In addition to the truck I rented blankets. The fee for the blankets was $20. I returned the truck clean and in the same condition as rented. This location charged me a $25 cleaning fee because the blankets were not folded. The contract does not state blankets must be folded on return. Your Canadian online reservation system need technical repairs! This is the second time that I have rented in 3 months. Your online system has a glitch that will not allow you to complete the full registration. You must call customer service only to be told that your system doesn't like Ontario driver license registration input. What??? Isn't that to whole point of online registration in that you can do it yourself without having to call your American office, wait on hold indefinitely and then have to actually go the location to finish your online reservation??? My biggest issue is when I tried to call a local U Haul number and I got diverted to a US customer service agent who apparently did not have access to my account so I get put on hold indefinitely while they try and reach the local number. Overall terrible experience. From ordering online, receiving confirming my order but not at the correct time or for the correct timeframe. Only thing they got right was the day I ordered it for. Had to return within 6 hours and could not get in to daughters new place until next day. Reserved a contactless pickup so we wouldn't have to go into the building because of covid. We had to go into building and wait in line then through the building to get to the lot, I know parking is limited and this location is geared more to storage but the truck was in the very back corner of the lot. After completing the online found my truck steps I had to walk all the way back up to the building and wait again to get the key. The staff were all very helpful and very nice but it probably would have been faster and more convenient to just do it the person way.Heidi S.

My license was expired bc of the pandemic and inability to take driver's test. Ministry if transportation has ruled all expired licenses are extended until January 2022. The girl at the counter was very rude to me and told me mine was expired "too long ago" and that I could go to service ontario. I explained I could not bc i need a road test and in my area they are not booking until October 2021. She would not accept my license. I think uhaul needs to understand the implications of the pandemic to drivers licenses and include this in their policies. I was fortunate to have a friend with me who booked on my behalf. This was very stressful and as I needed the uhaul for work to move clients, it was essential that I be able to book a truck. I work in the shelter system and am a housing stability case manager for youth. I was very put off by my experience but what is more important is that if I hadn't had a friend with me, I woukd not have been able to move 3 clients and they woukd have had to remain unhoused or in the shelter system until another uhaul could be booked.EMMACATHERINE W.

The rental truck was clean, when we loading it's begun poring down the rain and some of our valuables got wet. I also rent the truck for 14hrs which is from 5:30pm to 7:30am and we're able to finished after 5hrs and returned truck back to same location. They sent me a bill extra $40+tax with after hours charge. I find it hard to answer whether I would recommend this location since I find all of the Uhaul locations are pretty average and with virtually no competition they don't need to be pleasant in order to keep your business. I ordered a furniture dolly when I placed my order online. They told me they didn't have one when I went to pick up the truck. I said why wouldn't they if it let me choose it on line. I was charged for two rental periods despite retuning a trailer for 6 hours at 9:30 AM and returning the rented trailer at 3 o'clock PM on Saturday, April 10th. Upon receiving the invoice at 5:52 PM, I called to dispute the double charge when I had returned the trailer three hours previously and was told the second rental period would be dropped. It currently has not been dropped and I see no particular reason to return to this location for future rentals when it is more interested in running a scam to double-charge customers than a legitimate business.PAUL P.

Followed directions given to me by uhaul. Alarm went off when I opened unit. Went and spoke with management, they "helped" me briefly. When returning to unit, alarm went off a second time. Returned to talk with management, they had left for the day. Returned to unit a third time - no alarm. Was told there would be a lock in the unit - no lock present. Luckily I had a lock in my car, installed on unit. When returning a week later, there was a management lock on my unit because my lock was improper type. I had already been on the road for 10 minutes when I got a text message regarding the condition of the truck. Typically a staff escorts the renter to the vehicle and a circle check is done prior to leaving the lot. I took my own photos as evidence but send me a text message for a circle check survey after I was already gone and driving is silly, then by the time I opened the Linkin the message it had expired. I'm also curious as to how the vehicle was cleaned to follow safe Covid protocols as there was general grime all over the interior and common touch points had not appeared to have been wiped down for some time. My overall experience with the staff and the facility was good. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in resolving my issues with the storage unit I rented. However the unit I had rented, I am not pleased with. The framing and the drywall are coming apart. With minimum effort, I would be able to enter the adjacent storage unit. The door to the unit I had rented was difficult to open and close. I had to exert a high level of effort just to get into the unit and to close the the unit. I used the storage locker for short-term storage of my late father's household goods until I could get the auction house to come pick them up. The check-in process was very slow due to computer issues, but the person who checked me in provided the contract and lock to me for pick-up later in the day. The check-out process was very quick. I immediately raised the issue with the staff only to be told the dimensions were only approximate. I appreciated the service. Pros- Easy account set up, friendly staff, and great prices. Cons- Need more camera surveillance throughout the compound, extended and 24hr access only for registered business owners/contractors. Either chosen access type should be available to ALL customers, at least extended access to all with contractors/business owners continuing to receive 24hr access but as a type of business ownership bonus for choosing to store with UHaul. The access issue is kind of a big deal to me as my wife and I started a family owned business venture specializing in Lawn care/Winter Maintenance. It's off to a rough start but our operating hrs are an 'On Call 24Hrs', 'You Make The Call and We'll Be There!'.. Unfortunately the business is unregistered with BBB...but policy is policy.
