This location was great however I only landed at this location after no one was at the first location to give me the keys to the cargo van I wanted. I wasted so much time trying to get a van/truck even though I had reserved one days in advance. I also wasted gas since I drove 40 miles to a place that didn't work out. U-Haul really needs to make sure that these external locations that have vans and trucks for rental are available when they're supposed to be available. That was terrible customer service and I was very upset about that situation. Even though my problem was resolved I had to talk to 4 different people to get this issue resolved.

My only complaint is I was charged for 2 gallon of fuel when I only drove 9 miles. Might seem petty, but I think the truck gets more than 4.5 miles per gallon.

As i arrived to the location it wasnt cleaned or sanitized abd it smelled like the other customers cologne. The gas was below the mark and i asked for a dolly and never received one. My reservation was about to be cancelled because they say they called but to the wrong number. Email was put in wrong and name. Very 😞.

The truck that I had reserved was not available. I was sent to another location after I arrived at the original location. I was not told that my reserved truck was not available. Then, when I got to the place, they did not have the truck available. I would not recommend U Haul.

Customer service is lacking actually sucks when it comes to the older man there. The customer service part, he is VERY knowledgeable and gets things done, so excellent worker thus far but the"bed side manner" is lacking. I guess the easiest way to explain it is you feel belittled or like an idiot speaking with him. If it wasn't me hearing him with the male customer before me I would have just chalked it up to me being a female. However this is my experience dealing with the Whitehall store. So I would give it a 50-60%.

You could start by honoring your 19.95 in town local so that it wouldn't cause me more money than what I had expected it's a scam to get people to get the vehicle and then when they go to check out they're paying so much more plus the gas

I waited 40 minutes to pick up the truck I had reserved. There was one customer service rep and he was outside servicing another customer for a long time. I had movers already at my house which I had to pay for the time they waited. On top of that the truck I had reserved for that location wasn't available so I had to pay more for a bigger truck. I'm so over using U-Haul. I will go with another service next time.

Don't advertise the low rate then charge 3 time that amount. Just advertise what the average cost of the rental could be. I choose the 15' truck for 29.95 with nothing added in and my bill was $65. I drove less then 25 miles and had the truck returned in half the allotted time.

Online check-in is a disaster. Spent an hour trying to download drivers license which never happened which means I was unable complete the online check-in. You need to do something about that because the counter person was not surprised when I told him.

Booking by phone did not work nor did returning and checking in by phone. Don't believe it's the local office, think it is a website issue. Shouldn't charge the extra $20 or don't advertise the after hours check in. Spent 1/2 hour to try to pick it up and 1/2 hour with 2 different phones to try to drop it off. Still had to go to counter to check in and was charged $20 to drop off after hours.

This is the first time I did not hav to wait 30 plus minutes to get waited on and previously I had reserved a van and they don't seem to act concerned about the number of people in line. The store is great and does many services other than renting. BUT, they need more counter help. When you need to to be on the road and you have to wait it becomes aggravating.

Just a comment. We arrived for a van pickup Sat at 9 AM. I was stunned to see a couple wearing no masks. Stunned because of the sign on the front door saying "No mask, no entry". How did they get inside? They were mid age, the guy had a very colorful Trump MAGA hat. They appeared to have no health restrictions. Just wondering if anyone asked them why no masks. No excuses for this. Why bother having a sign posted. If all businesses follow suit, we will never see the end of Covid. Shame on you!

I was upset that I reserved my rental at one location and had to pick up at another. I was compensated for the mileage but it was an inconvenience to take the additional time to pick up at a different second location.

I had a reservation for 9am 10/4. I realize the location did not open til 9 on Sundays, however because the computers were acting wonky the guy had to do things manually. My paper says I picked up at 9:10, that's not true. Then I get to the truck and the seat was all the way back, my feet couldnt reach the pedals and I couldnt move the seat up. Had to go back into the store, wait for them to finish with other customers. He went out to truck with me to move the seat up, it was extremely hard, saying it had just gotten reupholstered and you had to "rock the seat while pushing in the lever". By the time I pulled out of the lot it was 9:35. And I had to have it back by 1pm due to another customer having a reservation for 1pm. he gas gauge was supposed to be at 3/8ths of a tank, but it was actually on 1/4 tank. I didnt have the time to go back in to make them aware, as they told me I HAD to have the truck back by 1pm. Because I really only had less than 3.5hrs I could only make 1 trip from my house to my storage unit. Adding more stress to an already stressful situation. Reason for move? On 9/5 we had a basement fire and the whole house got extensive smoke damage , the 1st 2 weeks after the fire my landlord kept me from going into the house to go thru any of my possessions to see what was salvageable and what had to be pitched. Now all of a sudden my landlords wants everything out of the house like yesterday. I ended up having to make a reservation for today 10/5 to rent another truck to remove the rest of my stuff into my storage unit. Spending more money that I have aside to be able to get into another place to live (1st and last months rent plus security deposit). Had I been able to keep the truck til 1:30 (the total 4hrs my reservation was for) I would have had enuf time to take 1 and final load to my storage unit. Because of Covid, the actual uhaul dealers are the only ones with trucks, all the independent uhaul renters have ceased to rent any trucks at all. Meaning I was "forced" to use your uhaul location. I would not recommend this location. You know what they say, 1 unsatisfied customer leads to 10 people not wanting to utilize their services. I hope it doesnt take too long to get my refund of over $20, I originally told them I would be putting close to 50 miles on the truck, but because the truck had to be back by 1, my charge was abt $75. The man didnt mention me getting a $20 credit, and due to me rushing to get the truck back by 1, I didnt get to eat anything, making my blood sugar drop, I couldnt think properly and had the shakes, also it was 1:04, the man literally had me throw the keys to him, and said I was done and could leave, not giving me a chance to ask if and when money would be credited back to my bank card. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I received.

I strongly feel that Uhaul's recommendations for the size truck to move a one bedroom apartment is incorrect. You recommend a 15' truck for a 2 bedroom apartment. We needed to move a one bedroom apartment. We thought we would be safe renting a 15 ft truck. To our regret, 5 chairs needed to be taken apart in order to fit them in, plus we needed to put a medium size box, a large microwave and sections of chairs in the cabin in order to be able to bring everything. I believe you would safe a lot of people a lot of trouble if you adjusted your recommendation! You owe this to your clients, who look to you for guidance.

Check in process for storage took over 45 minutes.. after I had reserved via phone prior. The storage unit lock mechanism doesn't work properly, you have to stand on the doors pull down handle to get the slide to work. The unit had something very greasy stored prior that was never cleaned. We covered in an old blanket. The exterior of the storage is littered with current/previous tenants broken glass and misc litter.

*Door was too bent out of shape to put a lock on, couldnt give us a different unit so we rigged it up. *My unit I reserved was unavailable, had to get a smaller unit.
