Excellent service when I needed a car transport everyone was out of them, I drove over to this Whitehall PA location and asked if I could use the one they had there for about 2 hours, it was 9 am and I told them I would have it back before noon, they were a little hesitant because they had it already rented for later that day - 4pm - they said if I promise to have it back by then I can rent it, I had it back by 11am an hour before I said I would, he even said wow you wernt kidding only needed it for a few hours, Im very happy with this location Ive been renting here for years, I understand some people will rent trailers and not have them back in time, excellent service and very professional, and Uhaul made a couple extra bucks that day on a rental that would have otherwise just sat there until 4 pm thanks againDavid G.

I told myself i would never use Uhaul again after my last 2 experiences went so horribly wrong. But this time i needed a quick easy van to move a few large objects. I thought ok nothing could possibly go wrong ill only have it for maybe 3 hours and only travel 30 ish miles total. So i gave you another chance and i was very pleased that this time renting was smooth and easy and there were no issues whatsoever. I may consider using uhaul again if need be from this experience if i need another short small move. As far as long moves though... I am still extremely hesitant.Jared S.

We reserved a pickup truck for a 24-hour rental, to be picked up Sunday at noon. We got there at noon and saw no pickups on the lot. We were told that there should have been two trucks ready, but they were still waiting for both of them to be returned! We did errands and came back an hour and a half later and our truck was ready. Now we were behind on our project. THEN, in the afternoon, U-Haul had the nerve to call us and ask if we could return our truck EARLY!! We have rented pickup trucks from this location 4 times in the past 2 months. This is the SECOND time they didn't have a truck available for us for the pick-up time we had reserved! The first time, after a long wait, they gave us a free upgrade to a box truck. For this most recent project, we couldn't have used a box truck anyway, even if they had offered it.Walter V.

The store messed up and gave us the wrong reservation. They literally put our name on someone else's contract. When we looked at the contact after driving away we saw someone else's address, phone number, and email address. Then we realized the contact number was different than our confirmation. So we figured out what happened and called. We were told the manager would call us back. They never did. When we returned the van we were told they knew about the problem and that it was taken care of. We diffusely asked to make sure we wouldn't be double charged and they said not to worry about it. The contract we were given at the end again showed someone else's address and phone number, but different from the initial one. I honestly don't know how someone could mess that up. Anyway, three days later we got an invoice in email showing we were charged for the original reservation with the van having gone one mile. Obviously that was a mistake as we didn't drive it at all. I called the store and the person said I'd hand to talk to customer service to dispute the charge so she transferred my call. After 45 minutes on hold the customer service rep explained that the store had to handle this. He gave me a case number and said the store manager has 48 hours to contact me and fix the issue. I am not hopeful. This is incredibly frustrating. I absolutely will never use this location again and will strongly recommend others not to.Neil S.

we were unable to check in from my phone, as we had to go inside and wait in line to get a key. then they were unable to scan our reservation from the phone and had to start check-in all over. then they actually checked us in to someone else's rental. we noticed after driving away and when we called we were on hold 10 minutes before someone answered. they weren't able to help. when we returned they were aware of the issue. but the receipt we got had yet another customer's information on it. (ended up with our name and email, but someone else's address and phone number. different from the address, phone number, and email address on the initial contract we were given at check in.) the van was mostly fine, but there was some trash in it from a previous renter. overall, would not recommend.Neil S.

We picked up the truck in Bloomsburg and we were told by the gentleman who worked with is that the truck had 7/8 of a tank of gas and we were to rerun it with that amount . We did just that and within 1/2 hour we were charged $20.05 for not filling the gas completely !James C.

I had numerous problems trying to get a hold of the Uhaul location where my original order was and others in the area as well. Thankfully, one of the main office hitch operators went out of her way to help locate another store that could do my installation. Jeff Hehsl was very helpful, extermely knowledgeable, saved me time and money and was able to take care of my needs in better time than was expected. I don't fill these out often, but must say..this exceded my expections and a job well done. I am in the process of moving and this was a big help.Dick B.

I am extremely unhappy. I reserved a 26' foot truck the beginning of August and it was not available on the day I requested - 8/29. On top of that U-Haul sent me to 3 different locations on the day I was to have my rental and I traveled 150-200 miles to get one. Which then took half of my day from packing the truck and my help unable to do anything. This is not this locations fault it is the corporate company who is at fault. I paid over 3400.00 for a truck and carrier and expected better from U-Haul the adding miles for me to my contract. I would like some type of reimbursement. The folks at the location were great, but don't advertise $19.95/day for in-town rental, and blast a bunch of taxes and fees on it so two days works out tonbe over $100! Next time I need a van, I'll go to Enterprise. It worked out to be the same price and at least they tell you upfront how much it will really be. Again, the guys working at the local branch were great. I'm not criticizing them at all. I'm calling out the intentionally misleading pricing set by the company.James G.

There were problems throughout my entire experience. Even though I reserved the unit the afternoon before and I had purchased a disc lock and paid for it and set up an 11am appointment for the next morning, NOTHING was ready. My unit was not available, I didn't get my lock until after I moved my items into the storage unit, and then my key card did not work at all. I had an extremely negative experience, and on top of that while I waited at least 30-40min for me to get my unit it was raining outside and I made it very clear to the UHaul employee that my mattress was getting wait and how much longer this would take. I was ready to buy another piece of tarp to put over my mattress but when I asked how much it was he said he couldn't tell me unless he exited out of the screen he was on (which I was afraid if he did that the whole process of trying to get me assigned to a unit would start all over).
