I didn't realize the office hours differed from the storage hours, so I arrived with my trailer shortly before closing, after a 9 hour drive cross country. However, they let me park my trailer and rent a unit and were super helpful before they closed. Then, when I couldn't de-attach my trailer, one of their employees stayed late to help me unhook my trailer and make sure it was secure. As I unloaded my trailer/storage unit over the next five days everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The trolleys and elevators made moving things a breeze. I highly recommend them!!!

a thorough examination of all rental vans needs to be completed before renting the vans out to customers. My headlights did not work, which was a safety issue because I was driving at night time and the tire pressure sensor was faulty. Based off of my experience, I can say that the truck was not properly maintained and should have not been rented. The customer service at this location was exceptional however, inspections needs to be more thorough.

Make sure your vehicle up to date. Could not change the drop off location due to ridiculous policy. Had to drove the shaky vibrating vehicle over 300 miles away. Called road side assistance waited 2 hours to get fixed but nothing happened. Drivers side looking mirror folding down while driving. My experience renting the trailer from U-Haul was terrible, starting out as my mistake however. I reserved the trailer at the Pleasant Hill location only to realize once I was there that my reservation was for the next day, upon scheduling I was originally planning for Sunday then moved the date to Saturday but did not update the reservation? The clerk was most helpful finding another trailer at the Jimmy Carter location. I get there and wait, also not realizing it was a college return/go to campus weekend, not the best timing to rent anything that weekend. Finally get to speak with the clerk, confirm the reservation, back the truck up to hook it up, the attendant proceeds to hitch up the trailer. I step out and see that one of the tires is flat. She was unable to fix/repair the flat so she looked in the system to find another location, Chamblee, that had the similar trailer available. Once there it did not take long, service was impeccable and I was hitched up and on my way.

Customer service at pick up were very nice. The passenger sun block visor was broken, fell off and was not usable so we left it at desk before leaving. I was told to return gas at 3/8 full, which we did. Then we were charged $18 for not returning at appropriate level (and they charged 4 more gallons) when it looked like 3/8 to us and them closing so no opportunity to review/understand together. Felt like purposeful price gouging. Take caution.

Well, the customer service overall was fantastic. The woman who made my appointment on the phone (Jacqueline) was very knowledgeable and helpful. The gentleman who helped me return the truck was very friendly. HOWEVER, the truck that they gave us was from the 80’s. It was very old. Or at least, it sounded very old. The acceleration was terrible and it made a funny noise when turning the wheels. The alignment was off and it got terrible gas mileage- this resulting in more cost to us. I know that it’s cost effective to not retire vehicles in the their fleet if they run, but it’s not reassuring to drive a vehicle with all your stuff in it, knowing that it might break down along the way. It was hot that day, and the thought of standing on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck scared the living daylights out of us. Just not a good feeling to an preset stressful moving day. Something to consider for U-Haul is updating their older units once they reach a certain age.

The right side lock , that holds the door/gate, did not lock.
Had this issue on the last trailer i rented. Would be nice for it to be fixed so that that there is a 2nd lock to the door/gate incase one fails.

No post trip or pre trip inspections had been done by the location on my trailer in connection with its prior rental, and for my rental, the license plate light was out and the two tires were only at 40 psi. The attendant aired up the tires as I asked, and I replaced the license plate bulb myself when I later discovered it that first evening. The in-person rental process itself was fine. I asked for a newer trailer, and the manager selected one for me. I had the unit for several lengthy round trips, and during that time I noticed several U Haul pieces of equipment both powered as well as trailers disabled along the Interstate. Owing I’ll bet to the lack of attention overall by U Haul to inspecting and prepping equipment properly by the rental locations.

This was a perfectly cromulent experience with U-Haul. The truck was functional and mostly clean and ready when I got there. The paperowkr said the truck had a quarter tank of gas left when I rented it, but it was in fact right on E for empty. Thankfully, there wa a gas station about 1000 feet away. Return went fine and everything was hassle free.

Would have an excellent rating had I got to use my coupon or promotional code that I thought I was getting being his eye rented and used all U-Haul U-Haul truck U-Haul storage U-Haul equipment but because paperwork was not filled out correctly by U-Haul distributor. No discount, which is kind of faulty that it does not let you know that so you can make sure of that before you move forward with your plans. I think that's pretty crappy, but like I said in the beginning, once you're already there to store your things and you have workers to put them up and so forth you're not going to leave to go try to find another storage facility. Darnell and Rashad were super comforting and helpful in my transition from a Ubox to a storage unit. I was going through a family emergency at the time and they were very empathic and understanding. I appreciated their patience and grace.
I believe Darnell even waited past his normal work hours to be sure he was on-site to help me through the transition before passing to his team.

2511 is the storage unit we rented. The slide latch had been previously cut where the padlock shackle would go over, and restraighted. It was not replaced and it should have. I did not notice this previously. But did noticed it two weeks before we decided to vacate the unit. The damaged slide latch also made it difficult to open and close the roll up door. This was frustrating.
Lastly, when I initially signed for the unit, the manager had made a card key for me. But did not hand it nor included it in the paperwork I had received. There was a lot going on that day because we were moving out of our apartment. What was also frustrating was that he (Darell SP?) told me that I could not enter or use my storage unit until a 24 hour background check was completed. WTF?! I have rented storage unit from your company throughout my military career and have never heard of this BS!

I wish you guys could work with customers more when they go into default and need time to pay.. nothing against the fact that this is a business.. just lost very personal items that meant a lot to myself and family bc I couldn't afford to keep up with the payments.. People who have money may judge this but honestly there are some out here that struggle to pay high bills with a limited income and there are some that make decisions based on their current situation that businesses like storage companies take advantage of the $ not the customers which make it hard to keep up in most cases.. smh.. I really tried but I pray for not only myself that those that find themselves in situations like mine, see a bigger picture that u lose sometimes but the reward later can turn out to be 10fold..

Staff was very disrespectful idk who these new guys are, Nick and the other guy above Nick at the Uhual on 2951 NE Expressway chamblee ga but the customer service was trash. I’ve had a small unit at that location for a couple years now & wanted to upgrade to a bigger one so I reserved it online a week or so prior for June 11 & went on June 11 afternoon to obtain it. Nick prematurely moved me out of my current unit before we solidified the bigger unit. The price for the larger unit I reserved was a higher price and I even showed them the screenshot. The guy above Nick refused to honor that price I reserved it for therefore I no longer wanted it. I told him I’ll stay in my current unit since y’all aren’t honoring the price & he said since I’d been moved out in the system he didn’t have access to move me back in & I’d have to call customer service on Monday to get my unit back. I’d asked for something in writing or some type of confirmation so I’m not out here with no unit come Monday with ALL my stuff in it looking crazy. He refused and decided he wasn’t dealing with me, dismissed me & was very nasty, saying his manager would have to do it & he’s off so oh well. After the 2nd time of asking him to call his manager & not ignore me he finally called & the manager walked them through how to move me back in through the system. Something so simple to rectify but instead they decided to ignore me and treat me like nothing. But I will not be ignored; especially regarding something I’m paying for monthly. And this is nothing against the manager bc I believe I met him and his customer service was above average in our dealings. But those two guys working that day…very disrespectful & very dismissive, especially the superior guy.

I was extremely overdue for my return due to my complexes inability to have my unit ready as planned and they worked with me without any hassle on my return. A+++ I’m only giving 4 stars because one of the staff members completely ignored my presence.

The Manger of this facility needs customer service training. The turn over rate at this place is ridiculous and no one wants to spend their money where the service is horrible and the employees don’t fully understand or can not fully communicate the standard rates and fees well enough to successfully secure a storage unit for a customer where it’s not a big confusion when that employee is absent and some else is assisting the customer. It seems to me that no one is trained properly at the place. This was by far my worst experience ever at uhaul. That says a lot.

This has been the most consistently convenient and supportive staff that I’ve experienced in the Atlanta area for the past 10 years. The manager is also always onsite and assisting his team during any complications. The entire staff has a can and will do attitude and that’s very comforting and necessary when someone is trying to deal with the complications of relocating. This will always be my go to location!

I have a major problem with your policy of renting a storage unit. Your people asked me for 2 addresses and 3 phone numbers. I am a single man. I have 1 cell phone. I had to give a phone number of a friend and sister. There is no reason for you to involve ANYONE, for any communication purpose, involving my storage unit. You contact me and me only and don't ask for ANYTHING else. I don't want anyone involved in my life, issues, or storage unit. I have a mailing address and a physical address. You don't need both. Nobody gets both. Why do you need it? Had I known that you were going to ask for all this info, I would have taken my business elsewhere. You need to change this policy or at least give a logic reason as to why you need this.

The lady that attended to me on the day of my lease was extremely rude to me. She had a very nasty attitude that made me so uncomfortable. I’m not begging for a storage unit! You’re not doing me a favor!!! It’s a business transaction and it is paid for so learn to treat people with respect. I will never return to this location. Everything seems so hard there.
