I rarely, if ever, fill out "how are we doing" forms, mostly because I am busy and things were fine and no need to fill anything out. However, my experience with UHAUL was A+ and I really wanted to compliment the crew on Mayfield Road in Cleveland Hgts. Nice and friendly over the phone, extremely helpful answering my questions and finding me the best rate possible. I called Penske rental and not only were there rates much higher, they did not seem friendly or helpful. So I am glad I chose UHAUL. When I picked up the van, it was busy and they worked very hard to get me taken care of as soon as possible. Positive attitudes and they reminded me several times of the things I was eligible for. Overall, fantastic experience and if I need to choose a truck rental company or for other needs, I will definitely choose UHAUL. Thank you, Bil Gau

Put a sign on the other side of the building from the main entrance that directs the customer to the other side of the building where you can actually get in. Had I been the only one looking to get in the building I wouldn't say anything but I wasn't alone trying to get in.

My husband actually drove the 26’ truck we rented. He said it took an unexpectedly long distance to come to a complete stop and he really had to stomp on the brakes to accomplish the stop.

A 4 hour limit was to much pressure to load, drive to next place and unload, then return the truck. It should be a longer time limit. What ever happened to all day ?

All the people working there were very nice but extremely young and inexperienced; they did not hook up the harness so I did not have brake lights for my move, and they did not take their clipboard for the contract etc....but they were very nice people

Below average because agent was cutting, bad tempered, rude, and spoke way too fast and failed to explain that van had a damaged door on side and that they were aware of it and that stickers on that door was to show it was previously filed within their system. I have rented there for Last 3 years and I had never been treated so rudely, even my son who accompanied me highlited the fact that the agent was very rude and cutting. Other then that, their equipment is always reliable. But going back will be difficult as I do not want to be treated without kindness and respect.

The gas gauge had been misread: it had 1/8 of a tank, not 3/8. Also, the air conditioning didn't work, and it was a very hot day. Finally, the inside of the windshield was film and covered with a grimy film, which make it difficult to see well while driving. Everyone individually was kind and tried to be helpful, though. That does matter.

The young man at the desk was more interested in watching the football game on his phone than accurately checking out the rental. The first rental had hot air blowing instead of air conditioning and I refused to take it. The football fan screwed up the invoice on the replacement and I had to waste my time the next week getting it corrected.

I did my reservation online then went to the store and waited 15 minutes for the rep to finish with the customer in front of me. Make it so I can complete the transaction myself without waiting.

(1) I had checked-in before going to the location in order to save time at pick-up. When I arrived at the location, the computers were freezing, the wait was long, and the agent had to input the information I had I putted the prior day to save time. (2) The contract had the truck mileage recorded at 800 miles less than the actual mileage. I noted the difference, a staff person in the lot conformed, I went back into the office and the agent assured me she noted the difference in the computer. Yet, I have now been charged for these 800 miles and have to dispute this, which is taking time and very frustrating. (3) The truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas when I rented it, and because it's impossible to note how many gallons will fill 1/4 tank in an unfamiliar vehicle, we returned the truck with 1/2 tank, so we incurred an additional cost. The tank should be full when you rent a vehicle! (4) I had noted a preferred drop-off that was one block from where we unloading the truck, yet it was not listed as a choice when I picked up the truck. The agent at pick-up told me I could call uhaul when I got to Cambridge and get permission to drop-off the truck at my preferred drop-off location. Per her instructions, I called uhaul when I got to Cambridge. But the operator told me I could not drop off the truck at my preferred drop-off - it would have had to have been arranged at pick-up. I find it frustrating that uhaul agents were giving me different information. Because I relied on the information given by the agent at pick-up, I had to drive an additional 30 minutes to drop-off the uhaul and pay a $45 taxi ride back to where we unloaded the truck, which was one block from my preferred drop-off location.
