The floor was a little messed up, and I would have definitely liked to have a light in my actual unit itself, but over all it is very nice. My unit was in max security. The Hollywood location always does a great job. The issue I had was more to do with the online reservation. It was the WORST experience I have ever had. I selected another location in Shreveport, the Cubby Hole storage unit location. My receipt confirmed this location and I uploaded my driver's license. When I went to Cubby Hole, they told me to go to the Hollywood location (which is quite a bit further from my home). I went to Hollywood and tried to pick up the truck via my phone app and it didn't have my driver's license or anything. So I had to go inside and they took good care of me. But overall, very DISSAPPOINTED in the U-haul online system. It made for a terrible experience.DAVID H.

Make sure employees verify everything before closing out ticketâ€¦.I turned truck in around 15:00 young male told me my closing price was like almost 230ish IMPOSSIBLE!!! He also told me I had had the truck for 2 days charged me xtra for fuel and all. 16:30 would had made 24hrs of me having the truck as I was explaining to him but he continued to be nonchalant telling me I had the truck for 2 days plus fuel it pushed me off COMPLETELY never had a bad experience over at this oneKIARA J.

Rental was a year agoâ€¦not sure why getting this. People well great inside. No help in ensuring all lights worked. Truck well worn, tow dolly brake lights didn't both work and second broke last day. Truck check engine light came on second day and a technician never showedâ€¦.DAVID S.
Make sure the equipment is cleaned before renting to a customer. There were roaches in the van, I had to clean van myself. I spoke to customer service, I should have received a discount but when I returned the Van after keeping it for 16 days at $608 the representative at the counter said U-haul don't give discounts for roaches and I should have brought the Van back when I saw the bugs. Very disappointed with U-haul. I also had a recent rental at the same location prior to this rental for $379. That's near $1000 and U-haul didn't give a discount for the roaches or clean the Van.ANGELA LASHUN W.

I had reserved a 2 way truck. Pick up in Bossier City & return to a UHaul very close To my delivery address. First, My reservation was changed to one U-Haul and upon arriving was told I had to go another location. This causing more miles to be added to my rental(approximately 35 extra miles). And then when returning to the original drop off location , was told there would be an additional $180 charge unless the truck was dropped where it was picked up. This again caused more miles to be added and the gas level to not be the specified drop off level Causing another added expense. All of this really makes me want to not use U-Haul again. Worst rental experience I have ever endured.Jon J.

Poor customer service. Gave me the wrong trailer. Was not able to turn it in when I got to my destination on Candlor Rd. Piss poor service at the pick up and turn in location. Called the number where I pick the trailer from, no one pick up the phone.. if it was not for the U-Haul place in Forest Park and the help of a former employee. I was given a vehicle with the check engine light illuminated. Asked the rep. to look at it. When she came back she said that vehicle always has the light on and nothing is wrong with it. I went on and took it and during the drive the A/C went out. I took the vehicle back and told them I could not drive this vehicle in this condition. I had to unload the vehicle and return the vehicle without completing my move. Then I had to pay for the use of the vehicle I couldn't use in the first place...EDWARD H.

The truck was very poorly maintained. It only had 70k miles and it drove like a truck with 200k miles. The engine would rev up to 4 rpms and stay there after braking or even just letting off the gas. The people that I received the truck from didn't want to help me hook up the trailer to the u haul. And when I asked for instructions on how to use the truck and hook up the trailer the guy gave me the minimal instructions that could be given. The employees need to take there job more serious because a person can be seriously injured or killed when operating big equipment like these.Anthony S.

Do not lie and put into the rental agreement that there is a free storage available at their destination location. I was extremely pissed when I arrived from Shreveport to Conroe, TX, and the manager got snotty with me that they did not have any "Free" storage available at all, as they were fully being used. The after hours were VERY stressful!!! I got to the U haul place to return the truck and literally sat out there for 30 mins before anyone answered the phone to direct me what to do. I feel as though I was charged entirely too much. I feel as though I was charged for being late but, in all actuality I was on time BUT had to wait 30 minutes before speaking to someone.
