This has been the most disgusting experience of my life. I will never again do any business with uhaul and I feel I should be refunded all payments made. You kept my container after no less than two interactions where it was agreed the container would ship with the other one. You kept it there and have ruined FFR my move. We had a lot of issues with this service. First when they went to charge for shipping cost changed from $1870 to $2457. I call Jason at the Concord store because that is were I started from. He did manage to get that corrected. Then when we got to Port Orange the Sanford locations delivery truck was broken and they told us we could rent a truck to come get the pods in Sanford or unload pods into a truck there. But we would have to arrange all of that. After a few phone call to them about this mess not being our problem but there problem. Then they finally loaded the pods on to a trailer and delivered them to us on the trailer they were not able to take them off the trailer. Which meant that it took up all of are driveway for parking. This caused issues at trailer park with our vehicles. So overall the experience was not a pleasant one. But the person who dropped off and picked up the pods were very good just process was very bad. And was very successful for us. We had help to unload the pods they were returning back to NH on Wednesday that is why the pods had to be delivered for Tuesday.marylou P.
After driving away with our rental we made it 13 miles and realized the fuel tank was on empty after our documents said half a tank of gas. We thought something was wrong with the van. We called the location and was asked by the employee if we clicked a link before we left. This was the first time anyone mentioned that this was a step that needed to be done and the link went nowhere when we did attempt to click it. Clearly we assumed that the information that was given to us by the employees was correct in regards to if there was gas in the vehicle. No vehicle should have been rented with that low of a fuel tank. The response from the customer service was basically oh well.Mary S.

I have rented here in the past without issue. This last time I rented a truck for just a few hours, and only went about 15 miles. U-Haul is trying to charge my credit card over $4500.00 because of some mistake made in the system. On top of that, they are trying to add a Late Fee! I have made calls to the location, and was told it would be corrected and someone would call me back. Nobody ever calls back. Now I have been on hold for nearly 45 minute with customer service. I should not have to make multiple phone calls and spend hours on the phone trying to correct this! The only reason my credit card wasn't charged this bogus fee is because they recognized it as a SCAMChristopher and M.

In the past, I had always purchased the blankets which I believe U-Haul calls pads. I always purchase them for $5 for six and usually got two packs for $10 and got 12. These are items that I had purchased and kept after renting the vehicle. When I got to this location, I explained that's what I was looking for and never noticed that they were treated as rentals. This had never happened in the past to me and I was quite surprised when I got back and they were looking for me to return them. The gentleman who checked over the vehicle was actually very rude to me. I felt threatened and informed him that I could not defend myself from them ripping me off financially and wish to call the police. I don't know if U-Haul changed its policy or if in the past the transactions were treated differently but I believed I was buying the pads when I paid for them, I realize now that I reviewed the initial receipt that that is not what it said. It is however what I indicated to the sales associate when I was renting the vehicle. I indicated what I had done in the past and that I wanted to do it again and he said absolutely, it took them a few minutes to figure out how to do it but I was assured that I was getting what I asked for which was to purchase the pads. I definitely felt attacked and stood up for myself. After indicating that I intended to call the police to report being ripped off, the staff at this location was very disrespectful to me. As I said, I had bought pads numerous times from multiple locations. I was told it was the same as those times. They treated me as if I was an idiot. I told them that I felt threatened and that I could not defend myself because I used to be a professional fighter and could never engage in public with anybody. Once telling them I could not engage, the associate got real cocky and started getting back in my face. I simply wanted to know what I was going to be charged even though I did not agree with the charge because in my eyes I had purchased the items and not rented them. The manager got involved and also got in my face. I felt threatened by her as well. Again I cannot do anything and was ultimately charged a ridiculous amount for pads I had purchased in my eyes. I encourage you to review previous rentals in my name, I have never returned and always bought them. I'm wondering if I was "renting" all along thinking I was buying them. Either way, the staff was rude about it and at the rental time claimed I was doing as I always had, why wouldn't I keep items I purchased as I had purchased before. I was then charged more than the vehicle rental for items the associate told me I had bought. I would like a refund and an apology from the store manager and both associates involved.Jeffrey M.

Picked up rental around 2;30PM and returned it around 4:45PM, all while the store was open. I then got charged $20 for an â€œafter hoursâ€ return fee. I don't know how that happens when I have the rental for a little over 2 hours and your employee hooked up and removed it for me. While every location is professional and better than competitor companies, U-Haul Manchester Airport is by far the best of all U-Haul locations. When I first received the truck, the fuel was off - my slip showed fuel should be Full, but the truck was at 3/4 tank. I took a photo to show to the rep inside. He took my rental number and told me when I brought the truck back I could dispute it. When I returned the truck, I actually filled up to 7/8 tank, took a photo, and told the intake rep about the previous conversation and offered photos. He declined and said he would take care of it. When I printed my receipt later at home, I was charged for 4 gal of fuel. I was pretty peeved and called customer service and was reimbursed, but this makes me leery of renting again - my husband and I have rented various equipment from trailers and car haulers up to 26' trucks over the years from different Uhauls. I shouldn't have to go to those lengths to have a fair and valid rental experience. After speaking with customer service, I also noticed the mileage was slightly off - I was charged for 31 miles when my photos clearly show only 30 miles between them (both photos were taken in the rental parking lot, and I'm sure geotags would confirm that.) It was due to pickup mileage being 70168 when my photo shows 70169. It's a minor thing and not worth my calling again over a dollar, but combined with the fuel thing, one has to wonder how much this location earns thanks to "mistakes." The representatives were both extremely nice, but considering I had to correct both, I come away feeling like I'd visited a used car salesman.Jennifer D.

She cancelled my original reservation and made one at he store, all while matching what I had previously set up. It was fast, easy, and convenient. Thank you. My only complaint is that on 3 occasions in 3 months, there were no carts of either type available for use. On 2 of those, I left after waiting 20 - 30 minutes. On the 3rd, another renter (a pro mover) using several carts let me use a cart after seeing me wait for 40 minutes. Allow for pro-rated fees if someone closes their unit early to mid month. We were one day over our pay date and had to pay for a full month, while the units were then available for someone else to rent and U-Haul to potentially receive double payment while their customer is left feeling taken advantage of. While the individual facility was a good experience, Uhaul’s policies left us with a bad taste in our mouth on our way out, which we will share with others who use UHaul in order to help them save. The UHaul Manchester Airport in Bedford NH is a terrific storage facility. It is secure, well lit, and they have a great mix of indoor climate controlled and indoor or outdoor vehicle storage. Tara, the manager, is terrific. She is courteous, professional and efficient. Employee said there would be a lock inside of my storage unit and I would not need to purchase one. The unit did not in fact contain any lock. The retail portion of the uhaul was closed so I could not purchase a lock in their store. I had to leave to go buy one. I had rented a truck and got a the first month free storage. I had reserved a 10X10 storage room at the Nashua branch but when I got to the Nashua team stated that they no longer had a room. I ask them why the website stated that their was still one room available and they mention the website was incorrect. I was then forward to the Bedford site and the general manager (Malissa) was extremely help and we where able to find a room. I rate the Bedford site Excellent but for the Nashua branch I would rate as average. I accidentally left my unit “locked open“. It was noticed by staff, who put an additional lock on the unit to alert me the next time I went in. But my unit was completely unlocked all that time, and I didn’t realize it. No one called me. My phone number and email are on file. My alarm card was never set up properly. When I open my unit, the alarm with sound. I heard the alarm siren sounding many times while I was in the office and in the storage area, but it didn’t seem too illicit any response from anyone. The main door, which is supposed to be accessible with the security card, was completely unlocked when I moved in and when I visited yesterday. There’s not much use of a fancy security system if it’s not being used properly OR even gives the impression to customers that the facility is not secure.SHANE T. | Overall Experience
