I waited over an hour in the un-air-conditiobed office to rent a truck. The woman on duty was very pleasant, but she needed help! Only one person working and many customers. This made customer service POOR. Also, the new rules make it impossible to just show up for a truck...all reservation s must be made online. Crazy rule, but both she (your employee) and I did not know that. Also, when I did call online, I got disconnected. There's more...but basically, too much of a hassle renting a truck from you!

I originally booked a trailer through ACE in Willowick which is 10 minutes from my home. When I got there they had no trailer. They then said I had to go to this location which is 9 miles away, from A to B but a 25 minute drive each way. Joe was extremely helpful and was very quick. I returned the trailer on 7-6-19 at 12:00 pm and when I got there the employee told me I was all set and could leave. I asked him if I had to do any further paperwork and he stated that I did not have to do anything else that I was good to go. On 7-8-19 at 1:00 pm I received a call that I had not yet dropped the trailer off. I called back and told them it was returned within 16 hours of the rental. Maybe a slight miscommunication issue. Thanks thought the equipment worked fine.

I should never have been at this location. It was bait and switch on the part of the 55th street store. I rented a 17ft trailer on Saturday to be told i could only have it for two hours on Sunday. Total BS. I had to settle for a 10ft trailer. Three weeks prior to this my daughter experienced the same bs. Uhaul says it was the first of the month bs. It's how they operate

I've been into this location several times for moving supplies ahead of my move and then to rent a truck for my move. The staff was ready to go before my appointment/store opening at 7am, accomodated my last-minute request for a larger truck and we're friendly, courteous and efficient. As an added bonus, I was given a brand new 2019 truck with only 3,000 miles on it. I felt very safe and secure for my drive. Thank you!

Charging for every 8 hour period is terrible. Won't be doing business at this location again. Very unsatisfied with my bill, I've never seen a bill at that amount for a 1 day rental. Ridiculous!

The truck I received had some safety issues not noticed until I arrived at my first stop a couple hours later. The worst one being the square access panel in the middle of the truck bed floor was caved in and thus could not roll a dolly over it and tripped multiple times. Stubbing a toe, falling, etc. I'll survive but this issue should have been fixed before renting. Also, the drivers door did not close properly and made me feel unsafe!

Better signage marking the entrance to Equipment drop off area. In heavy traffic approaching the location in a large truck I just wanted to get out of traffic. Ended up in wrong lot and had to back out blind into heavy traffic to get to correct entrance.

The cab of the truck was dirty and the tank was 1/8 full. They said it was 1/4 of a tank. In addition, the dolly was not secured and i gad ro pull over to tie it. Furthermore, as soon as I got onto the interstate, the truck began to shake violently. I had to get a hotel room for I was traveling with my little girls file #1642805 with A+ Truck repair. IIt was serviced in the morning and it took over two hours. The transmission fluid was 2 quarts low and my front tire had a ball in it. The shaking was still occurring from the engine, however, it wasn't as violent. I had to drive over 4 hours clutching the steering wheel worried that it would break down in the rain at any moment. We barely made it to the storage unit in time. I returned both trucks the next day and to continue my nightmare, I was charged a late fee!!

When I arrived to do my pickup, the CSA was exceptionally competent. When I arrived later to pick up my tow dolly, the (different) CSA was the exact opposite - she could do nothing right. The chap that assisted me with connecting the tow dolly was entirely competent.

I disputed a $5 extra charge because I did not pick up the moving blankets. I was still charged anyway. I got a message saying a supervisor would call me in a day or two after I disputed the charge - no call. I had to get on chat and kick things up myself. I was neither greeted nor apologized to be the service rep. I prompted those myself, as well. I feel I deserve way more than just my $5 back. What's worse is that I doubt anyone with uhaul reading this will give a friggin rip.

I did not like some of the policies. For example, the man who completed my checkout started that there isn't an option to pay upfront for refueling to be included in the rental price and the truck had to be returned to the original location or I would be accessed a $50 fee. I thought U-Haul offered those options and I was disappointed that I was wrong.

I had requested a one way truck from your site but was given one that had to be returned. In no way on your site did it let me know that prior to completing the order. Additionally, it was extremely difficult to get information or an estimate for a one way trip truck. Overall the process was excruciating long and difficult and it seemed difficult to impossible to get answers to our questions.

Dollies weren't available to rent. The parking lot is a nightmare. The truck I rented was not cleaned out. Dirt and soil all in the back but I am expected to return it swept out.

Staff very friendly and polite. U-haul very clean. The only thing I did not like was that the cashier explained the gas tank was at half of tank and to bring it back at half of tank but at time of return I noticed paperwork stated the uhaul having more than a half of tank of gas, which was so untrue. Lesson learned always always check sheet to make sure everything matches, this is my advice to everyone. And Thank God the gas I replaced went past the half tank mark or I would have been paying more money

In addition to the truck, we also reserved a Dollie. We didn’t realize until we started moving our items at our place when we realize that we were not given a Dollie. I was charged an additional fee for the Dollie, so I would greatly appreciate it if I’m reimbursed for that.

The process was extremely frustrating. First, the app wouldn’t acknowledge my being on site. Then the app took a long time to verify my rental. Then it wouldn’t accept my debit card for payment, even though I used it for my reservation. I was on the Live Chat, 1-800 line, and FB messenger for more than an hour before I got help. I lost more than an hour of my move time because I was sitting in the truck waiting for service.

I dropped the trailer after hours. I did not realize that I had to go online and end the trip but I called the drop off location first thing the next morning and they said everything was fine. A week or so later I got a call from U-Haul about my reservation being still open? They did not seem to know if I had turned the trailer in. My reservation was for just one day. I called and they said that they had to check with the drop off location to see if the trailer was in fact turned in.

Dropped off trailer 5:20 PM Sunday after hours but an employee was there and helped drop trailer. Followed his instructions for return. He said it would done Monday. Never happened until 5 days later. UHaul kept calling me asking me to return the unit but I already did. Very poor customer service and no direct line to that location.

U-Haul Moving & Storage at Mayfield Rd is one of the best I have used in my career. It is a very busy office but Mr. Rodney and staff do a great job to take care of every customer. The office is under going a great renovation to make it even better. This is the place to go for expert UHAUL services.

The first person I spoke to was a man. He was sighing at me, unfriendly, and seemed frustrated that I was even there. Very very rude. Told me my truck reservation was canceled when it was not, with no effort to fix the situation. Then a woman offered to help me and she completely fixed the situation and was very friendly and knowledgable. If she was not there I wouldn't have ranked it average. I wish I remembered her name so she could get credit for picking up his slack.

I was very disappointed in my recent U-Haul rental. I rented a U-Haul to move a dining room set and I will look elsewhere in the future. I was hardly greeted upon entering. Also, I am older and I think that they got me the worst vehicle on the lot. It had 122,000.00 miles and needed serious maintenance work. The battery went dead when I reached my destination and thankfully a man had jumper cables to get the truck going. The truck was very difficult to control and I never felt safe driving it. It was also dirty and the cup holder looked like someone spilled soda in it. The truck looked as bad on the inside as it drove. The men that were helping me said that I must have looked like an easy mark to the U-Haul folks and I had to agree with them. Very disappointed. Sad Face..

I was double charged and cannot get anyone to change the charge on my card. Given the now hour wait to rectify the issue I suspect systemic fraud in system. This is true of companies that try to push all electronic reservation/pickup. The charge to card was unauthorized.

You need to have more than one rep. I made an appt for 4:00, arrived at 5 and still did not leave with the truck until 6:00. There was only 2 people ahead of me and one of them was just about finished when I arrived the rep was trying to multitask at my expense.

This was the worst attempt at a rental I've ever had. Not only wad I lied to when making the reservation about getting a truck with the appropriate towing hitch at no additional charge the location was less then helpful in trying to resolve the issue. They wanted to charge me for the drawbar and adapter not provide hitch locks which in this set up was two of different sizes then turn around and charge me over $100 for either of the items if stolen. I canceled the reservation and was charged $40 on top of the mileage to and from my home. I should not have been charged for the $40 rental fee, the millage is what it is. This is not an acceptable business practice at all.

It took an hour to check out one trailer. The computers was malfunctioning. had to exchange contracts and everything which made us late, For our plans. She couldn't write out a contract because she had to call the manager who was off duty.she Was on the phone with traffic for about 30 minutes. Very unhappy with the performance. They tried to send us over to miles uhaul to pick up a trailer .then she tried to send it to Bedford to send a pick up another trailer. Which were both are out of the way of our plans.

I don’t appreciate the hold of $100 when coming into the store. I’ve used my current card multiple time with the 24/7 Truck share app and no deposit is required. In the future I will be expressly avoiding the counter and utilize the app. It’s quicker, more convenient and no deposit is required.

Your Chester location is easily the worst location of a Uhaul, or any location for any company selling any product, I have EVER been to. The manager's customer service was beyond poor (his name was Andre). He had no regard for the customers and was taking personal cell phone calls while helping customers. He completely botched my order and scheduled by truck ONE WEEK LATER than I needed it. This resulted me in driving around Cleveland for 5 hours trying to locate another truck. He is pathetic, and if you have any integrity or standards for your employees, should no longer be working for the company.
