I found ash from cigarette at several places inside the vehicle which was so difficult clean so that I had no other choice but to bear that through out my rental for 2 days. But otherwise vehicle was quite new and full of safety features which I really liked.

About what you would expect from a UHaul location--if your expectations are set low. If everything goes right, you'll be able to drop your equipment off, but God help you if you have anything go wrong. The workers are rude and are clearly just there for the pay check, so don't expect any degree of customer service. If you have any issues, they aren't able to help you anyway, so be prepared to spend 45 minutes on hold with the customer service line, only to be transferred to another disgruntled CUSTOMER (yeah, you read that right) then have to hang up and start again. Absolutely dreadful experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding UHaul if you possibly can.

It pains me to say this, but there was only one person there who was of help to me and had she not been there, the service I would have gotten would have worse then what it was. There was gentleman behind the desk who knew absolutely nothing...literally that was all he could say was "I don't know". That person should not be working there.

I had a reservation for 7am and the woman who was opening the location showed up at 7:30am stating she was caught in traffic. She said she would make an adjustment on my payment, but since I had checked in and paid online it would be a refund and I have not received it yet. I chose that pickup time because I needed to be somewhere at a specific time. Due to this situation, I was late.

I did on line check in which instructed me to proceed to the front side of the desk. There were about 5 people in line. I went to the front and the woman working completely ignored me. I stood there at least 10" before a gentleman came in and handed me the key. That's it. All he had to do. It would have made a world of difference if she would have said, "I'll be with you in a moment" or "my coworker will be back in a moment to help you".

Have equipment there that was reserved. I had a reservation at 10am. My truck wasn't available until 1230. Then was told I couldn't keep it the 8 hours I reserved for that I had to have it back in 5 hours because trucks were over booked and they needed for another person at 6 due to not having enough trucks to fill all reservations. There was a guy that drove an hour who had a reservation for a U-Haul and was told they could not get him a truck and no one called to tell him before he made the drive thinking since he had a reservation he had a truck waiting on him. There was a line of people waiting with just one guy checking us out. But some girl who came in with McDonald's for everyone she was just walking around keep saying she was coming to help and never did she come out look at the line grab a piece a paper off desk and say let me take this to the back she never helped the other guy. Only one guy hitching trailers to cars. Everyone was complaining.

This is my second time visiting a U-Haul within the same week and each time they had the same similar issues angry people upset because you all had overbooked their trucks I felt so sorry for one lady and she literally cried in front of me because you all had gave her truck to someone else. While I was sitting there they stated that they had another lady who was going to Texas later on that day and they were just about to overbook her truck it seemed like it was an ongoing issue to say the least. Also I'd like to add that I went to the U-Haul on bardstown road and when I had my issues there they were nasty and decided to laugh at me with an unprofessional customer service I'll be calling corporate on them myself.

Billed twice for storage AFTER the pod had been delivered and returned the same day. Terrible customer service phone line...the first call I was on hold for 45 minutes. The second....over an hour. Got a call back 2 days later. The charge was reversed and then the very next day...billed yet AGAIN. It took 30 attempts to get through to the local yard who was screwing up...yes...you read that right...30. Promised a call back within the hour ..three hours later...no call. Another 38 attempts to get the local yard on the phone...on hold for 32 minutes before that charge was reversed. They promised I wouldn't be billed again. We'll see ....I remain skeptical. It highly unlikely I'll ever use Uhaul again.

There is one person working at the desk and she gets slammed and can't return phone calls. however One guesses this is moving season, therefore, therefore there should be at least two people handling the desk and phone calls. When I returned the Vehicle I asked for another reservation and was promised another reservation text, however, tomorrow is the pickup day, and I have not received any notification.

Made a reservation a week before needed. Came to Bardstown Road location to pick up and they had no reservation nor truck available. Had to go to Preston location to get last truck that was supposed to go to someone else at 10 o'clock. This was the second time in a week that my on line reservation was messed up. Had to reschedule due to the mix up the week before. Very disappointed being I have used your services numerous times over the years. Your organization has gotten worse.

Reform' Uhaul Scheduling. I've experienced a terrible inconvenience; at ‘no fault'' to the reservations nor this 4612 LYNN VIEW location. Certainly, this reservation, will be forever com-memorable. Actually it wasn't Preston's fault- I actually had my original rental at Bluegrass store- but transport that was guaranteed- didn't make it to store when it was scheduled too. I had to go get my own at Preston- they were swamped with only one worker. The transport was pretty beat up on one side- but it did work. I was also overcharged at Preston on the bill- different than what Bluegrass quoted.

This was a terrible experience. Arrived 15 minutes prior to pick up time and no one was in the store for 45 minutes. Suddenly a woman appeared and when it was finally my turn at the counter she couldn't find the keys to the truck. I made an 11 o'clock pick up time so I could pick up my furniture at 12:25 in another city. They were very unprofessional.

Preston hwy location was great, nice people. But the UHaul company that sent me to the opposite side of town from where I confirmed my pick up is terrible. The company shouldn't give you a preference on where to pick up your rental is they're just going to change it to the most inconvenient location. Improve your system or change how you operate. I wish I could have gone off on someone at UHaul, but the nice people at each location are unfortunately submissive to the larger corporation's abuse.

Unfortunately, uhaul has lost me as a customer. I had a hitch installed and uhaul did not properly inspect my vehicle. Uhaul would of seen I already had a hitch but proceeded to install a hitch with only using the 4 bolts that came with the hitch and did nothing with the 4 bolts that were already on my 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Uhaul emergency roadside assistance took 2-3 hours to assist and that Technician that came to assist said we were lucky ithe hitch didnt come loose and hurt/killed someone or myelf (retired USAF/current government employee), wife (government contractor), and my daughter (Louisville women's basketball player). I will be seeking legal counsel regarding this so something like this would never happen to another family. The worst ever experience.

I canceled my reservation because my move in date changed, I had to get a uhaul sooner then this request which I did, when David called to ask about it he cursed at me and when I asked him if that was good customer service he said whatever and hung up on me. Moments afterwards I was charged for the rental, I've never considered using another moving service but after this experience I will never use uhaul again.

Uhaul sent me to this location after my original location did not have the equipment I requested. Unfortunately, this location did not have the equipment I needed either. However, they gladly upgraded me to the next size trailer at no additional cost. Uhaul needs to make sure they have the proper trailers in stock before sending people to other locations.

I arrived at midnight to the location (flew in from DC and needed to make a move and fly back next day) and after a long process of pre-approval which only was successful because I HAPPENED to have my home lease in my pocket (who does that?). They called several people in the middle of the night with obviously no success and then had the audacity to ask me if my employer could verify me....at MIDNIGHT. anyways, got approved. Yay! Then.... The box lock was stuck. It took me 15 minutes in the freezing cold to get the lock to open. Thankfully I've had experience with difficult padlocks. I FINALLY get the lock open and there is NO KEY! Customer service is unable to help me. So I'm stranded. I walk half a mile to check into a hotel and wait till the next morning. The next morning I get to the front of the line and calmly explain my situation and the response I get is "sorry bout that... So you need a key?" I kept my cool and said "yes". I get the truck and drive off. Hoping against hope they at least get my order right for a dolly. I get to my destination and THERE IS NO DOLLY IN THE BACK. once I return the truck I tell the lady there is no dolly... Still remaining very calm. "sorry about that I'll make a note of it." Needless to say I am very unhappy and will never return there. A little more than a "sorry about that" would have been nice. Anything really. I'm still waiting to see if my dolly refund actually goes through in my account as her system was down and couldn't do anything about it at the time.

The only reason id recommend this location is because of the selection. My vans horn didnt work and one of the side glass windows was taped up. It was also pretty dirty and reeked of weed smoke. I would have turned it down if i didnt have to have it for an emergency

I had to contact several different people to make the arrangements and when i was told they would call me back they did not. I had to call back. I was told the morning of that my rental would be ready after 11am. I arrived around 1pm and was told that I was late, and that my rental was scheduled for much earlier that morning. Additionally, they did not have the proper equipment for the a customer who came in before me so they gave him the truck I was supposed to rent. They bumped me up to the next option and declined to give me any discount even though they did not have the equipment that I reserved. The woman helping me was friendly and apologetic, but the man at the counter next to her was extremely rude. I will not rent from this location ever again.

I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. Moving is one of the most stressful things people do. Uhaul should be making that experience easier not harder. It was a headache from the minute I went to pick the truck up and it was not there.

Cab and cargo lights didn't work. Had problems loading and unloading after dark, slowed the move up tremendously because I worked during the day and had to load and unload at night. I had to use an alternative light source.
