AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
MARY PChamblee was excellent. But U-Haul’s general customer service was not - when I contacted them about rescheduling my moving they said all I needed to do was reschedule it myself online through the Moving Help website but they didn’t say that I also needed to call to make sure my boxes were transferred to the correct facility on the new date. So when moving help arrived, my boxes weren’t there. Moving help did a great job of sorting it out, and again, the Chamblee folks were amazing, but other than that I was not impressed with my UHaul experience.
Sheena HTry to full the cars because always l left more tan a quarter in gasoline and it's not refund that money. It to hard to know how much gasoline I need to put to return the car with the same amount of gasoline
ANDRES MYoung lady with the braids cleaning the vans was very rude and unprofessional. I asked a simple question about how to get out with the tow and she huffed with an attitude. Inside female staff and gentleman that helped hook up the tow was wonderful.

ANTHONY AThe gas tank was 5/8 full when I picked it up. I checked it before I left. The receipt reported the tank at 15/16 full, so I was charge $25 to refill the gas. (I refilled the gas back up to above 5/8 before I returned it.) The people who gave me the truck did not confirm the gas level, apparently.

Thomas DMy booking was super easy. Made a change online with no issue. The guys at this location are pros. I arrived a few minutes later than my 7AM scheduled pick and they were concerned something might have happened to me. My truck was ready by the door. They must do great maintenance. For 140K miles on the 15' truck I drove, it was a little shaky ay 65 MPH, but overall it was exactly what we needed. I recommend this location and will rent from them again!

CHARLES TWe arrived to pick up the truck and were told that the dolly would be a different type, and that there were no furniture pads at this location so we would need to visit another U-Haul location to get them. Staff were unwilling to call/reach out to other locations to identify a location where we could get clean, packaged furniture pads. One staff member was able to find some used furniture pads in the back of the store which we accepted, however, this is not what we paid for. We were told that the materials are "first come, first serve" despite making a reservation, and no alternatives were offered beyond visiting a different location. This was extremely stressful on top of moving and the location did not seem prepared to provide the services and products that are expected when a reservation is made since the reservation is attached to that location.

Lawrence KI like this location and the Clairmont one for convenience, but the customer service makes it really happen. Both inside and outside crews were spot on at NE Expwy. At Clairmont, they helped me this weekend also. My brother was moving. I especially liked the new truck at NE Expwy. But they're all good. Really clean and easy to use. Thanks very much.
Kenneth GI am dissatisfied with how many times I called customer service to find a drop off location and they didnt know certain info (if a store did after hours drop offs). I also drove my Uhaul to the store on my paperwork & they turned me away!!! I was extremely frustrated with having to drive extra time/miles out of my way due to an error made by customer service.

John J | Overall ExperienceClean the interior of the trucks. There was empty bottles and chip bags left inside. Also, there was some sort of spilled substance on the dashboard that needs to be cleaned.
Michael R6x12 Trailer - bad tire - tread came off on I-20 less than 100 miles from pickup. Had to wait more than an hour for service. U-Haul should inspect & replace tires as needed before renting their equipment.

We booked and picked up our truck then realized we didn't need a box truck. They were patient with us, understood and swapped it out with no problem. 10/10 service.

Gillian HVehicle was clean. Employees were pleasant and helpful. However, there were two issues with the vehicle. First, it had been previously damages, and the damage made the rear door very difficult to open. No one told me about this when I picked up the truck. (Had I not had my adult son with me, I probably never would have been able to figure out how to open the door.) Second, the tire pressure gauge sensor was malfunctioning, so five minutes after leaving with the truck, I had to turn around and go back to the location, where I was told everything was fine and to avoid the warning message. The cost me additional time and added about five miles, thus minimally increasing my expenses.

I believe Darnell even waited past his normal work hours to be sure he was on-site to help me through the transition before passing to his team.
Jennifer W | First Impressions2511 is the storage unit we rented. The slide latch had been previously cut where the padlock shackle would go over, and restraighted. It was not replaced and it should have. I did not notice this previously. But did noticed it two weeks before we decided to vacate the unit. The damaged slide latch also made it difficult to open and close the roll up door. This was frustrating. Lastly, when I initially signed for the unit, the manager had made a card key for me. But did not hand it nor included it in the paperwork I had received. There was a lot going on that day because we were moving out of our apartment. What was also frustrating was that he (Darell SP?) told me that I could not enter or use my storage unit until a 24 hour background check was completed. WTF?! I have rented storage unit from your company throughout my military career and have never heard of this BS! Please correct this.

I know it is annoying when customers come right before close, but they showed no signs of rushing me or being upset. I do wish the facility was open a little later on a Friday night, though. I think 9 or 10 is more reasonable.

People who have money may judge this but honestly there are some out here that struggle to pay high bills with a limited income and there are some that make decisions based on their current situation that businesses like storage companies take advantage of the $ not the customers which make it hard to keep up in most cases.. smh.. I really tried but I pray for not only myself that those that find themselves in situations like mine, see a bigger picture that u lose sometimes but the reward later can turn out to be 10fold..

George H | Overall ExperienceStaff was very disrespectful idk who these new guys are, Nick and the other guy above Nick at the Uhual on 2951 NE Expressway chamblee ga but the customer service was trash. I’ve had a small unit at that location for a couple years now & wanted to upgrade to a bigger one so I reserved it online a week or so prior for June 11 & went on June 11 afternoon to obtain it. Nick prematurely moved me out of my current unit before we solidified the bigger unit. The price for the larger unit I reserved was a higher price and I even showed them the screenshot. The guy above Nick refused to honor that price I reserved it for therefore I no longer wanted it. I told him I’ll stay in my current unit since y’all aren’t honoring the price & he said since I’d been moved out in the system he didn’t have access to move me back in & I’d have to call customer service on Monday to get my unit back. I’d asked for something in writing or some type of confirmation so I’m not out here with no unit come Monday with ALL my stuff in it looking crazy. He refused and decided he wasn’t dealing with me, dismissed me & was very nasty, saying his manager would have to do it & he’s off so oh well. After the 2nd time of asking him to call his manager & not ignore me he finally called & the manager walked them through how to move me back in through the system. Something so simple to rectify but instead they decided to ignore me and treat me like nothing. But I will not be ignored; especially regarding something I’m paying for monthly. And this is nothing against the manager bc I believe I met him and his customer service was above average in our dealings. But those two guys working that day…very disrespectful & very dismissive, especially the superior guy.

The turn over rate at this place is ridiculous and no one wants to spend their money where the service is horrible and the employees don’t fully understand or can not fully communicate the standard rates and fees well enough to successfully secure a storage unit for a customer where it’s not a big confusion when that employee is absent and some else is assisting the customer. It seems to me that no one is trained properly at the place. This was by far my worst experience ever at uhaul. That says a lot.

The manager is also always onsite and assisting his team during any complications.
