I had a reservation for a 26ft truck at your orchard park rd location. I was called a half hour before our pick up time to say they didn't have the truck for us. We were told to reschedule or go 30miles to another location! We went to the other location and still had to pay for the gas and mileage even tho it was Uhauls fault we had to go there! I feel like the situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally and I will never use uhaul again.

I was charged three times! When I called regarding the charges I was told I would have to wait three business days for my refund. i feel that is unprofessional because I should have never been charged three times. They also charged me for gas and I have proof that the truck was returned with more gas than I received it! never use the genesee location, they will charge you and act as though they dont know why you were overcharged!!!!!!!

The guy at the counter was not in any hurry by any means even thought there were 5 people in line. The truck served it purpose but was not well maintained at all. My things got a bit wet due to a hole in the roof but no damage. I ordered 2 dollys for my move and when I arrived there was only one available. This is not the first time u-haul has made my harder then need be. It's been years since I've used them and won't be again.

Improve web page, to accurately show trucks properly. I had first rented a cargo van online with understanding that it had a tow bar only to find out when I got home, no tow bar! But, online it indicated all trucks had towing capacity. Show equipment with or without, proper!

At first I got the uhaul for an other address, then they called me and changed the pick up address for a further address. So I drived at least 15 miles more for their rescheduling

I was charged a higher price, than what appeared on my receipt. I was told it was only a hold on my account, but it wasnt. I've made contact with my bank and found it to be a charge on my account not a hold. And the charge was a higher price than the price that's on my receipt.

Seriously, get a contractor or full-time industrial engineer to look at queuing problems. Understaffed for a high-traffic time on a weekend. Hour wait times and poor late-return procedures led to my rental being available an hour after I had reserved it -- and to me being in line for an hour. Seven other unhappy customers. And from the reviews on Google, this is not an uncommon occurrence. A little optimization of staffing and you'll have fewer people who will actively avoid using U-Haul ever again.

I waited a hour and a half in line to get my truck. Workers were very rude to everybody. Truck drive like crap. I was not pleased at all.

Scheduled pick up time and time I arrived on location was at 9am. Walked in to a line of around 15-20 reservations in front of me. After waiting about 15 min I had my fiancé sign in for express check in. Went up to the ONLY person working and was told I could not use express check in because I didn't have my truck number only my reservation number. Continued to wait in line another HOUR AND A HALF. When I got to the front of the line the same (and only) cashier said. "Oh you have express check in" I told her I came up to try and check in almost two hours ago and she said again I needed my truck number to check in ( I watched three other reservations be checked in through the express check in with no truck number provided). She then told me she couldn't check me in for some reason. Finally made some phone calls and checked me in. When I can back to return my truck at around 6:15pm I was told to go into the store again to check out. Walked in and there was a line of about 10 reservations with the same ONE person working. I will NEVER go to this location again. HORRIBLE customer service and overall HORRIBLE experience with uhaul.

I called ahead to give an estimated arrival time. When I arrived I was told no one knew how to take the car off of the auto transport. If the person I was travelling with had not known how I would have had to wait until the next day to return the auto transport.

I was supposed to pick up at a different location, and when they didn't have the truck available, due to someone dropping off in a wrong location, they told me my reservation was transferred to 1400 genesee street. When I called just to make sure they got the reservation, the employee told me that I had to make an entirely new reservation, asked for my credit card info again, and then quoted me $50 more than I had been quoted in my original reservation. UHaul needs to better train its employees because she had no idea what she was talking about and clearly didn't even look in the system to see that my reservation had simply been moved to that location.

I was given the run around by the Niagara falls ny location originally looking for a cargo trailer. I was then sent to kenmore ny location per the associate making a reservation for me to only show up and see that he reserved me another utility trailer. I then had to drive to the Buffalo NY location to pick up my correct trailer. Which was 2 hours of my time and money when Im located 15 mins from the falls location. The associate that hooked up my trailer also did not do a good job of securing it. The trailer bounced right off the ball while driving. Thankfully we were able to slow down and weren't in heavy traffic while this occurred. My boyfriend spoke with the assistant manager who told him she would have the manager reach out to us. He did, and told us that we returned the trailer on a different vehicle when the trailer never left the GMC envoy. He claimed that it was returned on a different vehicle and THEN proceeded to tell us he needed to review the cameras too see whether it was it wasn't. He also told us he would call us back within the hour because he had to speak to the corporate office and now a day and a half later still no reply. We will be calling first thing tomorrow. I have used uhaul multiple times, but NEVER have I received this kind of blatant lack of attention to detail or this low on a standard in safety protocol/customer service. I will be taking my future business elsewhere, and I would appreciate a call from someone in the corporate office. Thank you.

My only negative comment is that I would have really liked the option to rent a vehicle that had never been smoked in. No amount of cleaning gets rid of that odor. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

The driver side tire was under inflated, the driver side tire strap appeared to have been cut there for almost too short. None of this was apparent till I loaded the towed vehicle. This should have been checked before being rented again..

The trailer wasn't suited to my vehicle. The hitch connection too low to the ground. Consequently the safety chains dragged along the ground during my 400+ mile trip and split apart. I was fortunate not to have lost the entire trailer.

Apparently one staff did not show up for work and another was late. This caused a slow down at the counter. However that worked out well for me as the person I made the reservation with did not catch that I needed the pick up time for 11am, not 9am. When I got there at 11am for my truck I was told that if they had been running on time I might have lost my 9am truck.

I was given a truck that did not match contract information. When I went to put gas in vehicle I noticed my paper work was not same as what was in truck. I then went to explain to manager at lication. I was told that she knew exactly what happen and it was not my fault. She then shed she could not close out my rental and that a manager will call me to fix it. I never received a call. I After a couple days I call the customer service center and spoke with a sherry who put in a claim for me. The next day I was actually charged 2x for my rental, which has come out my account wrongfully!! I am still recieving invoicrs stating I still havr a outstanding balance. This is very bad customer service and they should pay more attention when logging in the gas on the trucks. I would like to get my money rhat they took asap.I will be contacting BBB and consumer affairs if I do not recieve a call to fix this issue by 5/15/2017

Nothing against this location but My experience with Uhaul was terrible. I paid for a truck and trailer on Friday. i picked the truck up on Friday and returned on Saturday for the trailer but they didn't have it. I was told it was stolen. I then had to drive the Uhaul truck across town to pick up a trailer and drive back to this location to have my jeep loaded. it put me way behind schedule buy 4 hours. then to top it off I had to pay for mileage being over. The people this location were very nice and helpful though.

The employees need to work on their customer service skills and learn how to talk to customers I was told after I reserved a truck for 24 hours that I couldn't get the truck once I got there to pick it up had my movers ready to go and was not accomadated at all and it really put me in a bind and uhaul or it's employee did not show any type of care at all that I was told one thing and get there it was something else and I was treated as if I approved my own reservation I will never deal with uhaul again or recommend to anyone

If you rent from this location. Make sure you bring it back when someone is there. Don't believe the 24 hour drop off. I used a trailer for 3 hours and got charged for 3 days because no one bothered to check it in the next morning. I called three times to customer service and just get the run around!!!!!!! I was told that "maybe they didn't come to work today".

Make the online form not accept a submission for an untenable time/truck/location. I repeatedly received calls letting me know I had to change time/truck or location. Ended up having to switch to a radically different location to maintain time and truck.

The woman that assisted me at the location was really helpful. However they don't tell you when you call to check on your reservation that certain vehicles have to be paid on a card not cash so I almost lost my reservation. Thanks to her at the store ..im sorry i forgot her name, I was able to get my move done. No thanks to customer service on the phone

Had to drive 25 minutes to pick up trailer. Found this very inconvenient since there are several locations within 10 minutes of my house. Was very frustrated that the insurance rate I selected on-line when making the reservation was not what I ended up paying. On-line I selected the $25 insurance and yet they charged me $38 when I picked up the trailer. On-line it said the trailer was worth $6000 dollars and then the insurance at the pick-up site said the insurance covered $15000 (SafeTow). Why the difference!! Very frustrating when your online pricing says one thing and you charge another when it is pick-up time. If U-Haul wasn't the only game in town for trailers, I would go elsewhere in the future. You need to change your questions as well - not sure what prompts someone to read the comments (guess I will find out), but hard to answer the above questions in anything but a positive way and my guess would be only poor reviews result in someone reading the comments.

we ordered the trailer at Orchard Park location, we live in Boston NY which is about 15 min from that location. we had to go to Genesee St to pick up trailer...real inconvenience. They said there were no trailers at Orchard Park the day of pick up-I understand that, so I feel u haul should have made sure there was a trailer at Orchard Park for me-the Genesee St location is 30 miles away!

I am very happy with the service at 1440 genesee st however at the corner store in buffalo was another story as not only did they have me waiting over a hour but they didn't have my truck. I had to call an agent as no email was sent to me for the reason of this. I then had to travel to another location causing me to be late with the movers costing me more money as I was paying them hourly.

The truck was very noisy n kept stalling but it got the job done thank God the streets were dry. The staff was very professional however in returning the truck an employee checking trucks as they come in to make sure they were clean ran up behind me started me and I hit y my knee on the hookup on the back of the truck was in extreme pain immediately all the was from my leg chin up to my buttocks my sciatic nerve bothered me for 2 days I limped. I keep my feet up for two days with ice on injury. It appears o k but I had to report it never know whay damage it may have caused some injuries don't really show up until days later. Can you ease send me an incident report form as I woulx like to fill it pit. I askef gor one 1 and was told go on line and get it

The time of a whole being placed on the credit card used to pay for the account which was settled by a debit charge of returning the money within 3 to 5 days I feel is totally absurd that money should be released immediately it shouldn't take that long for that money to be released at this point it will probably cause me at least two possibly three overdrafts to the tune of $6200 that is a major disappointment with U-Haul yeah it says it in FinePrint about the whole thing tell you how long before the money will be released so I am quite disappointed with this area of my rental and payment if I was advised the length of time that the hold would take for the money to be returned to me I would've made $100 cash deposit without any problem and then the balance of payment would've been taken from the cash that I would've received my change accordingly furthermore the real representative that I spoke with Vodafone through the 800-number was quite snippy and rude and he also hung up his phone on me since all calls are recorded then that phone call should be checked the phone call was made approximately eight 13 p.m. December 9, 2016 by me Alexander Peterson phone number 716-602-6317 I've been very satisfied with renting with you all though this whole situation on my bank card was extremely disappointing and concerting 3 to 5 days a returning money that is mine is ridiculous thank you for your concern may God be with you and the company of U-Haul employees .

I rented a trailer 2x in a week the first time I could only rent the trailer for 4 hours because they double booked the trailer because of this I was unable to finish the job I paid 60 dollars and was unable to finish the job because of the reduced time. I came back again to rent a trailer Thursday and requested some type of discount because of this and the general manager said that u-haul doesn't issue any type of discounts. I have already informed friends;business partners and other businesses who we are associated with who also use this company for the same reason I do of the ordeal that I faced and we will not use U-Haul again because of this. As a general manager you should know that the customer is always right and do anything you can to satisfy that customer. I didn't want a free rental I just wanted some type of discount but as I stated previously I will not to use U-Haul until this situation is resolved. Thank you for your time. R+GAuto

I had the worse customer service experience I ever had dealing with Uhaul ever, at the Genesee st location. The service representative sat at the counter with her cell phone on speaker and was having a very inappropriate conversation, while I was standing there waiting for the other rep to come back in with the mileage. I also tried to explain to her about the gas tank needle was reading incorrectly and I put $10 in the tank, so I would not be charged $4.00 a gallon. I forgot to check the mileage before leaving but realized once I returned it had to be different than what was on the contract. I kept the for a little over an hour and only drove 5 miles or less but was charged for 17 miles...Being a former assistant manager for Uhaul in Richmond VA in late 80s..I am so disturb with the unprofessionalism I don't know if I want to ever go back to Uhaul.

I didn't use the uhaul do to other issues. I brought it back approximately 15 - 20 min later and explaind that I was scammed by someone that I was supposed to by furniture from and that I was unable to do so I asked if I could be credited seeing that I am moving next week I was told no because I took the uhaul of the lot.

Returned truck before it was due and they did not put it in the system correctly and was charged an extra $175. Had to go to the location get it corrected, called their customer service had to ask for manager for them to contact another dept to get authorization code to call my bank with. Lady at the front desk was not professional, on a personal call eating a bologna sandwich.

Management was extremely helpful when I had inspected the U-Haul container and realized that it may not be large enough to fit my personal belongings. Immediately called another store to see if they would be able to bring over another container - which they did within 30 min. Able to load both containers with all of my belongs. This is my second time to come to this store for assistance with long distance moving. Absolutely recommend! Thank-you, Genesee store staff. Great job!!

I reserved a truck and ended up having to use a Cargo van because the location over booked. Absolutely awful customer service experience. Had to make several extra trips to get my stuff over and had to put several extra miles that i was charged for all of the extra miles i should not have had to put on if i had the correct size truck!
