Sirs: I originally rented two Dolly’s and 1 dozen pads from U-Haul in Macon GA. I returned 1 Dolly (I did not use it at all) and 6 pads because I did not need them. The pads were never taken out of the bag they were in. When I got my final bill I was charged for 6 pads saying they were missing. I again left the pads and 1 dolly at the Macon Store. According to the Store clerk I should have been credited $15.00 for the cart and she forgot to mention the ½ dozen pads I brought back. She stated herself in a note she gave me that she was not able to adjust the final price and asked that it be adjusted on the other end. I changed my destination to Alderson WV and it was there that I dropped the ½ dozen pads that I had and the one cart I had. Instead of being credited to my account with the $15.00 she said I should get and of course the pads I didn’t use I was charged. Mind you I am not complaining. My experience with U-Haul has always been great as it was this time. Everything got confused when I took things back. I am asking that you refund me the $12.00 that was charged to me for the “missing” pads, the $15.00 for the cart I did not use and $12.00 for the pads I originally left at the Macon Store. My issue is I didn't even have the truck 24 hours and I got a bill saying I had the truck for a week and went 900 miles well let me start off first the guy said I went 700 then 200 now 900 I call bullshit I'm highly pissed and will not be paying any of theses charges uhaul is nothing but a scam how in the he'll can someone go 900 miles in 10 hours please explain this

Train the staff about the customer service and maintenance. The car dolly tie downs/ hinges were all rusty and were unable to unhook the cars front tires. Had to spray WD-40 to literally unlock those rusty tie downs.

While the specific location in Macon was perfectly fine, my overall U-Haul experience was very poor. This since to stem more from the fragmented way the company is run with each location being under a different marketing group, etc. I originally made a reservation a week in advance for a 17' truck to be picked up in Conyers, GA, in the morning and to be dropped off in Macon, GA. This reservation was made for the cost savings it afforded. I was contacted two days before the move to be told that I would not be able to pick up at the location I wanted, I would have to use a 20' truck, not 17' since those apparently do not make one way trips, and the truck would not be available till noon. This would not work at all for me, so I had to cancel that reservation and scramble to a new reservation and change my plans on how I was going to pick up the truck, who was going to drop me off, etc. I ended up picking up a 17' truck in Macon, which I would then make a round trip with. The main issue with this is the cost. A one way trip was listed as a flat rate price for the first 90 or so miles, which was plenty for my needs for a one way trip. However, if you are going to be bringing a truck back to the original location you pay a flat fee of $29.99 for a 17' truck, plus you pay $0.99 a mile. This pricing change increased my bill by over $50! And the main reason for this is that the website were I made the reservation said nothing about a 17' truck not being able to make a one way trip, nor did it alert me when I made the reservation that I wouldn't be able to pick it up till the afternoon. I talked with a number of customer service representatives from U-Haul, and no one was able to provide any sort of help or discount to make up for the hassle I had to go through. I have moved numerous times in the past and have always used U-Haul without even looking at other companies, however this experience has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will be sure to check with Budget (which is right down the street from where I picked up my truck) or Penske rental trucks before I consider U-Haul again.

I had to go find somebody to help me. When I found them the customer service was horrible. The representative didn't speak or even say "how may I help you?" He just looked at me. After setting up the service he said that he would bring the truck around to do an inspection. Being that I have rented with Uhaul before I know that the representative and customer do this together, Well he brought the truck around, walked past me did not say anything and went inside the building, I thought maybe he went to go get something that he needed so I waited. Maybe 10 minutes later I walk inside and he is setting up services for other people who had just came in. He asks if I had done the walk around yet. I told him no I was waiting on him. He proceeds to tell me I can do it without him so I did just that. The equipment and everything was good but the customer service was horrible.

I must say that the lady at the desk had the utmost professionalism. She had rude customers but never broke character. She took the time to be as helpful as possible with me and went so far as to get on the ground to assist with hookup. She is a great asset to your company.



The latch was worn and loose. I had to stop and repeatedly secure the doors which opened 4 times. I was lucky that I did not loose any of my property. And lucky that nothing flew out of the trailer which could have been a potential safety hazard to other drivers and a liability to UHAUL corporation. Get it fixed!!!!!

The girl that was there when I picked the truck up was extremely rude didn't show me anything on the truck and was on her personal cell phone. I also made a reservation for 7pm for 24 hours so when I get there that night the guy said that they would charge me for two days if I took it that night for whatever reason so. Just not happy with there service.
