This center is horrible. Originally they did not have the trailer for me to move the Ubox. And they have limited hours the fork lift driver is working. They Did not help to come up with a solution when all that was happening. I had to report it to corporate, who didn't even get back to me. Then I was charged for storage, even though it was their scheduling error that caused me not to be able to get my Ubox. When I finally rented a truck and trailers were available for my Ubox, it took them 2 hours to get it ready to go. And when I received the truck it didn't have a full tank of gas and they charged me for gas that I didn't even use. Poor service. Poor facility. Poor resolutions from corporate to the small office. Overall my experience was good. I reserved my trailer online via phone. The line to pick up the equipment was pretty long. I waited about 45 min in line to be helped at the desk. While waiting in line I noticed their were other customers who didn't place a reservation online and needed extra help to find a rental truck. (Online reserving should be posted somewhere in the store or on brochures for those who have never reserved) It seems like a lot of ppl are use to first come first serve to get rentals. Most of the trucks there were already reserved. I believe it would've been a quicker pick up if there was another employee there to help the manager. By the time I got to the desk the line was right back where it started when I got there. My overall concern is to have more employees to help with faster customer service. However, all of my needs were met and I was satisfied. The return part was quick and easy. I used the return feature online, so I wouldn't have to wait again for help. Thanks!Cynthia C.

Philip is an amazing worker! He goes above and beyond and he is very knowledgable about the equiptment. However, the workers do ALOT! The lines are WAY TOO LONG. They need more workers at this location. There are seemingly 2 workers and one line. This is absured with the fact we have so many willing workers that can be hired. I am not sure on the pay rate or the benefits... But if the work environment is improved- good workers will come. AND WITH THAT... Great customers will come.SHERRI LYNN C.

My husband (who is also on the account) picked up the trailer for me. Not only was he asked to provide info other customers were not asked, he could not take the trailer until someone from the alternate ph # answered! The first try I was busy and couldn't get to the phone. He was told to go away until someone picked up that phone!! If I wasn't busy I would had picked it up!!! Once I did answer the phone, the guys apologizes for having a wrong number!!!! I could hear my husband in the back saying â€œNO, that's the right numberâ€! So I told the man who I was and I did reserve a trailer!!!! Long story short, this whole experience is one I will not go through again, if I have to go further away to pick up I will!Tyler A.

Pick up process. I waited at my pickup location for over 30min to find out that they didn't even have my uhaul so I had to wait til the next dayABRIAN B.

I would recommend this Uhaul facility anytime. I have never had any problems with my reservation here. I tried changing it up and picking one up in Silsbee the day before. I drove 20 miles out of my way just to be told by the guy there that he didnt receive my reservation and my truck wasnt available and he wasnt coming in until 10am. I didnt have time to wait until 10am. He totally screwed up my plans. I guess the $50 guarantee wasnt in order there..that was my only dissapointment with uhaul. The manager Phillip Jarmon is the Worst!! I have ever experienced in all my times over the years of using this U-haul location. He very very Ruled!! He has a very very Bad Attitude!!! His Customer Skills are Awful!!! And he is very very slow!!. He leaves me at the counter and 4 other customers standing in line for 25 to 45 min on 4/2/2021. I will Not!! be sure you have the supplies that I rented. Did not have furniture pads or a utility dolly. Also, this was a one-way rental and my return location was 45 minutes away when there was another one about 2 miles from where I moved. Umm not happy at all with my rental. I picked it up at 11AM and that was fine. I was supposed to return it by 5PM on the same day, and I in fact returned it by 1:15PM. I was just emailed a bill for returning it on Sunday at 5PM which is complete and total LIE! I handed the Uhaul employee the trailer harness extender after I unhitched the trailer and clearly said my rental was due by 5PM today and I am returning it early. He said okay and thank you. I do NOT like being treated like I returned it on Sunday at 5PM.. I will going down to the Uhaul store tomorrow to clear this lie up and getting my $$ back. I was called on both my numbers but NO ONE left a voicemail or any issue of concern with my rental. It was only until 4 days later I get an email with double charges on it. Not happy at all!Frank S.

Philip and Chasity were both extremely rude. The location is understaffed. I reserved the truck 24 hours in advance and the truck was given to me on empty with the light on. I was told I must go straight to the gas station. The check engine light came on in the middle of my move, the truck overheated. I used the online check-in which doesn't help in anyway whatsoever.... They demanded a secondary phone number and wouldn't let me have the truck until someone answered their call. Mind you I'm paying with a card and paying extra for the insurance. When you order a uhaul online be more specific on the mileage rates. I had no idea that yall charge 1.09 a mile on Friday. I was blind sided with that when I paid and no-one at Uhaul had an explanation for itmichelle M.
The oil change light was â€œonâ€ and, when I mentioned, they said the van had to be sent off for oil, but they did say oil was added to van. It was a little worrisome, not knowing if there could be a problem. But there wasn't, even after driving 560 mi. in 2 days.THOMAS B.

Despite confirmation from Customer Service representative (Patricia) related to 10% discount, the Milam store indicated that they could not honor a discount because it was not indicated in the system. Manager (Philip) also refused to offer 10% discount on his end as well. Also, much more to my U-Haul experience from the day prior at 8161 Easter Frwy store also in Beaumont, TX where inexperienced staff were unable to install a hitch ordered from U-Haul website hitch on my vehicle and I never received a phone call from Regional Mangers (Alisa Bernard or Jerry Bowden) to discuss a realistic solution.Andrew B.

The woman working Saturday around 1PM (i-10, Bmt TX) was very slow in processing the long line of customers because she was training another employee. She didn't acknowledge any of the 7 people waiting while she came and went checking in and out one customer at a time. More staffing would have been ideal on a busy Saturday. After checking in my rental thoroughly and explaining everything and adding personal experience stories to her trainee, she said I was done. I took that opportunity to tell her there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the climate controlled facility(that I just spent 3 hours moving into). She laughed it off while saying her housekeeper was off today. She then went back into the office. I walked past an overflowing trashcan in the parking lot to my ride only to hear how rude the woman had been to my friend waiting for me in the parking lot and to another potential customer. Everyone that I had encountered prior to the this woman did an outstanding job handling my account, from picking up in lake charles to the multiple phone calls I had to make to find storage an hour away from where I need to be due to the losses in our hometown area. I had to pay extra to move and store my items due to the hurricane decreasing availability. A wrong turn upon arrival put me short in gas and over in milage beside being late w the truck. I'd expect the facility to be properly staffed and maintained. I also had a lot of problems with app account...I wasn't able to use it hardly at all. I don’t live here anymore so when the storage got flooded I wasn’t able to come here until now. When I went to clean it out they said they went in there to make sure there wasn’t any mold. Several pairs of Jordan and Nike sneakers are missing. I had a pair of red bottom heals that I only had worn twice are all beat up like someone wear them in a marathon. We were sorely disappointed with how this location handled our belongings during Tropical Storm Imelda, Sept 2019. The staff took it upon themselves to dispose of our furniture and various items without giving us a chance to make an assessment, even though they promised to do so. The items were in storage while we renovated our property and since then we've had to refurnish the whole house. Phillip, one of the owners of this location, is the ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to customer service.
