Got my moving truck, the door was broken and had to be slammed shut. The â€œLow Priceâ€ sign was left in car when I got in, took up space in vehicle. When I return the vehicle I was told I would be helped by a employee. After he disappears for 30 min, I track him down in the store to help, Manager Sherry Kutcher then walks up to him and tells him to stop helping me. She proceeds to help 2 other customers before getting to me (I arrived before one of them). When she finally does help me I tell her the door was broke and she says she already knew that, no apology. She proceeds to tell me my gas should be over half a tank and that I owe a gas fee (She looks at battery instead of gas meter and I had to correct her). She then gives me my total ($20 more than original price and I ask what the fees are and all she says is that I went over miles and didn't put enough gas (gives me no details on the mileage). By this time I had been waiting for 45 minutes to return my vehicle after a long day of moving so I didn't have the energy to dispute with Sherry. I tell her I've been waiting for over 40 min and she doesn't even acknowledge that. I didn't even see what she was charging me for, she showed me no breakdown of price. Sherry then walks off and says nothing while I was left standing at the trailer, so I had to walk up to her and confirm I can go, she says â€œSure, you can goâ€. I've been here multiple times and this was the worst service at a location I've seen. Sherry is unfit for her job and I'll be reporting to her higher up that she takes a customer service class.WESLEE L.

Was charged 2 days on my rental and I only used the equipment for 4 hours and was returned on the same day. Receipt reflects 2 day rental. I tried calling the store but the whole day phone was busy and wait time was 50+ minutes. Customer service at this location is always poor. Next time I will be using a different company.JUAN A.

Good store, great manager although usually understaffed, they do with what they have. thats why i took the first truck available on my last visit there. knew it would be cutting into m rental time if i waited for them to clean the truck, even though they insistingly offered to clean the truck before i left. then i got in the truck and knew why. it was definitely the marijuano wagon before i used it and really only a few items left behind by the previous person(s) so i got charged the cleaning fee $ 25 SMHadrian A.

This was my first time ordering UHAUL online, it was fast and easy. When I got to the location to pick-up the truck, everything was fine. I followed all the instructions that was on the APP for my mobile pick-up. The prompts did not indicate to open up the trailer and check inside. When we go home to load up the truck, it was dirty. There was cat litter inside the trailer, it looked like something spilled and they didn't finish cleaning up the truck. I took pictures of course. The problem was when I had to return the truck the next day. The UHAUL at this location wanted to charge me for "clean-up". The Supervisor on the yard was rude and arguing with me. He started speaking Spanish to the other worker in front of me. I understand Spanish, I'm bilingual. Then he walks away and says to talk to the manager inside the store. The manager inside the store was very understanding, polite, and had great customer service. It was just frustrating that we could not take care of it from the very beginning. First of all, I reserved an appliance dolly and when I arrived apparently there weren't any. Why is there an option to rent an appliance dolly if there aren't any? That was the main reason I decided to rent a truck from U-Haul and we weren't even provided with what we needed to move our appliances. Moving took 10 times longer because we had to carry everything such as our fridge and washer/dryer instead of using a dolly. Even worse, a worker told us we wouldn't be charged for it since it wasn't provided but when we returned the truck we ended up being charged for the dolly. The guy who attended me was on the phone as he was helping us talking about his plans for his new year celebration and they consisted of smoking weed. It took about 40 minutes just to get reimbursed. This whole location was very unorganized and honestly I feel like I wasted my money coming here.Genaro G.

I reserved in advance and checked in before getting in line and it still took one hour to get my equipment the woman that helped me looked like she didn't want to be there and had a slight attitude by the way there was only 6 people ahead of me in line! On the other hand the young man that helped me hook up the trailer was very nice and helpfulBernardo D.
I reserved the truck and I also checked in early on my phone. When I got there I had to go inside to still check in. There was probably 10-15 people in line and I waited in line for 45mins. The girls running the office were beyond rude. They spoke to every customer like crap. When I turned the truck back in at 5, it was closed so I did what I was suppose to do. The next day I got my receipt and my total was $124!! They also said that I put 47 miles on the truck. I literally live just 3 miles from the uhaul store in Fontana The most miles that could have been put on that truck is maybe 15 miles at the most. I went from the uhaul store to my house and back. I didn't put 47 miles on that truck. I also stopped and put gas in the truck. I put more gas in it then what was in it when I pick it up. I also got charged $24 for gas. I put gas in the truck!!! This Fontana location is very very broken. It needs to be addressed and something needs to be done. I will never use that uhaul again. I will just go rent a truck from Home Depot.Kimberly O.

Truck was really dirty. Dirt blowing in my face constantly. Sticky muck all over the cup holders. Could barley see out of the window. One of the worst rentals I've had.CHRISTOPHER O.
I made a reservation to pick up a uhall for my move in date of 12/18. When I arrived to the location I noticed there was a big line. After waiting for more than 30 min. The manager made the announcement that their systems were down. I work in the customer service industry and I get that computers go down but, for the manager to make the announcement after 45 min. Of just waiting there is unacceptable. The only reason the manager decided to communicate was when customers started complaining. When I finally made it to the front, the manager decided to leave right in the middle of a huge line of angry customers. Leaving one representative alone to deal with everyone. The only representative left started assisting me and you can tell she was very angry. She started making remarks about quitting her job and how upset she was that her manager left her. After an hour of waiting I finally got my keys and went out in search for my rental. I could not find my rental, I had to get someone to help me locate my rental. The representative that assisted me could not find the rental either. I waited another 30 mins to get my rental. While I was waiting I found the manager chatting it up out side while there was frustrated customers trying to get their move started. The manager had no control of his store or his associates. I was there waiting in line & the whole process took an hour, no one walked me out to the truck nor was the utility dolly nor all the blankets I ordered in the truck I had to find someone to get them & I only got 4 when I was supposed to get 12!!! Then the drop off was very difficult I couldn't understand the representative because of his accent & we had to text back & forth we're exactly to drop the truck & I had to let him know the dolly & blankets were in the cab so they wouldn't get stolen smhBONNIE H.
First - you need to invest in your infrastructure. Your servers went Down and your system crashed causing all your customers to wait hours. Second- invest in your employees, you definitely have a labor shortage. Third- lock your trucks at night so the homeless don't go in and shit inside the cargo area and light fires to keep warm at night. Over all bad experience. They gave me the truck with almost no fuel. I bring it back with more fuel that I received it with. No gas credit. A 19.99 pickup truck rental is total lie. I ended up paying 90.00 dollars. I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again. Total rip off ! Employees didn't have any empathy for the customer. They could give a rat ass. Hi I didn’t understand why ? He took a picture of my card and then when asked he stated he do that, but when I asked so why are you using it By hand in the computer 🤔🤔🤔🤔we do both he said. Explain why no answer. My card to go into the building didn’t work. They tried with no idea why. So she tossed by card in the trash. She wanted 6 numbers and I asked for information on how to get in she said * then the six numbers then#. That didn’t work . U-Haul's very competitive, perhaps best, prices while not imposing a greedy move-in fee is a refreshing surprise. Getting stuff into my 2nd-floor unit without an elevator was a bit awkward, but I'm a better man --pumping iron-- without the noise, and I likely saved time. The office person forgot to give me a map of the units in the hallways, and there's no arrowed marquee and no unit numbers marked at each of the numerous halls of units and stairways leading to the 2nd-floor halls. The card swipe entry is fickle as it doesn't work on the first few swipes. Alas alack, the facility has only one dolly.David F. | First Impressions
