1. Truck was not there for appointment 2. After 45 mins. They were sending us another location but I refused 3. Refuse to match price for available upgrade earlier because Manager was not there. 4. Truck was rusty and making noise when acceleration. Overall, it was too noisy to talk at drivers seat 5. If I have confirmed reservations. They should inform us before wasting 45 mins after appointment. 6. No parking spot, I am told to park my car in different plaza

Excellent service, efficient, prompt, curteous and knowledgeable team at this location. Good job guys! Pickup trucks are pretty filthy and stinky for trucks with less than 5k on the odometer. Relying entirely on construction crew workers to clean inside of truck after a rental for days on the job does not work guys! Pls take the time to clean inside/detail inside of cabin - at least occasionally! Felt like showering and laundering my clothes after every pickup truck rental, as hands literally stick to the steering wheel and center console. I did not get hepatitis (yet) so that's a plus...but lots of room for improvement on this front.

The first trailer I was given had a faulty door. I had taken it to the lumber dealer's, but could not open the roll-up door to load my purchases. It was off its track. I had to cram the lumber into my SUV, then drive back to the uhaul place and get a new trailer. I was lucky they had one. It was in much better condition.

They didn't do a truck walk around to ensure there's no previous damage. Ther wasn't enough $7 dollies so I had to get the $10 dollie. I didn't even end up using it since it's so heavy. I couldn't see the dollies before I purchased.

Kudos to staff. As I was leaving one of the more senior guys noticed the car dolly straps (dolly empty) were in a position where they could have gotten wrapped around the dolly wheels. He fixed them for me and also replaced a hinge for the ball that wasn't working quite right. Trailer itself worked great for my 4000 km trip.

The trailer door was basically broken. There were rollers missing and some of them were in the trailer itself. The door was very difficult to open and got repeatedly stuck. The rollers that were still attached were all rusted.

I arrive at my pick up time and this location was not ready with my truck. They promptly assign another truck and let me go on my way. About an hour later I get a call saying they assigned the wrong truck and asked if I could bring it back. I found that call super aggravating; guests rent the trucks for moving, did they think I was just sitting around not using it? I had told the UHaul employee, Adrian, no I cannot return it; it was already 90% loaded.

i dropped the truck off at 7:40 told the stuff member i'll be back once i pick up my car cuz he had told me he can't leave the store cuz everyone's outside, so i went to get my car n come back n the stuff member that told me come back after picking ur vehicle up had locked the doors n apparently i had to go back the next day to get my deposit…

No improvement needed, based on my overall experience. As well, I used movers connected to UHaul. Best moving experience in my life and I have moved many many times. 2 young, respectful, kind, hard working fun young men. They insisted I let them do all the work. They worked at a excellent pace , loaded and unloaded the truck perfectly. I moved from a house to a place with elevator. Believe me those wonderful young men worked hard, from beginning to end! Highly Highly recommend going through UHaul on Fairway Rd Kitchener, for all your moving needs! THANK YOU

I booked a truck rental aver the phone. I explained that I need to pick up the vehicle between 12-1. Also, informed that, am not going to be the one that is going to drive it. I was told it doesn't matter. I was told that the rental was for a day and I'll be charged only for the hours I use it. When I came to pick it up, I was told I have to returned it by 4pm. I told the receptionist that, that is not possible. I explained that I requested for longer time. reception told me she doesn't care what kind of agreement I did with the person I book the truck. and she wants the truck by 4 period. That was rude. she didn't gave an option. I came up with my own option. Will rent again only if there is no other place to rent.

In the past 2 weeks I have rented a car hauler 3 times because I found the equipment and the price right. Today's rental was neither of those. The trailer I rented was defective because the previous renter had damaged the straps to hold the car down and failed to notify on its return. The inspection on its return never caught this so I was sent out with a unit that I could not strap the car down. Because of urgency I jerryrigged the tie down by cutting a personal strap into 2 pieces to tie to the straps and hold the car on. I informed the attendant on my return about this issue and I thought I was going to get a credit or even a no charge because of this situation. I have gotten my receipt and was charged full price and I am not real happy with this. The previous renter knew that they damaged the straps and covered it up. I would like a response. I have pictures showing how I had to strap the car down in case someone doesn't believe me. Dan

We had an excellent experience! We had originally reserved a cargo van at a home improvement store only to be informed at 8:00 the night before that our reservation had been cancelled due to lack of vehicles. We were left scrambling as we had already arranged to pick up our purchase. Luckily U-Haul was able to accommodate our last minute reservation. You will be our first choice from now on!

Originally, I rented a pick up truck for 10:30 at the Charles st location. They called me the same day to tell me that my order has been changed to 11:30 at the Fairway location. But, I drove by the Charles location and there were two pick up trucks outside.

This location charged me an extra $32 for gas after I put gas in, on top of the $62 for the rental of a pickup. $94 total for 1 day, so they mislead people with a false $19.99 listed price. Avoid this location or get scammed.

The person I spoke to on the phone was abit of a ass. As I called to state I would be late cause everyone that was suppose to help me move didnt. And he stated it would be 300$ additional to the cost for each hour! Didn't even take in consideration I was alone moving my whole apart my self! I think it's a tuff thing to do like I think as I get older I'm looking for more customer service and sometimes I can see how this is hard. Like when I got a text and I asked which number did it go to and the answer was "the one you gave us" a simple the number we have here is ×××-×××-×××× I did get the text after we went over the number. I also didn't enjoy looking like a fool with the exiting via the gate I'm like driving up and like assuming it will open and I get out hit intercom nothing and then it opens. Like maybe take some time and just say so just pull up to the gate and it should open. Also the gas thing is strange when I rented a van from home depot it has full of gas and all you had to do is full it up again and return it. This gage system I'm sure works but I didn't understand it like do I move that sticker thing maybe I was too panicked and adulting is hard for me just my thoughts have a good day

The $19.95 deal ended up being a $37.00 bill without insurance. I drove 20 kms total in town. I was unaware it is now .57 a km added on until they told me when booking a van. I paid $8 in gas for a total amount spent being $45.00. I believe your advertising of 19.95 a day needs to change as it is no longer this deal.

I booked, checked in online and paid, but when I arrived in this store your customer service told me that the cargo trailer is not available after wasting my time around 1:30 hr. While there were a few cargo trailers the same size as I booked but she told that they are booked for other customers. Am I not a customer? When a customer books for a exact date and time, he have already arranged for it. Anyway, the manager of this store ‘She' is not a polite person. While I was turning my car to go out of the yard, she arrived with her husband and told, are you Farahani then told that get off the yard because she told that the customer service agent is crying! I ask you What was my wrong? Your manger spoke impolitely. Please consider the problem and get back to me. Thanks

Th customer service experience with uhaul is embarrassing. the representative was less then human in the manner in which i interacted with her (Karon Mcdonnell). every response was a cut and paste response that was devoid of any humanity. Multiple failures occurred on this rental experience! 0 accountability on uhaul has been taken, despite dozens of calls and emails. i would strongly encourage people to actively refrain from using UHaul as they have lost the abilirty to provide any level of customer service.

My preferred location was Kishki halal super market, and they didn't call me to say the location is changed. Pick up time took more than almost half an hour that was not expected. The milage was calculated from Nearby UHaul and after changing pick up location the milage was not enough to arrive to the destination snd they charge me that was not fair. Last one, I asked them add utility dolly's and the price was 7, and they charge me 13$ With out saying that price is not the same as shown as 7$ ticket.

I know it is not easy but access is difficult at this location. I followed a tractor trailer in that blocked most of driveway. I squeezed by eventually by rubbing the trailer tires on the Northside curb. After getting past I had to deal with another tractor trailer on the other side of gate leaving.

We accessed our unit just after the hall floor had been waxed. It was dangerously slippery, like walking on an oiled surface. No signage warned us. We both came near to falling. An hour later it was just slippery but managable. Not sure why you would wax that floor but if it must be done signage should be posted to warn customers. You could be sued.

The customer service at this particular location was not very good. Rented a truck also from here and had to walk to get it. As this was booked online the truck should of been up front and ready as the parking in the back to get it was a an ice rink. There should of been more effort into having this completed. JoAnn

When I booked I asked for the largest unit available. When I arrived from Windsor I was told that it wasnt available and had to go with the one below. I brought a 3 bedroom and a basement home with me and had to stack my things very high to make it fit into the unit I was given. We made it work but things got squished in the process. Maybe in the future there should be some way to make sure that what the customer books is what they get. Besides that I was happy with my experience.

You need to update your site to say that bigger trucks are not available online. And that you need three references to call when picking up at 7am. It was great waking everyone up. Also you had no trucks in three cities surrounding me so I had to get one an hour away and pay the mileage. Plus the store locked it’s doors 20 mins early and the staff looked at me outside like I was stupid. Will not do this again.

The staff wasn’t on the same page at all. I moved to London on September 4th and I went in to move all of my stuff out and to cancel and someone told me it was fine and I should just wait until the end of the month and to call them to cancel so I left to London and then on called on September 30th to cancel October 1 payment and someone told me that it was all good and my automatic payments were removed. I then got a voicemail from someone else saying that won’t work because the lock was on still, I called them back and a new person answered and explained it to me and I told them I was coming home on the weekend and I could do it then and they said we will still have to charge you for the unit and I had to take it off that day or I’ll have to pay. So I called my mom in Kitchener and I asked if she had a key and she didn’t. so they called me the next day and said the same thing on October 1st and I told the guy that when I walked in on September 4th to cancel it he told me I was lying and no one would’ve told me that.

I wasn’t showed the room on moving day. Lock was not removed from storage space. I realized the space was too small for my items getting moved in. I asked for an upgrade but was denied. Staff wasn’t at all helpful. I was told to come back the next morning to ask for an upgrade. I was not able to move in on day 1. Did it on day 2. Upgrade took 10 min. To do the next morning. Could have been done the night before.

The staff forgot to unlock my unit after I checked in. I arrived after office hours with my hired 80 dollars per hour living helpers, and we waited for about 1 hour for customer service to pick up my call. The customer service had no way but to tell me to come back the second day. In total, I wasted 3 hours because I cannot get into my storage unit. The 3 hours were completely wasted, and I had to hire them again.

-Too expensive. -charged late fee multiple times and unable to pay over the phone or on the app. -when emptying storage unit, found multiple boxes and items wet from them "cleaning" the storage hallway. -Overall experience unacceptable. Will NEVER use uhaul again.
