I disputed a $5 extra charge because I did not pick up the moving blankets. I was still charged anyway. I got a message saying a supervisor would call me in a day or two after I disputed the charge - no call. I had to get on chat and kick things up myself. I was neither greeted nor apologized to be the service rep. I prompted those myself, as well. I feel I deserve way more than just my $5 back. What's worse is that I doubt anyone with uhaul reading this will give a friggin rip.

I did not like some of the policies. For example, the man who completed my checkout started that there isn't an option to pay upfront for refueling to be included in the rental price and the truck had to be returned to the original location or I would be accessed a $50 fee. I thought U-Haul offered those options and I was disappointed that I was wrong.

I had requested a one way truck from your site but was given one that had to be returned. In no way on your site did it let me know that prior to completing the order. Additionally, it was extremely difficult to get information or an estimate for a one way trip truck. Overall the process was excruciating long and difficult and it seemed difficult to impossible to get answers to our questions.

Dollies weren't available to rent. The parking lot is a nightmare. The truck I rented was not cleaned out. Dirt and soil all in the back but I am expected to return it swept out.

Van was beat up. Couldn’t open side door because it was damaged. Weatherstripping fell off when opening rear doors. Also reserved thru mobile device and was supposed to be able to check in thru device when arriving which wasn’t possible because there was no vehicle assigned to my reservation

Staff very friendly and polite. U-haul very clean. The only thing I did not like was that the cashier explained the gas tank was at half of tank and to bring it back at half of tank but at time of return I noticed paperwork stated the uhaul having more than a half of tank of gas, which was so untrue. Lesson learned always always check sheet to make sure everything matches, this is my advice to everyone. And Thank God the gas I replaced went past the half tank mark or I would have been paying more money

In addition to the truck, we also reserved a Dollie. We didn’t realize until we started moving our items at our place when we realize that we were not given a Dollie. I was charged an additional fee for the Dollie, so I would greatly appreciate it if I’m reimbursed for that.

The process was extremely frustrating. First, the app wouldn’t acknowledge my being on site. Then the app took a long time to verify my rental. Then it wouldn’t accept my debit card for payment, even though I used it for my reservation. I was on the Live Chat, 1-800 line, and FB messenger for more than an hour before I got help. I lost more than an hour of my move time because I was sitting in the truck waiting for service.

I dropped the trailer after hours. I did not realize that I had to go online and end the trip but I called the drop off location first thing the next morning and they said everything was fine. A week or so later I got a call from U-Haul about my reservation being still open? They did not seem to know if I had turned the trailer in. My reservation was for just one day. I called and they said that they had to check with the drop off location to see if the trailer was in fact turned in.

Hitch installation time was unexpectedly changed Difficult to get in touch with someone in-charge Asked me to drop the car at 8 AM - could have dropped it in the afternoon if no one was going to be working on it Car window damaged while at the location No word from manager or insurance company regarding liability I don't recommend this location at all. As a matter of fact, I needed to rent a trailer, but opted to go to the Mayfield location instead of this E 55th st. location.

Dropped off trailer 5:20 PM Sunday after hours but an employee was there and helped drop trailer. Followed his instructions for return. He said it would done Monday. Never happened until 5 days later. UHaul kept calling me asking me to return the unit but I already did. Very poor customer service and no direct line to that location.

U-Haul Moving & Storage at Mayfield Rd is one of the best I have used in my career. It is a very busy office but Mr. Rodney and staff do a great job to take care of every customer. The office is under going a great renovation to make it even better. This is the place to go for expert UHAUL services.

The first person I spoke to was a man. He was sighing at me, unfriendly, and seemed frustrated that I was even there. Very very rude. Told me my truck reservation was canceled when it was not, with no effort to fix the situation. Then a woman offered to help me and she completely fixed the situation and was very friendly and knowledgable. If she was not there I wouldn't have ranked it average. I wish I remembered her name so she could get credit for picking up his slack.

I was very disappointed in my recent U-Haul rental. I rented a U-Haul to move a dining room set and I will look elsewhere in the future. I was hardly greeted upon entering. Also, I am older and I think that they got me the worst vehicle on the lot. It had 122,000.00 miles and needed serious maintenance work. The battery went dead when I reached my destination and thankfully a man had jumper cables to get the truck going. The truck was very difficult to control and I never felt safe driving it. It was also dirty and the cup holder looked like someone spilled soda in it. The truck looked as bad on the inside as it drove. The men that were helping me said that I must have looked like an easy mark to the U-Haul folks and I had to agree with them. Very disappointed. Sad Face..

I was double charged and cannot get anyone to change the charge on my card. Given the now hour wait to rectify the issue I suspect systemic fraud in system. This is true of companies that try to push all electronic reservation/pickup. The charge to card was unauthorized.

You need to have more than one rep. I made an appt for 4:00, arrived at 5 and still did not leave with the truck until 6:00. There was only 2 people ahead of me and one of them was just about finished when I arrived the rep was trying to multitask at my expense.

This was the worst attempt at a rental I've ever had. Not only wad I lied to when making the reservation about getting a truck with the appropriate towing hitch at no additional charge the location was less then helpful in trying to resolve the issue. They wanted to charge me for the drawbar and adapter not provide hitch locks which in this set up was two of different sizes then turn around and charge me over $100 for either of the items if stolen. I canceled the reservation and was charged $40 on top of the mileage to and from my home. I should not have been charged for the $40 rental fee, the millage is what it is. This is not an acceptable business practice at all.

It took an hour to check out one trailer. The computers was malfunctioning. had to exchange contracts and everything which made us late, For our plans. She couldn't write out a contract because she had to call the manager who was off duty.she Was on the phone with traffic for about 30 minutes. Very unhappy with the performance. They tried to send us over to miles uhaul to pick up a trailer .then she tried to send it to Bedford to send a pick up another trailer. Which were both are out of the way of our plans.

I don’t appreciate the hold of $100 when coming into the store. I’ve used my current card multiple time with the 24/7 Truck share app and no deposit is required. In the future I will be expressly avoiding the counter and utilize the app. It’s quicker, more convenient and no deposit is required.

Your Chester location is easily the worst location of a Uhaul, or any location for any company selling any product, I have EVER been to. The manager's customer service was beyond poor (his name was Andre). He had no regard for the customers and was taking personal cell phone calls while helping customers. He completely botched my order and scheduled by truck ONE WEEK LATER than I needed it. This resulted me in driving around Cleveland for 5 hours trying to locate another truck. He is pathetic, and if you have any integrity or standards for your employees, should no longer be working for the company.

I tried twice to do the online check in. Once it kicked me out and the second time it took everything. I couldn't get to the location by 9am when my reservation was scheduled so after calling the facility twice and sitting on hold for over 20 minutes each time, I tried to change the pick up time online. It would let me change the time and when I got to the facility, it took her almost an hour to get me rebooked, checked in and for us to get our truck. I checked in and PAID for my reservation when I couldn't get the place on the phone. There is absolutely NO reason that they should have cancelled my reservation. AND there should be a "reinstate" option when you do show up to get your truck so they don't have to do everything again.

I went online and reserved a 10ft box truck for the move. I arrived at the location at 1:25 PM. When I walked up to the counter to get everything handled, I was told that there were no 10-foot trucks available. They told me something about the online system somehow overbooking them or something. That was not my problem. We are from out of town and had driven 90 minutes to that specific location to rent a truck because our daughter lived n Cleveland and was moving to Cleveland Heights. I then asked if they could just give us a bigger truck at the same price, and I was told no. I then asked if they had another location nearby that could get us a truck. I was told no. I then asked if they had a pickup truck that I could use. I really didn't want to use the pick up truck because it was going to rain yesterday. It was almost 10 minutes to 2 before we finally left with our pickup truck. Prior to leaving, I walked outside and took pictures of the entire pickup truck to make sure that I recorded any damage that was already on the truck. According to the contract that I received there had been no prior damage to that vehicle. However there were several places on the vehicle that had damage. So, I walked back inside to get some assistance to hopefully get those pictures loaded up to somewhere. I was told by one of your employees that wasn't necessary that all I had to do was hold on to the pictures. While I am standing there, one of your employees actually told another customer that came in that there was a 10-foot truck available for them to rent and that he would take her out to look at it. This all transpired within a couple of minutes between when we completed paying for the rental and when we walked in to take care of the pictures I uploaded. When we left at 10 minutes to 2, we started our move immediately. While I was waiting for my spouse to come get in the truck, I went online to U-Haul and saw that my reservation was not actually set for 5:30 that it was set for 5 PM. I had set it for 5:30. Then I called the location trying to talk to somebody about it and spent 15 minutes on hold with absolutely no one picking up. I was still actually on hold when we got back to the location. The same male employee that had told the female customer that he would take her out to look at a 10-foot truck they had available for rent in earlier, was the male employee that checked us in. He recorded our mileage, I had set the mileage for 30 miles and we only used 28. Then he said he had to run my card again. I told him that I had already paid for the rental. He said he still had to run it. So then when I looked at my Discover account, Uhaul had taken out the $55.39 twice. I want my $55.39 back immediately. I also want my reservation guarantee held up on. The entire point of us having a box truck was so that our daughter's belongings would not get wet during the move. It ended up raining yesterday afternoon. The people that worked here were great but the equipment was in terrible shape. We were driving from Cleveland to California and on the trip a tire blew on the trailer. It would not have been bad except that the tires were completely bald in the center and the person that came and changed them (both had to be done) told us that we should have never been allowed to rent this trailer in this condition

Online I reserved a truck share pickup, I came to the location to check out but was notified on the app that my 24/7 pickup was unavailable. I'm glad I still had a truck to use that day but I wish I would have been notified about pickup changes to my reservation.

Make sure all the check lights on the dash of the truck are off. The "hitch trailer light" was on and I did not know how to turn it off. The truck dragged when driving. Not a pleasant experience. Also, had an issue with the Moving helpers and now we are trying to get our money back. This link is available through your site but you can't resolve any issues.

My truck reeked of cigarette smoke. While my in-store experience was good, the smell made my entire round trip yesterday and today seem like an awful adventure moving in a used ashtray. It's unacceptable in 2019 that I was forced to endure this stink or give up the only vehicle available for my move.

There are a number of U-Haul locations closer to my residence; however, they do not come close to the overall quality of the Cleveland Hts. facility. Thank you for being there when I needed you.

I was told that a cargo van would hold a queen bed. Going off that information and what I saw online, the cargo van was enough for a studio apartment and a queen size bed. That was not accurate. The only way a queen sized bed would fit in the cargo van was if there was nothing else in the van. Unfortunately, the van was loaded and we couldn't fit the queen bed in it. So, I had to go back to UHaul to rent ANOTHER truck. The only one they had was a 15 foot truck. Now I have rented two trucks. Had the UHaul representative told me that the queen size bed would only fit in a cargo van if that was the only thing, I would have selected a larger truck. Thanks to that, I ended up having to rent two trucks for one reason. The people were nice but not informed enough to make to give me an educated response about what really would fit in a cargo van. Please re-train your employees at this location.

Picking up the truck and laying at the pick up was great. However I found it very frustrating to have to take pictures of the vehicle before returning the truck. What is someone didn’t have a phone or the internet? I think that part should be changed.

The truck was filthy inside and out. They stole my ez pass and didn’t even bother to return it. What kind of company do you operate. I will be in contact with your senior management to advise against the employees you hire! Your company is a joke.

Ensure that the UHaul is Clean and working properly before u rent it to another customer. My Uhaul had bad brakes, It Shakes terribly at the speed of 40mph empty! The Ramp wouldn't slide out due to CD , Glass, & a Bike handle that jammed the ramp half open...Spent an Hour plus in this delay. Not Happy

Car was improperly secured on auto dolly. So much so that drop off location took pictures and made report to corporate about condition of auto dolly and improper security of my car. My hook up was done by the manager of the pickup location.

The facility did not have lighting in the units, and there was a whole in the wall. The facility appears to have rodents because there were mouse traps in the building.
