The online check out did not work. When attempting to sign in, I received an error and was unable to check out the vehicle. The error was not due to wrong sign in credentials but was internal. I was able to work directly with a representative in person.

The vehicle had a check-engine light on, so there was a question as to its reliability. The overall condition of the vehicle was marginal in terms of tires, shocks and it just felt driving it that it was on its last days. After having requested and reserved the vehicle on-line, I still had to go through the entire process again at the dealer. The dealer also had the wrong time of return even after going over this with the on-line person at time of reservation and the at the dealer. Very time consuming and inefficient. Finally, the fuel gauge measurement was not correct between the vehicle and the contract which led to issues when dropping off the vehicle.

I wish they told me i need to make sure i return it to the place they choose for me and put in my contract. and if i go by mistake to another place i will be charge $50. because i have being told there is no charge when you return and just go to Uhal in Sunnyvale (i'm new in Sunnyvale so i didn't think there is more then one dhal there)

This Uhaul location is average for my extensive experience with the organization. (11 moves in last 10 years using Uhaul trucks/trailers for all but one move, relatively frequent use of Uhaul car haulers and trailers beyond this) I have come to expect multiple visits to the same store or to be sent to another location even with a rental being booked in advance. I have also come to expect substantial wait times at any location. If I can get in and out in less than 30 minutes I consider myself lucky. On this occasion I purchased a hitch through Uhaul for self installation. The purchase of this hitch took 4 phone calls and 2 visits to the store. In hindsight I should have just purchased the hitch online. That said, the staff at this location tends to be more friendly than most. I have yet to visit a Uhaul location where the staff doesn't seem harried and frantic. While I understand and appreciate that Uhaul clients tend to be more stressed due to the nature of the business, you would think that more steps would be taken to make the process is expeditious and frictionless as possible. Some improvements have been made so far as check in/ check out with an online system. Despite this I still see great need for improvement.

The online account login is poorly designed. I'm annoyed that the person they're made us go thru our phone system instead of just providing a service. Constantly didn't call the provided requested phone number when asked and didn't follow up on correct email either.

The customer service representative was very rude (Richard Snyder). I was supposed to get a 26 foot truck and 5 minutes before I pick up I get told that there one 26 foot truck has a dead battery. Instead of providing me one that was close to the same size, they gave me a 10 foot truck which made it so I had to do five trips to and from. This added up to over 300 miles and 100 dollars in gas. The total was $376 for the rental and instead of being flexible because they messed up, I was told it was my fault for signing for the truck and that I put the miles on so I had to pay. I finally got talk to a GM (Grady) and he charged me what it would cost to drive a 26 foot truck to and from once and I paid $186. Mr. Snyder's behavior reflected poorly on U haul and he should be let go at your earliest convenience.

I rented just an appliance dolly. I watched the agent enter my info and charge my credit card. She must have gone through 50-60 windows on her computer. What a labor intensive process. She already had my info, as I'm a return renter, but she had to enter my info again. I was a software programmer and analyst... U-Haul could be a lot more efficient if the program was more like Amazon's "one click" purchase when a customer is already in your system.

Nothing, the individuals that was working there when we rented the van were out standing. They answered all our questions, prior to us renting the van. I when I had trouble with your program they assisted me with the process. I will now only rent from this location which is double miles from my home. But that how great there service were.

I reserved a truck at another location. I was called twenty minutes prior to pickup and told my truck would be at another location. The truck size reserved was unavailable at the new location and there was a wait to get a smaller truck. I used online check-in, the truck identified was there. Unfortunately "it was not my truck" and I received a call from the store to comeback to the location. I finished my business and returned the truck. was charged for insurance not requested and have no idea what happened.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They assured me that my truck would be there and it was. It was in great condition and worked great. Thank you. My main complaint with U-haul has been that the phones aren't answered very promptly or at all. This location was much better than some of the others.

Did all the pre registration online for a "quick, problem free rental" . Got there and none of it mattered + needed a 2nd person's contact # AND they had to call and talk to someone at that # before I could leave with a small trailer. Hard to get hold of anyone on the phone last minute. Caused an unnecessary delay. Put this requirement on the website to avoid problems and delays. Never had this happen before. This is a management problem; not employee problem. Other than that delay, employees were friendly, competent and helpful.

The staff was friendly & helpful. The check-in process was frustrating & redundant. I could not make a reservation by phone, I was told I had to do it on-line where I uploaded photos of my drivers license. On the day of pick-up, I had to repeat that same process all over again.

It took almost 30 minutes to gat approved using the app. I had no idea what was going on during that wait. Either speed up the process ot let customers know what is going on.

I like this location and the employees do a good job. However, your new online equipment check out system is not efficient at all. I had to wait for 30 min to get approved because of all the required steps, especially the contact info. Had I known about these steps earlier, I would have prepared, called friends in advance, and even brought my passport. You really need to introduce these steps to renters so they are prepared and ready. I was also not given the dolly I checked out which I forgot about. So I had to drive back 15 minutes later to pick it up. Then, there were no instructions about dropping it during after hours, so I had to call and research, which also cost me another 20 min. You should try making this process more efficient and convenient as it's serving the opposite end.

Ensure fuel is full and accurately reflected on the contract as well as have renters verify fuel levels before signing any contract for rentals. The issue was resolved but only after 2 hours on the phone with customer service. Things happen and I am glad they resolved all issues.

Truck was filthy on outside and had 1/8 tank of gas. Morning Attendant offered me a $15 discount because the tank was so low. I was told to return the truck with 1/4 tank, which I did. Evening attendant knew nothing about the gas discount, which wasn't ultimately applied. Avoid this location as they have poor business practices.The truck was so dirty you couldn't observe any damages, and they didn't review the truck with me in the morning but gave me the third degree when I returned it. So, who wants to start their rental with a trip to the gas station? Not me!

The price for a 5x10 is very overpriced! UHaul needs to take the price gouging profits and give Dallas a well deserved pay raise. Dallas had to do more than needed do too your incompetent people at the Phoenix call center.

I was sent out by a 3rd party UHaul with a tire that had a nail in it. Though the trip was uneventful, it is clear that not all facilities are held to the same accountability.

I had to knock off one star because of the lack of elevator at the facility. I was provided a 2nd floor unit but was not told that I needed to carry everything up a flight of stairs. If offered the option I would have taken a first floor unit. With that said everyone at this location was extremely friendly and helpful. For that I would recommend this location but I would make sure they requested a first floor unit.

The lady st the desk was rude when I got there to checkin to get my unit and then after return the trailer. The lady preceded to tell us that the person outside would help but there wasn't anyone outside that's why we'd went inside. Then we waited for over 20 minutes to hart our unit and tube person that finally helped us was very friendly and told me that the girl inside cant do the trailer returns but we told her we were there to check in for our unit and return the trailer.
