I may withhold any recommendations pending resolution of below: when I started up my vehicle when picking it up it made a very loud muffler noise. The noise is loud enough to be obnoxious. Me regular mechanic will be looking at it on Monday to identify what damage may have been done during hitch installation. He did a full inspection of the vehicle the day before the hitch install so will have a good base to compare.
Robert COne guy told me his shift was over & left. I wanted them to be sure truck gas was full enough & for them to verify truck was in same condition I picked it up etc no one seemed to care.

FRANK LI was quoted a price. Then I arrived they went over my information. Which took about 45 minutes. The worker kept saying a different price. I've rented from your establishment for over 30 decades. They kept saying higher price. I said look at your own sign hanging. Showed the same price I was quoted. After that hold up there was now about 8 customers waiting. Due to the fact the computer was bringing up. Someone else's information. Then the over double the cost. Which I kept saying the amount quoted and again the sign that was clear on the price I was quoted. I used less then half the allowed miles. But was told it had a half tank of gas. Which it did not have a half but a quarter. But they said to bring it back with a half tank. I did so but it never ever had a half tank. I brought the truck back in Meer hour's with a Lil over a half tank. I was disappointed today dollars matter. People in line were upset. I was upset that I was paying people to move me. But could get past the computer issues. I had to pay those people that moved me by the hour. For 4 people again the entire transaction was ridiculous. Left feeling upset and more money due to the time it took to get the truck. I even got there early to be sure the truck was ready for the men to move me. It costed me an extra 80 dollars due to the men's time. 20 an hour for them to be at my home waiting on the truck. So 4 × 20 an hour well. To me is a weeks worth of food for myself and my 2 grandchildren. Again the truck was brought back with more gas because told it is to be at a half tank. Even though it was less then half to begin with. I returned the truck the same day. Because the guys due to their schedule. Didn't get all my thing's. So I'm not sure if will rent again. With all the extra out of pocket expenses. More gas then needed because told to put it at half tank. Paying the 4 guys for over an hour of time used up to the very long delay getting the computer and employee to hear what I was quoted. I was never told higher on the day I rented. Nor did your own sign in the building. I kept saying read your own sign. Let alone the time to reserve the rental with the quote. Please inform people if there is a difference. But people in line overhead and also said. The sign is clear on the cost of said rental. Normally I love to give reviews glowing. Sorry I was unable to do so. ROBERT CIt took a long while for someone to show up when we were dropping off the car carrier. The young man who finally showed up gave good help. However I got a call yesterday from them asking when I was going turn in the car carrier. So someone did not log in that it was returned.

KRISTINA HThis was a complete nightmare. First. The attendant out in the lot was too busy on the phone booking his vacation to help me find my rented equipment. Then I found the truck and it smelled like urine inside AND the milage didn't match what was on my paperwork. When I told him this his response was "go tell the guy".....is it not the attendants job to help me resolve these issues (keep in mind, he's still on the phone). So at this point I can feel the smoke getting ready to come out of my ears.....Then, I went inside to tell "the guy" and his response was "its only 1 mile'....I don't care...at $1.50/mile, this is a problem. It's already expensive to rent these trucks, let's not add anymore unnecessary fees.while I was inside talking to "the guy", I also asked about a bigger trailer because the one I was given was smaller than I expected but "the guy" clearly had no interest in assisting me with that so I let it go and made due with what I already was getting. Then. I go back outside and the attendant is STILL on the phone. So I proceed to back the truck up(that smelled like piss) to the trailer(it was already very clear that the attendant had no fuckin clue how to give hand signals to back a truck up....thank God for my prior experience and backup cameras)....the point I'm making here is that I will not be back to the Whitehall uhaul or any of uhauls other locations and anybody reading this shouldn't either. Rent a truck from somewhere else. So far, anyone I have talked to from uhaul was inexperienced, incompetent, and utterly unprofessional. Not to mention, rude....it is now over 12 hours since I returned the truck and I am still waiting for them to refund the unused milage, I'm sure I'm not getting that back. The entire experience was a negative one. The inside of the truck smelled like a diaper, despite their excessive detailing station....maybe they forgot to show the under qualified attendant how to install an air freshener. Perhaps he left his diaper under the seat. Who knows🤷🏼♂️.I tried the online live chat to try to resolve these issues with no luck. So I'll be calling the corporate office to ask for a refund. Again, if you're reading this, just do yourself a favor and rent a truck from Lowe's or home Depot. You'll save money and avoid a huge headache all together. Uhaul Is currently the only rental company I can think of that still charges by the mile, which proves the corporate greed and lack of customer appreciation behind it all, but I digress. This isn't how business should be done...I will never make the mistake of returning to u haul for a rental truck again. Lesson learned 🤷🏼♂️
BRAD MEveryone was very helpful. Pick up and drop off procedures were very simple. If I need U-Haul again, I will certainly return to this dealership.

Luis LBall hitch requiremwnts should be told to customer ahead of time. I had to purchase a smaller ball hitch, not just the ball, and no discounts where given, even after asking.
JOSEPH CMy only complaint is that the app let me make an appointment for 8:30 in the morning, but the tech that does the installation doesn’t start until 9:00. I would have made the appointment for 9:00 if the app would have let me know.

Jay YMy wife and I had a terrible experience with this company. At both the pickup and drop off locations the employees were rude and unhelpful. When I went to drop off the truck at the assigned location, there was no one there and the doors were locked even though it was during business hours. Additionally, the employee accused me of having less fuel in the truck than it had when I picked it up when I had a photo of the fuel gauge. The employee said “that doesn’t matter”. If you have the chance to use any other rental truck company, do it! Of all the frustrations that can arise while moving over 300 miles, this was by far the worst.

ELIZABETH BI originally rented from JJ's Auto Sales in Walnutport, Pa and wanted to pick up the truck there. He assured me the truck would be there and he'd be there for my rental. A day before my pick up I received an email saying that location won't work. JJ's auto sales in Walnutport, Pa should be removed as a rental facility of UHaul. His shop was closed while my truck I was promised sat in the lot. He lies, doesn't follow up, seems like the type of person who will do anything for a buck. I had to drive out of my way to the Whitehall location to get my truck. When I arrived there was another couple who had the same exact experience as myself. Ripped off and lied to by JJ's auto Sales! They had to go out of their way too! The Whitehall location is excellent - great store, great employees, trustworthy, and did a great job.
DAVID BThey charged me a towing fee because parking authority came and said my truck was abandoned for two days and towed my truck with all my belongings ( how can you abandon something you physically can see my stuff in the truck) and then uhaul made me pay that fee on top of the rental, never renting from them again and the management sucks for this too.

THOMAS GRun one smoothly, however the agent ask if I was using the Ford 250 that was on file to pull the trailer that was a red flag because I never owned a ford 250 someone rented from my account previously using my name so how someone was allowed to rent under my name please investigate thank you
MIGLED CThe sun visors were broken and would not remain flipped up, therefore blocked my view of the road. I had to completely take them off. The device you click the visor into place was missing. Hazard when driving. Both visors hung from the ceiling straight down, again, blocking the drivers view. Other than that the rental was easy and staff were great.

SHAHIEM APlease take a look at the latch for the trailer I rented. The door opened on the road thank goodness there was nothing in it at the time but we had to use a bungee cord on the way back.
TANYA GThe location is great. Your App on the other hand needs work. Reserving a rental is fine but picking it up via the app is a waste of time. Fix it and make it user friendly or get rid of it. I for one will never attempt to use it again!
James S#1- first truck jerked back and forth in the parking lot and had a check engine light on #2- given a new truck - it also had a check engine light, but was told to use it anyway #3- 12 miles later on the way home with an empty truck it started to alert me it was overheating - with the check engine light on, in 20 degree weather #4- in that same 20 degree weather, the driver side door has a huge gap and the heat doesn't work in the truck. #5- called to voice my concern, was told a 'note would be made'... As useless and un-personable as when I was picking up. #6- drop off- giant signs to stay in the truck, good thing I didn't because the only employee was sitting inside watching videos, I would have been sitting out there all day waiting. What a joke of an operation and cluster of 'employees'. Don't count on help, quality or anything reliable from this place.
WILLIAM K1. Employees were great but overwhelmed. Gotta have more than one person manning the counter on a Saturday morning. This is not a reflection on the person working. They were great. 2. Overall mechanical condition of the truck. While the truck did operate as expected, it was in serious need of a tune up. Idled very high and was very resistant to shifting gears. Engine would surge on downshift while braking jumping the truck forward. Gasket around driver side door did not seal properly. Lots of noise and cold air coming into cab.
David AKelvin was by himself with a room full of drop offs and people attempting to rent. He did an excellent job and communicated at the highest level. Not enough people in the building to service the volume. My truck kept saying the lights were not working, must have a short. Drop off, no one came out to disconnect my trailer as it was raining. Was not offered a receipt. I have used this facility in the past and it was much better than this experience. Thanks S

DOMINIC MI dropped off the truck I rented on Sunday, in the parking lot where it says to drop off vehicle a gentleman was there and told me everything was fine I can drop off the vehicle. On Tuesday U-Haul starts calling asking me when I will return the truck that I had already returned. IT took me calling the location and multiple phone calls for the to confirm that they indeed have the truck. I picked up the truck have filled and returned it fully filled. I was told I would not be reimbursed for this. Overall this was a scary awful experience.
Jenniffer DRaven helped me most recently, in renting a 15' truck and clearing a storage unit (#1746). What a beautiful person. Friendly, professional, efficient and so kind. It was a blessing because of her.

SCOTT DTerrible, truck at had had a transmission issue. If you put it in reverse it stalled out while putting it back in drive. Then have to set it back in park then had to keep going back and forth between park and drive until it actually started moving. App wasnt recognizing my id so i had to wait for store to open, then the store opened late, then had to wait for the computers and so forth. Some of the employees sat in car then went inside at 9. How can you open a store at the same time the employees arrive? then charged a new rental fee for being 22 minutes late. do i not get that time back for waiting?

I had a big Thule roof rack and I was able to put it directly on the floor without jamming it into a smaller room. It worked out well.

She was rude, intureupted into a transaction she had no business to say a word, she said "oh congratulations" a very stupid thing to say, when I asked where my 2nd lock was she again intrumpeted and says "we don't allow 2 locks" I was not aware of that fact...I wanted my $16.00 lock back, you could have asked me to remove it. She did not allow the man assisting me to do his job, she is rude and speaks loudly! She was the same person that emailed me a month or 2 back on the first of the month saying my payment was late and if I don't pay my unit will be forfeited. My was due on the 2nd of the month.. when I called she was unavailable.

Unfortunately the staff had lack of communication all around when it came to my vehicle being stored here . My vehicle was in an accident so I needed to store it. It was here for 2 years until you guys called me asking me to get a car cover for it because the front was off and to move my car over because it was slightly over the line when the tow truck pushed it in the spot . I went to put the cover on and a nice employee with you guys helped me and also said she didn’t know who called me to come in and do all that but the car was fine in the spot and didn’t need to be moved. Well after that you guys called me numerous times and one of the times I was sick with covid and you guys demanded me to come take my car out the lot because it wasn’t movable and you guys need the title which I don’t have because I still have a loan on my car. So I was told the policies changed which is ridiculous because I’m paying you guys. But the problem with that is I spoke to a guy on the phone and told him to put a note on my account the date I was available to pick up my car and that same week and he was fine with that. I got called 3 more times about my car that same week which is just crazy and annoying like you guys must not communicate at all because I had multiple different ppl call me . So the day I go to pick up my car my car cover I paid $70 for was missing I was told some blew off and someone claimed them and that my car never had one when I had one of your employees help me put it on . Of course the manager of storage couldn’t compensate me or do anything but say sorry ! You guys are just so unprofessional and full of excuses and I would never in my life come here again . Thank you for taking my money and giving me a headache !

You charged me an after-hours drop off fee of $20 when I had to do was drop the keys into a drop box so that you could process the return in the morning when it is convenient for you. Its not like you are paying anyone extra to be there for me. I have a big prob with this. Your taking advantage of a mutually beneficial option. This is the kind of thing that would keep me from using you again on principle. 2. My online account did not have my space included so I could not manage the termination through it. Minor issue compared to the prior.

I ended up leaving furniture outside storage to be picked up the next day as it did not fit in such a small unit. I should have received a bigger unit after renting the truck

Even though I reserved the unit the afternoon before and I had purchased a disc lock and paid for it and set up an 11am appointment for the next morning, NOTHING was ready. My unit was not available, I didn't get my lock until after I moved my items into the storage unit, and then my key card did not work at all. I had an extremely negative experience, and on top of that while I waited at least 30-40min for me to get my unit it was raining outside and I made it very clear to the UHaul employee that my mattress was getting wait and how much longer this would take. I was ready to buy another piece of tarp to put over my mattress but when I asked how much it was he said he couldn't tell me unless he exited out of the screen he was on (which I was afraid if he did that the whole process of trying to get me assigned to a unit would start all over). I will never rent a storage unit from this location ever again. Extremely poor service.
jenny m | First ImpressionsI had a wonderful experience overall! Bradley Moharter is the man, a cool dude! 😉 The only not so good thing is the temperature in the storage unit area. Its so hot and the amount of sweat, in just 15 minutes isn't healthy so I couldn't stay as long as I desired one Saturday, to go through and prepare items for movers. Otherwise, I really have no negative complaints, I had a good experience and my items were safe! Thanks U-Haul! 😊

Then I drove another 15 hours to Whitehall pa to find out there was no storage unit available that was supposed to be included in the payment. Lucky that the man in Pa was so helpful. The storage unit lock mechanism doesn't work properly, you have to stand on the doors pull down handle to get the slide to work. The unit had something very greasy stored prior that was never cleaned. We covered in an old blanket. The exterior of the storage is littered with current/previous tenants broken glass and misc litter.
