Unfortunately the storage was not available. Staff offered a storage that was almost double the price so I declined. I reserved the 1st floor $59.99. Staff was nice. However, I feel like they wait until customers arrive and then are forced to modify the reservation in order to make more money. Totally unprofessional. I had to leave without renting the pickup after the assistant manager took my picture and said he needed the names and phone numbers of 2 people. I've been renting cars and trucks for over 30 years and never been so humiliated in in my life. The guy was treating me like a criminal. Check engine light was on at pick up. Exchanged to a van with accident damage to the rear bumper that fell off when I stepped on it to enter the rear doors! Attendant was profiling Black Customers and refusing their Bank Card as accepted payment. When I presented my Bank Card that I used there before he questioned if was a regular customer at that location. Once he asked his coworker not the Manager he then accepted my card that I used there on my 3 previous rentals because his coworker said that I was "COOL" I felt very insulted and profiled! Reserved truck was not available so I was sent to this more distant location for a smaller truck and was unable to complete my move at one time, resulting in an additional month's storage bill. Rep did not verify the amount of gas in the tank and became inpatient with my husband, hurrying him to just sign it. There was only half a tank but the paperwork claimed it was full and we were responsible for that amount.Jeffrey M.

Very professional costumer service, easy to rent specially if you make a reservation, very clean equipment. I almost saved half the price of regular or average rental, that was my personal experience, Dennis and Alexander, helped with this at Foothill yard in Fontana CA, and yes I recommend UHAUL. Girls in office are extremely rude. Got the truck got home loaded it full ready to go do what I needed and there's a flat from a old bolt that appeared to have been in there for awhile even the roadside guy said looks like all they have been doing is putting air in it. I didn't meet my cut off time to get to where I was going because I had to wait a hour and half for someone to come fix the tire. Called customer service and ask to bring back this morning once Im able to unload the truck was told I'm going to be charged for another day...ummm no I don't think so not my delay or error. I have returned from a move I helped with last year. Also rented a truck to pick up furniture we bought at an Estate sale. Now I move this November znd I finished today. I have rented mzny trucks since 2018. A 10'-15'-26' & 3 pickups. Each time your crew made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Never had a problem. My experience was very pleasant! Once I arrived I didn't have to wait long, the guys behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. When I returned the truck, I was quickly taken care of and was back in my car within 5 minutes. U-Haul should be thankful they have an employee like Miguel at this location.This was my first experience here, and it seemed like they were understaffed, along with a long line of angry customers, and at first I thought I was going to have a terrible experience. But Miguel was a one man show, and handled everything as best as possible. He was the cashier, customer service guy, propane guy, forklift operator to get my u-boxes, and just about every other job (while under pressure) at this location. It's hard to recommend this place to a friend because it seems very hectic and understaffed, but I'm just glad I came on a day that Miguel was working because if not, this place might be a disaster. Don't know what he gets paid, but I'm sure it's not enough.Ricky C.

The windshields interior and exterior were dirty/hazy and hard to see through with the suns glare. Most importantly I received the truck with slightly less than a quarter of a tank of fuel. Unacceptable when the first thing I have to do if fuel up before my 130 mile round trip. All trucks should be fueled and full prior to pickup and required to be filled full at return by renter.CHRISTOPHER J.

Customer service was subpar to say the least. Truck had low tire pressure, one headlight was out and the second was flickering. At one point while waiting to get the truck all customer service reps left the floor without even addressing those of us waiting. 10-15 minutes later, a mechanic came out to assist. Completely lacking in customer service and unprofessional. Listened to one rep belittle a customer ahead of us. Ridiculous! I will try my hardest to never go to this uhaul again!RUBEN B.
I went in to get my auto transport I rented three weeks prior and that I had confirmed two days prior. I get there and the line is long. No worries I'll wait. With four people in line the girl at the desk stands up and radios to someone to come get the line and looks to the guy beside her and says â€œI'm clocking outâ€ and just leaves. With four people in line. Then we had to wait for another person to come help us as the other worker had to help his customer get a truck. I finally get helped and am told my auto transport isn't there. I said just give me the tow dolly. He runs it through and I proceed with payment. I had already rented a truck earlier that day for around 1800 so my card had unbeknownst to me exceeded the daily limit. So the payment didn't go through and he simply looks at me and says â€œit declined sorry broâ€. He didn't help me and ask if I had any other forms of payment and what the charges would be for those payments. I simply left to the bank and pulled out 400. I get back woth cash and said here I'll pay with cash. He then tells me, after I already went to the bank, that cash entails a $100 deposit. Frustrated I left and went to the bank again and came back. Luckily the guy who helped me was gone and Alex helped me get everything figured out. Was very displeased with customer service at this location and will never come back to the Fontana Uhaul.James K.

We have gone to this location several times to rent a UHaul truck and have been generally pleased with the service. However, this last time, we were assisted by Miguel Rios and experienced possibly the best customer service of all time. We needed to rent a truck to help our son relocate to another state and Miguel was so professional and patiently answered all of our questions. He made what could have been an overwhelming experience a relaxing one. We were so impressed with Miguel and we recommend anyone needing to rent a UHaul to go to the Fontana location and ask for Miguel Rios. He is the real deal!Vickie G.
We did not have a good experience. There was one lady running the front desk. She had a younger girl there assisting her that looked about 14 years old. We came in to check in and so we did. The clerk told us to come back inside in case there was a pad lock on the trailer (which there was!). Mind you, this is supposed to be a mobile pick up which to me defeated the whole purpose! Then we go back inside where the line was crazy long at this point and told the clerk that there is a pad lock. She sends the little girl out with a huge set of keys and the whole time the little girl was on the phone talking while going slow and being nervous about which key it was. Finally after a half an hour waiting there they decide that because they could not find the key to the pad lock they had to switch us trucks! But at this point, we are running out of daylight, time and not meeting our promised deadline. So then now the gas and the mileage will not be exact or correct because nothing was documented! I don't want to be charged for extra mileage or the gas!Mark N.

The only reason I would not recommend this facility to a friend is because they have regular sized doors instead of the garage pull up doors so it was hard to place things . The height of the storage isn’t very high. And the hallways to the storage are narrow . I know this is a storage but they have mouse traps inside of the unit which takes a little space and it’s a little sketchy because I’ve never seen traps inside storage could be a good or a bad thing. If you don’t have large couches to move in this space would be good for you . Also Miguel knows how to handle difficult customers. I was helped by him initially and he was very pleasant but when I came back I received another girl which was pleasant as well and then was helped by another girl which complicated certain things because they did not relay messages on .
