We had a very poor experience. We were confirmed online for one location and when we went to pick up the truck, the location had been moved, causing a 45 minute delay in being able to move. When we called the Ina location to discuss, the man who answered the phone kept me on hold for about 20 minutes and when he picked up, he was so incredibly rude. Told me he could change the location, but that he would have to charge me for it. This is one of the worst customer service experiences that I have had.JUDSON D.

This location always seems to be a bit short staffed. The employees work hard and do a good job but there is always a bit of a wait. Higher level comment...the process is slow even if I check in ahead of time and all my information is on file. Seems like showing id and paying should be enough. I reserved a 10ft local moving truck at a location near my home, but a day before pick up I was told to go to a location 15 miles further away from my home costing me $30 more for my rental. In addition, when I went pick up my truck, i was told there were no 10ft trucks left and was offered a 15 ft replacement. That was a problem because the 15ft unit would not fit in the area I was going. This was a problem, but was resolved by another customer willing to offer me his reservation for a 10ft unit. Your reservation process is not customer friendly...only uhaul freindly.GARY H.

We arrived to pick up our U Haul rental and was greeted by a line of people waiting to be helped. There was only one person working, general manager Mike. He made it known he was not happy by his constant loud sighs, annoyed body language, and out loud complaints. It took us 35 mins to get our truck. We asked if he could please make sure everything in the truck was working, due to us getting a repair truck the previous weekend from the Oracle location in Tucson. He rolled his eyes at us , sighed, and assured the truck was fine. Once he told us to meet him around front for our truck a female employee walks into work carrying her belongings and shouts to Mike â€œdon't even even ask!â€ and proceeds to start her shift. Once we went outside we had to remind mike of our additional rented tools (dolly & blankets) which he went back and got for us. We also asked Mike if he could check if the ramp worked properly and he only pulled it out 2 foot and pushed it back in. When I asked him to show us he told us â€œYou can check it yourself.â€ Our UHual had no lock for the back rolling door and the AC wasn't working properly. We traveled over 80 miles with a broken AC. My past 2 experiences have been horrible with UHual. They need more employees available to help their huge lines of customers. Preferably employees with actual customer service skills. Their process of handling rentals is not efficient and their rental equipment needs repairs prior to re-renting them. This is not where we selected to return our truck and I'm not sure why it was changed. This location needs help with customer service skills. My husband went left instead of right into their parking lot and got attitude from their employee. Most people don't scout out the local UHAUL to see where they need to park their 26' truck when returning it. When one is turning right into the lot and you are coming in at an angle, the signs they had on the right are not as visible. When we need a truck or supplies in the future we will pick another shop.Guy G.

The representative that checked me in to pick up the truck was the same person that checked it back in when I was finished with the rental. She was not a friendly people person and inviting to customers in the business establishment besides me. What really upset me was her not doing her job properly causing additional charges to my account that caused me to take almost two hours or of my day to sit on hold and speak with 5 different people trying to get my overcharged funds returned. Customers should not have to speak to give different people and sit on perpetual hold to rectify a problem from someone not doing their job properly.JOSH H.

My only complaint is that I waited a long time in the store before anyone came to help me. I knocked on the back window because I could see a man with a name tag working on a white truck back there. He deliberately ignored my knocking which was frustrating, so I walked around back to talk to him and then he was very rude to me. San Diego ended up renting from Penske, flagstaff ended up driving to Winslow 60 miles away and this time trailer not available so was sending me to another location that still didn't have the trailer. To make it short, I made reservation to pick up a truck at a location and drop it off at a different location. I drove to the first location and gave them my reservation #, they found it and I got the truck. When I returned it to the drop off location I was told you had to return it back where you picked it up, so they charged me about $140 more. NEVER EVER going to get U-Haul again. They purposely change you reservation type to overcharge you. Be very careful since lots of businesses do the same these days. Xfinity did the same to my account not too long ago and I cut them early so they said it was a mistake and returned my money. So if you cut them they might apologize, and unfortunately I didn't cut U-Haul, but don't just complain here, following your complain on their site please do file at BBB too so they get a bad record for cheating people.MOHAMMAD ALI S.

We rent the 10' truck. The miles of the car was not matched the receipt. It showed less than the receipt. The counter staff was not able the correct the receipt. Truck ran awful shaking wheel even after holding it with both hands and I explained this to the rep Angel and he stated it needs to be serviced never apologized and told me he would get me checked in after reviewing my receipt through email he never once told me I went over in mileage that my card would be charge additional money after the awful ride I experienced you would think an apology or discount would be offered. But don't worry U-haul I'll pay $200 more before I deal with unprofessional people any day as I am a manager and I wouldn't dare not apologize to any customer for a bad experience. All I can find is Sonia Weaver on my receipt I’m not sure if that was the lady that I had dealt with but she was very frustrated and huffing/puffing the entire time. Her and another worker were complaining about someone not cleaning up the storage unit I had reserved. To me that is unprofessional and doesn’t need to be talked about in front of customers. She told me she will have it cleaned out by 3. I had arrived after 3 & the unit was untouched. My fiancé had to go ask for a broom and a male worker told my fiancé to wait so he can ask if the manager wanted him to clean it out & a female worker said “no he can clean it himself” that is very rude! Pisses me off more that I gave Sonia the extra time to have it cleaned just to have my fiancé clean it out instead. My overwhelming primary purpose/need for a storage unit was to have a place 2 park 2 excellent like new condition motorcycles inside and to be able to access and drive them daily. However i was informed by the GM of the facility that Uhaul corporate policy precludes motorcycles from storage units unless the machine is drained of all fluids and the batteries removed. Therefore mt uhaul storage unit was worthless to me. That is an absolutely ridiculous overly conservative policy rule.
