This is the 2nd 16ft trailer that a friend and I have rented. Both trailers were missing a D-hook tie downs and what was there for D-hooks is not very strong. We had to remove and relocate the D-hook in the trailer to properly haul what we were transporting. I did let the guy know when we dropped it off and I really think that as far as it went. Trailer was filthy dirty and if there was damage on it before we picked it up or dropped it off nobody would know. This location helped me out big time as the Inkster location booked an open trailer for me and I requested an enclosed 16 foot. Location was helpful and staff was good.Garry R.

Moving is a stressful circumstance at the best of times. Being tasked to move yourself within a one day window and in the midst of this COVID crisis had me dreading every step as the one that would derail my plans. Fortunately my day kicked off with Ms. Becky, GM of the McPhillips location. I don't know how many rentals she handles in a day or in a month or in a year... but she made me feel as though I was her first and only customer. Too often we allow the poor attitudes of others to undermine our own reality, but I experienced the exact opposite on this occasion. Becky's attitude changed my day and everything went better than expected as a result. I rented a truck for a reasonable rate. I was very grateful to find a storage unit so close to home, it was one of the last one's left. The manager was excellent to deal with, she went above and beyond to meet needs and staff were friendly. The only thing that I was concerned with was when I moved out the lights in the storage facility were out, and it was hard to see in my storage locker, also when I went in to sign papers for my move out the facility was left unattended and staff were all outside with customers waiting inside for service. I don't think the store should have been left unattended as someone could have stolen something and customers were wondering where staff were, it was very unprofessional on their part. Book the truck for 24 hours first. then get a call from the location ask if I do need 24 hours. Thought maybe finish early, I agreed to book until 5:30pm. Rent a 6x12 trailer and when arrived the equipment wasn't available for pickup at Regent location, they send me to McPhillips. It wasn't a failure of the location but from uhal that couldn't release the trailer for rent. Lost precious hours in my long trip of more than 2000km. I will never count with U-Haul reability anymore. Had to postpone my trip one day and rebook my hotels. Lots of calls and time $$ wastedFlavio C.

Ensure that the item I've reserved and paid in advance to have at a determined time will actually be there when I need it! Being told 3 hours in advance of my anticipated trans-provincial move that the trailer is no longer available added significant stress and potential hardship. When a customer makes a reservation for a pick up and drop off at a specific location and uhaul decides they should pick up and drop off across the city it makes you wonder what a reservation means to uhaul.chris K.
Not sure. Sometimes when reserving a trailer it's not clear if the unit will be available on that day which is not good as people make arrangements in particular for that day and are relying on getting the unit. This happened to us one time. We made a reservation then the evening before we were to pick up we got a phone call from the company to say that the trailer was not available and so were sent to another location to pick up a smaller size one to the one we had reserved as that was all that was available at the time. This affected the arrangements that we had made and we then had to work around that inconvenience.Paul M.
If I could rate this as 0 stars I definitely would. We put our sectional up for sale as the storage fees are ridiculous. The buyer could not pick up the sectional up until 4 days into a new month I told there was no refund for the remaining days of the month that we weren't using the unit. Therefore, they can rent out that unit and make almost double on it in 1 month. There was no light in that unit plus the ceiling looked like it was starting to fall in guess that's why there no light in it. I will never rent a storage unit from uhaul again and I will also not refer anyone to use uhaul. A quick tour of the operating features by the hosting company. I drove around for an hour before I finally figured out where the button was to turn the towing feature off on the transmission. Only to realize that there was a sticker on the dash telling me exactly what to do. Fill the gas tank, for god's sake. We know that it's easier for you if you don't and you'll always get "extra" gas out of the client. But it's that little thing that pisses people off until one day, they are no longer your client.Lucas K.
The lot was a little crowded with u-haul vehicles, as I tried to pull away with my truck and trailer after emptying my locker, I had to get out and physically move a small u-haul utility trailer from blocking my exit.
