Customer service was bad , I paid on line and they trying to charge my card again and I got a email yesterday saying unpaid , I have my card with the charge on it , the check in had a guy working it and when I ask the manger for help he told me to wait , I will NEVER do busy with them again and I most definitely will never recommend this location to anyoneVickie O.

This specific place needs more employees. Everytime I needed to go to the front desk, there have been a 40 min to hour plus wait. Many times 20 to 30 minutes on one customer. The truck was great when I picked it up and the representative was very attentive and friendly. After completing the loading of the truck and starting my drive the AC in the truck started blowing very hot air. It would switch between hot and cold air for the drive. When needed most in traffic in both Houston and San Antonio the AC didn't work when the temperature was over 100 degrees. If noticed earlier I would have gone back to uhaul and switched the truck. At the turn in location there was construction being performed outside the front door, with concrete dust very thick in the air. When I turned in the truck the representative at the site didn't seem to care, he just told me he would put it in a report. He didn't even check it out. This was not satisfactory, the representative could have been more attentive. Driving a truck with no AC in these temperatures should not have to happen, better maintenance is needed to prevent this in the future.Mark F.

There was always clutter in the area of my stored RV. With 24hrs of entry I felt my RV was vulnerable. My concerns became a reality. Well over $5000 of equipment was stolen along with damage to my RV. I was later informed that this sort of thing had happened at other u-haul facilities after the fact. Not only the lost of my equipment but not so much as we are sorry this happened but I did get this request for a survey. Don’t think this is sour letter but and opportunity to do better. I truly believe 24hr entry is unnecessary. No one is moving at one or two in the morning, it only put honest people property at risk. Very poor security without accountability, the complete staff was great, Thank you for your hard work. In 2 years the rent increased almost 35%, with no added benefit to the customer. My trailer was broken into twice at this facility, so the security is very bad and zero accountability by the company, my expenses to repair this trailer were not refunded as there is no insurance available for vehicles that are parked in your facility, basically, you are charging for parking on the street with a fence that does not protect from anything. My pick up time was 1:30, they were busy and only had 1 person on the register. I even pre-registerd and it was still after 2:30 before I was given the keys. Then they gave me the Uhaul and it was on E! How is that even acceptable 😕 ?? I then had to go fill it up, and they couldn't even tell me how many gallons the vehicle took. They told me to bring it back with at least 1/4 of gas. Well why the heck didn't the person before me have to do that? The 26' vans / trucks are poorly maintained. The 1st truck i was given broke down on me in the middle of college street , the busiest street in beaumont , my wife that was following me drove back to the uhaul store and the employee made her wait inline and then when she got up to the desk he said well thats not my problem tell your husband to call roadside assistant but it was too late because the police had to step in because i was broke down in the middle of the road blocking traffic after being towed back to uhaul , the uhaul employee was very unsympathetic but did have another truck so I get in the 2nd truck and while waiting for the uhaul to do the inspection the employee backs into another uhaul truck while in the driveway with the truck im waiting on . After seeing this all happen I got in the truck and the brake light was on in the truck of course because it was just backed into another vehicle so I refused to take the truck with a brake light on .....I told them I'm just gonna go to a different uhaul location because obviously you guys need some help he insisted on giving me another truck and said he would push the drop off time back due to me troubles I was having , so I accepted the offer and go in the the final 3rd truck after doing my own walk around inspection in the pouring rain mind you.... after that I was able to get what I needed move done and when I did bring the truck back they charged me for 2 days even though the guy told me he would push my drop off time back . The employee lied to me I had no proof he told me that and I ended up getting charged for 2 days because the guy at the front desk screwed me ....as much as these truck cost to rent at least uhaul can do is properly maintain the vehicles . When we rent these trucks we have everything we own inside so it is very very very important that the vehicle is properly maintained thats the least uhaul can do and if they wanted to make good on the terrible experience I had they could refund me for the extra day the guy added to my account because he told me I was ok to bring it back at the given time I wouldn't be charged but I wasMichael B.
Uhaul is normally convenient and good for me, but the last couple of experiences have not been. In Las Vegas, I was told that a car hauler would be guaranteed as I reserved it 2 weeks in advance for a military move. I also called 3 days in a row preceding the reservation. Two days before my cross country move I was told the reservation could not be honored, forcing me to purchase a trailer for $3,700. First it's hard as hell to reach a human on the phone. The online option claims you can change or extend a reservation but that's a lie. When you go in there is only one person helping if he's even in the building and he's not very knowledgeable. He did t tell me that they don't take apple Credit card. As I pulled up to drop off my trailer the staff member looked at me like I was annoying him. I told him I was returning the trailer and he said â€œIt doesn't go right there, you need to put it over there.â€ So I proceeded to back it into the spot he wanted me to put the trailer and as I was finishing up and attempting to unhook the trailer he then told me that it need to be straight and that I needed to straighten up the trailer. When I arrived I stood in line for 40 minutes the line was to the door, because only one person was working at the desk on a Saturday. The truck had no gas when I got it, and when I brung the truck back with gas they tried to charge me a $100 gas fee.Lauren H.
The only issue I had was that I paid $120 in cash to the customer service rep for the deposit when I picked up the UHaul trailer in the morning. When I returned the trailer, he stated he didn't have any cash and that I would be issued a refund by check in about 7-10 business days!!!! Went in to rent a storage space for my rv. I was assinged a spot and went to unload. A Uhaul trailer was in the spot. Walked back to the office and spoke to the desk clerk. He said he would be awhile because he had customers. He was the only person on duty. He should have told the customers he would be right back and moved the trailer. He didn't and said i could get a dolly and move it myself. When you wait on a customer prior to other customers you should take care of that customer. Period no excuse for his lack of service. I have used Uhaul serveral tines before, i like climate control because it preserves my stuff better. When i moved the place was not dirty. My three main complaints are the storage thermostat said 85 degrees . The exit door at the end of the hall, emergency not the glass door there is a huge gap between the floor and the bottom of the door that air is escaping which contributes to the problem. Now on to the glass door it is broken falling off the hinges literally. The lock n key was in the storage when i arrived which was great! However the storage it self has insulation hanging down from the ceiling in my unit. So when we open the door the particles fly and guess where it’s landing yes on the items I stored. I got locked in the gate because it was broken my code not an interning customers code was i for 15-20 minutes, i pressed the intercom and no on answered after several times I tried. . This was upsetting mostly because i couldn’t get anyone on the local line or on the customer service . I’m just not use to no customer service like this. Additionally the young lady on the 1800 # was very apologetic and I did appreciate that. She said “ I’m very sorry this is not the experience we want you to have with Uhaul” ( she made the difference for me, i was really frustrated) and proceeded to transfer me to another department to handle my complaint. I held on another 10 minutes and I just hung up because that was an extra 30 minutes taken from me moving. I had people helping me. I went back to storage on yesterday and my code didn’t work again, so i had to sit in the line and wait till someone could look up my information, i understand that part bUt it really does negate the whole check in not having to wait issue. The young man did give me a card which worked and i did appreciate that . Never the less i am dissatisfied with my unit! I will be moving when my month is over, i don’t pay to get insulation particles on me or my stuff nor do I pay for my belongings to be the same temperature as the none climate control. Oh n I never had to sign in at the building ( when entering) so safety is also an issue, just drive your car up and the glass door opens up no code needed. The woman working Saturday around 1PM (i-10, Bmt TX) was very slow in processing the long line of customers because she was training another employee. She didn't acknowledge any of the 7 people waiting while she came and went checking in and out one customer at a time. More staffing would have been ideal on a busy Saturday. After checking in my rental thoroughly and explaining everything and adding personal experience stories to her trainee, she said I was done. I took that opportunity to tell her there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the climate controlled facility(that I just spent 3 hours moving into). She laughed it off while saying her housekeeper was off today. She then went back into the office. I walked past an overflowing trashcan in the parking lot to my ride only to hear how rude the woman had been to my friend waiting for me in the parking lot and to another potential customer. Everyone that I had encountered prior to the this woman did an outstanding job handling my account, from picking up in lake charles to the multiple phone calls I had to make to find storage an hour away from where I need to be due to the losses in our hometown area. I had to pay extra to move and store my items due to the hurricane decreasing availability. A wrong turn upon arrival put me short in gas and over in milage beside being late w the truck. I'd expect the facility to be properly staffed and maintained. I also had a lot of problems with app account...I wasn't able to use it hardly at all. I don’t live here anymore so when the storage got flooded I wasn’t able to come here until now. When I went to clean it out they said they went in there to make sure there wasn’t any mold. Several pairs of Jordan and Nike sneakers are missing. I had a pair of red bottom heals that I only had worn twice are all beat up like someone wear them in a marathon. We were sorely disappointed with how this location handled our belongings during Tropical Storm Imelda, Sept 2019. The staff took it upon themselves to dispose of our furniture and various items without giving us a chance to make an assessment, even though they promised to do so. The items were in storage while we renovated our property and since then we've had to refurnish t
