my only complain is that I misread the fuel level looking at the Battery level just above and thought it matched but in reality I later noticed after completing the on like assessment that the fuel charge was a bit lower just between the 1/4 and the next level - I tried to call right away being just down the street and could not get a live person. My fault for not reading it correctly but I should not have been charged the extra $18 having it filled correctly - I just could not get alive person having called twice.Peter C.

Quote the rental appropriately. I booked this one way reservation over the phone. I was quoted $221. I asked the woman(who was so friendly, and amazing), if this included Insurance, and Km, and she said yes. When I went to pick up the truck, To my surprise, it cost 272.00 at the place, and I found out there was limited km, and we would have to pay extra. I'll never rent from you again, Trust and Honestly is the first most important Policy. I had to get it done, but next time I'm moving, or any one of my colleagues or friends I'll be finding another truck company.Arija J.

My experience with UHaul was a nightmare. One hour before picking up the moving van, I was called to say no truck was available even though I booked one month ahead. I called 2 weeks before to make certain I had a reservation; I visited in person and talk to the clerk asking for a larger truck. She reassured me that one would be available. I received a call from Lucy, the Ontario Manager, that I could get a truck from the Milton depot which is much further away from home (35 km). Since the truck was smaller, I could not fit all the furniture into the truck. I will have to make a second journey to move furniture. This is terrible service and I am surprised UHaul is still in business considering their poor logistics. Please give me a phone call at 905-220-0035 to discuss further. Thank you. Paul AgroPaul A.

Manager was rude, curt, shrugged her shoulders, displayed absolutely poor customer service and almost appeared pleased that we were going to have issues renting this van, even though we had filled out the rental agreement online and had been approved. It was in very poor taste that she embarrassed and humiliated us in front of other staff and customers. She made no effort to offer any other solution to help resolve our issue. Customer service was the WORST. They offered me free rental and 30 kms over the phone. Then they called me back less than 12 hours later (yes it was 7am on a SATURDAY! They said they are taking it the credit back. When i asked why, I was told im being rude and got YELLED at by the supervisor after being consistent. I hung up and called back and INSISTED that they listen to the phone call I had with the previous "supervisor". I was SHOCKED that a person like a supervisor can treat a customer like that. I was on a tight budget and only drove 13 miles so i needed to rent from you guys but VERY VERY disappointed and the SERVICE i received via the phone. The people at Lawson location didnt do anything wrong. Just because you have the best deal of all rental companies, DOES NOT give you permission to treat the customer like that. I would never recommend uhaul to anyone. I went in 2 days prior to get a quote on a truck. Was given number and returned only 2 days later to book. They wouldn’t accept the original quote. And charged me an extra $1500 for the same trip. I asked them why. All they could say was prices change. $1500 is a bit extreme of a price change. So now instead of just driving to my location and dropping the truck off. I have to drive an extra 2 hours. To get the truck to its drop off point. This is bull crap. Made arrangements back in April for both a 20” truck and a 10” foot aware storage unit ti discover no 10” foot square was put aside fir me , had to go to Milton location with a major delayment with 6 people that I paid for to use 3 extra hours in move. The facility is clean and has an area for recycling furniture which is great for the environment. The only thing I would have to say is that the price to space ratio is a little high. I am very disappointed with the over all experience, Staff is very professional and helpful but over all booking or computer system is very poor. I wasted 2 hours on May 24th to add an additional storage space, I was told to find an empty unit anywhere so staff could assin to me, I found a unit with help of your staff, and it was done in correctly. Units assigned to me by your staff with my locks and 2 units were locked by your system by non payment. Great, roomy, clean storage spaces (I had rented two different sizes during the year, both exactly as described) I appreciated the two separate loading docks, both indoors, which made moving things on rainy / snowy / cold days super easy and comfortable. Staff understood my needs due to a small disability and put me as close to the front doors as possible. SO much better than the current storage facility I'm at. Because of our need to relocate both our home & business, we have experienced a number of storage companies; Public Storage, U-Haul, Apple/Access & SmartStop. The last 3 had indoor climate controlled units. Apple/Access were just not clean. U-Haul was far better, but did not have the size required (10x30) when we need to rent. SmartStop was the best. Your bay doors are the best. The lights really aid to the safety and provide excellent information regarding when to enter or leave. The facilities at Lawson & those of SmartStop are superior because they were built for that specific need. Apple/Access have adapted warehouses to meet their needs; which in my opinion, just did not work as well as yours. My experience at This particular location was disgraceful. I have booked a size 20 truck 2 weeks prior only to get there on the day and was offered a size 10 truck. Naturally I was angry but what got me really upset was the guy at the front desk. He could not even apologize, instead he told me to go call 1800 Uhaul and register my displeasure with them or not take the size 10 at all. I was shocked at his response, he was very rude. Another lady came out and appears to be the manager, she said she didn't like my tone and decided to cancel the size 10 truck too anyway. She said she Uhaul does not rent to my type anyway. I was left with no truck that day and my whole day was ruined. I am a black man, and I genuinely believe I had my first direct racial abuse that day. Otherwise, what does she mean by "Uhaul does not rent to my type anyway". It was disgraceful. If my size 20 truck wasn't available, I understand these things happens and I expect the customer service person to apologize, atleast show a bit of empathy. I did an online rental(without going to the physical store) and the unit allotted was pretty much in the other corner of the entry point/elevator. I do notice that most units this size are empty as I walk to my unit. And the unit was not locked with a tag that could be broken as per the email. Rather it was locked. So I had to go all the way back to loading area, drive to the front office and then do it all over again. The unit and facility is pretty clean and the next visits were smooth. One issue we have had to do with the service elevator. The door closes way too fast, and the floor of the elevator, when stopped at a floor, rarely lines up with the floor of the level. This results in (1) difficulty in even getting into the elevator, and (2) a challenge getting the dollies/carts up and over the lip of the elevator. Also, the carts would be better if they had brakes on them, so as to not roll away when loading or unloading. Finally, the loading dock does not line up with the back hatch of the trucks (we were using one of your trucks), resulting in either a hazard getting in and out of the truck, or having to leave the truck well away from the dock, in order to have to fully extend the ramp. The storage facility was lovely and wonderful, however I would never rent a moving truck from them, ever. I reserved a 20 foot truck five weeks prior to my move, and was told 40 hours prior to the move, that there was only a 17 foot available, and I was not allowed to get a trailer (apparently they are not to leave the GTA.) Nothing like finding out two days before your move you will not be able to fit all of your personal effects. Storage unit was great.( after calling the destination Uhaul drop off - who could not understand why I wasn’t given what I’d booked- they called the Milton location and then a 20 footer showed up just in time.
