Overall great experience! My only complaint is that I received an email the Dah prior to delivery an the time quoted was no where near accurate! The people I spoke with were all very professional. But UHaul seems to have a breakdown in communication with its drivers a dispatch. Once the truck left no one seemed to know or have the ability to find out how long it'd be till my box arrived. Email said between 8-10 AMâ€¦it didn't show up till after 5 PM. Again, people were polite and as helpful as they could beâ€¦but I certainly didn't need to be here waiting all day. The Gal who dropped it off an picked it up was incredibly nice! The gal on the phone was very nice an as helpful as she could be. I'm just surprised that they had no tracking or contact with the driver after she left the facilityâ€¦.Stuart J.

The unit that was assigned to me was in disrepair . The door track was so damaged that the lock latch hardly functioned. A U-Haul employee had to literally beat the latch to close so that I could lock the unit.Michael V. | Overall Experience

Manager was rude and was acting like he didn't want to help, if it was not for the cashiers I would of walked away. The vehicle was not clean and had an odor. Also I returned the vehicle in early and my funds were not immediately available on my debit card. Y'all need todo better about thatAndrea S.
The vehicle I rented had to be towed due to a mechanical problem. I spent eight hours waiting for a tow truck that never arrived. I finally locked the keys in the vehicle and took a Lyft ride to my destination, incurring a $115 expense. While I waited for the tow truck I had innumerable phone calls and text messages with Uhaul representatives in an effort to find a solution. Ultimately a Uhaul representative told me to leave the keys in the vehicle because if waited so long for the tow truck and one hadn't arrived. The representative said the tow truck fee would absolutely be waived. The representative sent me an email to that effect. Now Uhaul charged me over a thousand dollars for the rental. The charge includes the full duration of the rental - a duration that wasn't realized due to the mechanical problem. Uhaul also charged me for the tow fee, the low fuel fee (I couldn't refuel it because it was inoperable hence the need for the tow), and the roadside assistance fee (this should be refunded since I waited eight hours for roadside assistance that never arrived). Uhaul failed to acknowledge my inconvenience or make any attempt to offer a financial credit for my very poor experience. As a result I filed a dispute of the charges with my bank and per the protocol my debit card associated with the transaction must be canceled. This creates serious financial strife for me. I did not receive the benefit of the Uhaul I rented. More, I've incurred significant expense and strife as a result of attempting to do business with Uhaul. Please make this right.Christina M.

The man at U-Haul 5109 Financial Plaza, Shreveport Louisiana DENIED ME A RENTAL TRUCK! He claimed that location has a 100 mile IN TOWN rental use only! I was discriminated against because another man was about to leave in his rental and said he was going farther than 100 miles! He was a dark skinned black man with a low Caesar haircut. He was VERY RUDE AND I GIVE THAT LOCATION 0 STARS! I went to 2205 Hollywood Avenue location and they were wonderful! The man EVEN called one of the employees of the Hollywood Avenue location and told them I was probably going to go there and I'm going to Mississippi, in an attempt to further sabotage and delay me on my business trip! His childish antics through my trip off 4 hours and I missed a super important meeting that cost me a lot of money!!! I am a young professional and I deserve the same treatment as any other older professional. I have never felt so discriminated against, and I'm black just like he is! The workers at the Hollywood location told me that he does this all the time and that is just an egregiously horrible way to treat paying patrons! This man should be fired immediately and I will call for that with the better Business bureau! How many other black people did he judge and turn away because of his own personal bias? He told me that if something happens to the truck he needed to make sure he gets it back and that was idiotic to say! U-Haul is a national company and has locations nationwide and services that they make us pay for if we need help! He is taking personal ownership of this business and try to conduct it in a way that I don't think U-Haul will be pleased with! I need the employees of the Hollywood location to disclose his name so we can report the right person to the better Business bureau and to u-haul. I will be emailing the owner of U-Haul about this act and I need compensation because I've missed out on opportunities because of his bias acts! How dare you call another location worker personal cell phone to try and deter them from allowing me a rental that I will be paying for?! There was no forklift operator available for the scheduled pickup. Had to come back a second day and wait 30 minutes for the pod to be ready. Was denied the $50 credit for a failed reservation. They told me the manager would contact me, but never did.John F.

Staff was excellent but the system is screwed. My reservation was set for 7:30am, mobile pickup but the app gave me. A message that I had to wait until 9. That cost me 2 hours of productivity. The truck is old as hell and the steering wheel needs a cover on it. I don't think it's unreasonable for Uhaul to purchase them. What's the gas mileage on those trucks.Kaylon J.

They had to test 3 trailers before they found one that they thought was acceptable. I had to return it because it was missing a hook on one side. Spent 30 minutes on hold trying to reach them. The lady who â€œhelpedâ€ me when I came back was insanely rude and wouldn't give me a full refund. I don't know how I could possibly knock something off of the MIDDLE OF THE TRAILER. It obviously rattled its way off because no one there is doing basic maintenance. If that hook had come off on the road with my car in tow I would probably be dead right now.Benjamin D.

The store manager was very rude and unprofessional as well as the staff at this location. I had my kids with me and as we was trying to return our truck we seen staff members smoking weed out in the open bu the return center, loud vulgar music was playing, my kids heard all the inappropriate music an smelled the weed smoke. I was very upset. When i returned my truck that was sitting on the lot all day because we was waiting on our movers. We was charged a extra 58.00 dollars because the truck was not unloaded. No other customers had that truck reserved so to get charged a extra day was very unreasonable. We were talked to by the staff and the store manger in a very unprofessional manner.
