Changed my reservation, they kept trying to make me return at the original time and threthened to charge me a $50 fee even though day before change was approved. Day of told me a manager would call me to see if it was ok to keep truck longer because they still showed original times and had rented truck out to someone else. Manager never calls.

When I arrived to the store and received my rental. I was told that the truck was on empty! I said will I receive another unit. She said you have 2 options. We can cancle the rental or you go get gas. Great customer service. I couldn't postpone my rent when I have friends helping me move. Terrible service. Would never recommend.

Booking online and getting the equipment is pretty quick and simple. The CUSTOMER SERVICE side of a rental operation should be focused immediately for future repeat business and recommendation to friends and family. Poor telephone answering skills and communication within employees. I was spiken rudely by Dawn when answering phone call and was unpleasant when returning the rental. Another lady who answered my call in regards to extending my return time didn't convey or input my message to other employees, which resulted in constantly on calling my home while I was away on a move. Everyone enjoy great experiences when renting an equipment and sharing that experience with others = happy customer and free advertising. Is that paradigm too old fashion? I think that's the hallmark of any customer oriented business.

It would be nice if making a reservation on the mobile app could be streamlined a bit. Also when calling a rental center to see if a unit will be available on a certain date/time they should look that up first before asking name, phone #, where are you going etc. just to tell you there's nothing available then take another 10 minutes to search for one ..other than that Uhaul is great.

The Fontana location itself was not a problem. Overall, it was fine. Once we actually got Fontana to pick up the truck, things were mostly ok... HOWEVER, getting to that point was an absolute nightmare. I initially booked the truck early in the week of our move (Monday or Tuesday...our moving date was Saturday). I reserved online and chose 7:30 am from the drop-down menu because we wanted to get things going early in the morning before it got hot, as well as allow friends who were coming to help us load the ability to assist us in the morning and then have the rest of their day to do whatever they wanted. All seemed well until 5pm the night before the move (Friday) when I received a text saying that our truck would be ready for pick-up at 9:30am. Obviously, this was problematic considering that I had reserved it for 7:30 and all our movers were coming at 8am. I immediately called hoping to resolve the issue and was told that 7:30am was before business hours and nobody would be available at that time. I inquired why it was an option online if it wasn't an option in "real life" and nobody seemed to have an answer. They just kept saying "I dont know, it shouldn't be an option online." Yet, it was, because that's what I'd chosen! Anyway, the person I spoke with said they would try to solve the issues and a few minutes later I received a call from someone else saying that there was still no 7:30 option but they would continue checking around to find us a solution. Next thing I knew, i was receiving a text saying that our (late) 9:30 reservation had now been cancelled and the truck would be available for us at 12:30pm. WHAT?! Yes, someone cancelled our incorrect LATE reservation and changed it to one that was even LATER. At this point, it was after hours and when I called to say someone had yet again messed things up, nobody answered. We resigned to the fact that we would just have to make due and contacted everyone who would be helping us the next day to tell them to come at 1pm if they happened to be available that late. Fast forward to the next day...we show up at 12:30 (the new late time we had been assigned) walk in, inform the person at the desk that we are there to pick up our truck and the person looks up and says "What truck?" Yup. It wasn't there. Apparently whoever had the 26ft truck was holding it hostage and would not return it until 6pm that night. Had anyone called to tell us this? No. Had anyone tried to be proactive prior to us showing up and find us another truck? No. So now it is 12:45, people are coming at 1, and yet again, we have no moving truck. At this point, Candace (literally the only helpful person throughout this entire ordeal...who was manning the desk at the Garey, Pomona location) set to work calling anyone she could thing of to find us the best deal on the biggest truck she could find. She managed to get us a great price and find us the 26ft truck we needed way out in Fontana (remember, we are in Pomona

I had reserved two furniture doll, but it took 20 mins and they only found one. I was told that the system lets you reserve even if they don't have them, and that they tend to walk away. The truck pulled to the left anytime the brakes were applied, and the lock on the back didn't function (it had been cut), so I had to purchase my own lock. The women who checked in the truck told me the manager would call to discuss a credit, but I never got a call from the manager.

Horrible customer service, truck lost 20 gallons of fuel because of missing sensor that I eventually fixed myself after sitting on hold with roadside assistance for over an hour, got a reference number to get remberised for missing fuel but they wouldn't honor it when I returned the truck.

I needed a pickup truck to haul my travel trailer up to the campsite because my truck broke down on the way. I arrived told them what I needed and obtained a contract. When i checked the truck there was only a 4 pin elec hookup and I needed a STANDARD 7 flat blade elec hookup they didn't have an adapter so they said I had to rent the larger truck so I did that and he asked which size ball and i told him 2 5/16" the truck only comes with a 2" so it would not work so he said I had to go to the next larger truck and I could use my personal receiver so we did that arhat did work. The problem is I had to rent a much larger truck than what I needed at a much higher price because the other vehicles didn't supply the standard equipment need to haul a travel trailer. When I returned the vehicle I happened upon the manager and he said they don't install the 7 flat blade hookups because people don't haul the size of the trailer they are supposed to they haul overweight ones. So I'm punished because other customers don't do what they are supposed to do? I felt that haul was not providing the best customer service. All the employees were courteous that is the issue I could rent a regular truck to haul all because of the wrong type of electrical hookup not provided. Could very easily provide a 4 pin Male to 7 flat blade adapter to solve the issue. Jim Butchko (951) 314-0464

The girl at the desk did an excellent job being thorough throughout the contract process and Edgar equally so in evaluating the truck with me prior to handing me the keys. The wonderful lady who made my reservation deserves recognition too, she was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and just delightful. P.S. the governors are the only downfall.

One of the rear lights fell out while we were on the road and we had to stop and reinstall it. On the same day we got the trailer after leaving the lot the lights stop working and we had to find another U-Haul place to fix it.
