When I arrived at 7:45am for my mobile pickup there was no truck assigned to my account. I called customer service and was told that I would have to wait for the location to open at 9:00am, even though there were plenty of trucks sitting around the parking lot. At 9:00am two guys showed up unlocked the store, left it completely unmanned and began moving trucks around, apparently checking them in from the night before. When asked if I could go ahead and check one out that they had already turned around I was told that they all needed to be checked in before that could happen. At that point I tried to reason with him telling him I had been there since 7:45 with an appointment set up for 8:00 and he said, “sucks to be you” and ran away. At that point I called customer service again, and had actually the best experience on a customer service phone call, maybe ever. A woman named Samantha asked to speak to the employee and began to yell at him over speaker phone, it was amazing. She then created another mobile reservation for me for a truck she saw had been turned over by them already so we could get out of there (2 hours later). The system U-Haul has for check-in and reservations is truly flawed. I feel like Samantha should probably have a better job and I won’t be using U-Haul again.

I was told 79 cents a mile, so when I returned the u haul I only used a extra 32 miles. Somehow 32 miles accumulated to 46 dollars and even if the tax on the 79 cents a miles was raised to a dollar, it still wouldn't cost 46 dollars!! So unnecessary taxes and overcharged!! Will never use them again!!

Pick up went great.
On return, the male employee never approached me or identified himself as an employee of UHaul. Instead he walked around the parking lot and appeared to be pecking on a cell phone. I actually thought he might be there to rob me. Finally he walks over and asked me to back my truck (and your trailer) around a long moving truck, then down a little narrow corridor and finally park that 12’ trailer between two smaller trailers at a diagonal. I replied that I was not a commercial truck driver and this was beyond my skill set as a driver. Your employee just stood there like a dunce and stared at me. I then asked if he didn’t have a piece of equipment that he could move the trailer with and all I got was some mumbling. I had to ask him to repeat every single thing that he said, so I have to assume that nonsensical mumbling is basic communication for this employee. He finally brought out a contraption that he was able to put the trailer onto to move it into place.
Am I to assume that a class C license is required to return one of your 6x12 enclosed trailers? If so I will just rent a van elsewhere since I’m NOT willing to assume the liability of tearing up my truck and your equipment trying to do something that I am not qualified to do. Truth is … I believe he just didn’t want to be bothered.

I reserved a 26 foot truck in advance. I showed up to pick it up and there was no truck in the right size. I understand that things can happen, but in my opinion, I should have been called or contacted in advance to let me know that size was not available so I could make other arrangements or go to another location if necessary. This impacted my entire move and the length of time it took my movers. I had to pay them overtime because it took more trips than expected.

Teagan (spelling?) was very friendly and as helpful as possible. Truck I was supposed to rent wasn’t returned by the previous renters, so they had to get me another one. But I had to travel clear across town to a different U-Haul location to pick it up. Then I had to come back to the Gray Hwy location to pick up the tow dolly. And when I had to return the truck and dolly, I wasn’t allowed to return them both to the same location without being charged the extra $100+ fee! In a situation like this, U-Haul should do better to accommodate the customer and allow them to return both items back to the same location since the equipment rental items were originally scheduled to be picked up at the same location, not two different locations. That wasted my money in gas and it wasted my time as well. I didn’t want to still be driving back home after dark but it ended up being dark before I got back, which severely affected my anxiety.

First off when I received the truck it was half tank of gas and the paper stated 5/8 of gas. I took a picture of it at 9:37a.m. and when I returned the truck I put it back at 1/2 tank, showed the picture to the associate there. When I check my receipt they have charged me $17.00 for gas to put it on 5/8 which it was never there when I received the truck.

My experience wasn't what I Expect it. It was very Unorganized . The store manager needs to be trained and hospitality. And customer service The employee was more professional than the store manager. And my opinion the employee who name I can't remember should be the store manager but a Video was given to the Regional manager. My lock was changed on my Storage and nobody can tell me why because my bill wasn't due until the 18th and the store manager seem more upset about me complaining then finding out what happened. And if that wasn't enough she had the nerve to send me a bill. If possible I would like to speak with the President of the company. About my experience. Because I truly believe to continue to have that store manager employed would be a disservice to customers as well as the company.

UNABLE has always been my go to truck rental company. However, my first hand observation of your staff being rude to the customer in front of me which then transferred to me. No customer service or people person skills at all. If he treats every single one of UHaul's customers in this fashion and he continues to remain employed?? My mom and I rented a truck from yal and a storage unit yesterday. Need later hours in the evenings to access units due to people work until 6:00 pm and can’t access units after 7:00 pm. Facility also never had the sliding doors open/unlocked a majority of my visits and made it difficult to get items in and out of storage. Thought it was unfair with prices being hiked during this high rise in inflation and individuals struggling to make ends meet.

Not climate controlled as every time we went in it was very hot and humid, we did see cockroaches upon three occasions. I could see the sidewalk outside from inside our storage unit. Two of three doors to storage unit building were inoperable, we needed to go to the office building to ask for the automatic doors to be opened more than once. Staff is not friendly, they need better attitudes and more staff.

I made my reservations and it stated that I didn’t have to pay for the storage. When I get there to put my things in storage, I was told that I needed $74 more money. I had to find somewhere to put my furniture. Then I had to borrow the money to get the storage. I have been charged for the gas to put back in the truck. It was a big mess going back and forth. Worst experience ever!!!!

From the very moment I came in the facility Ms Singleton was the person that had to wait on me and I have been very well please with my customer relations with her and her staff. They are helpful and try to answer my questions when I have them. My over all experience is well pleased. It's good doing business with Ms Singleton and her staff.
