Signing up for the storage unit was easy and the staff that helped on the day I first arrived was helpful. I was moving out of town, so I didn't stop back by until ready to move my things out 3 months later. When I arrived back in town and stopped by on 12/3, it was 58 degrees inside the temperature controlled area I rented. There was a sign that said it should be below 65, but I was in a hurry and forgot to call the desk to inform them. When I arrived on 12/4, it was 47 degrees inside and I called to ask that the heat be turned on. I was told that someone "might get to it today," which was an unprofessional, and frankly unacceptable answer, but I had movers arriving so we got started. The movers started unloading my unit and bringing items to the Uhaul truck I rented, parked outside building C. They started with bringing small items (couple of light boxes, my desk chair, some outdoor folding chairs, etc). On the way down the elevator, one of the long light bulbs fell from the ceiling without being hit with anything (we didn't have anything tall enough to hit it loaded in the elevator yet), and hit one of the movers on the head. It shattered, leaving glass all over the elevator. I called the front desk to inform them of the incident and the person at the desk literally said "what would you like me to do?" in a harsh tone. I asked if someone could clean up the glass and asked if an incident report needed to be completed on their end. She said she'd send someone to clean up the glass, and never acknowledged an incident report or asked if the gentleman that was hit by the bulb was ok. She asked what we hit the light with, and I shared that we hadn't moved any large items and it wasn't hit, and that she was welcome to come see what we had moved so far (and I took pictures). Minutes later, two people arrived at the building. Neither of them ever acknowledged any of us, myself or the movers. No hello, how are you, nothing. I complimented one of them on their shoes and she said thank you then walked away. The customer service this day was incredibly disappointing and I definitely would not recommend someone use this location given the chance they may have to interact with rude staff.Kellianne M. | Overall Experience

I'm BIG on customer service. I stood there for 20mins and no one even acknowledged my presence. No hello, No we'll be right with you, No welcome to Uhaul. 1 lady was to busy eating FLAMING HOT DORITOS, 1 guy on his phone & 1 guy was helping a lady, 3 employees and nobody said NOTHING. I left and went to another Uhaul location but they didn't have what I needed. I went back and Kiara was AMAZING. Multitasking taking care of 2ppl at 1 time with professionalism. We moved to another place bc key cards stopped working allllllll the time. Then you’d have to wait in line for 15-45 minutes when it didn’t work. There is NOT enough people working, they don’t acknowledge when you enter 80% of time although most recent manager (African American woman) was great and helpful... but still couldn’t fix the key issues and give us back lost time and frustration. Terrible customer service. Seriously, the worst person to talk to on the phone during the conversation on 11/09/2020. Extremely unprofessional, stupid, and non-sense person. I believe that he is one of the managers. If you want to know about this in detail, please reach out to me again. Just a horrifying experience. Your 2885 Clairmont location was absolutely horrible. I had a reservation for 6:30 pm Saturday evening and my vehicle was out front and ready but the woman working told me she gave me vehicle away to the couple who had just came in. There is either human error or a system error (most likely both) because why would the system allow her to double book a vehicle unless she was lying to me?? Either way, I reserved a vehicle for Saturday evening, had my card charged (fortunately I was reimbursed), and was meant to be entirely moved out of my apartment, which I was unable to complete because of either system/human error and/or terrible customer service. I hate to complain but that's literally what your company exists for, products and servicesALEXA C.

I ordered 4 dozen blanketa and a hand truck. We received none. The truck was dirty. The inside had chocolate ice cream inside. We were not credited for the missing hand truck. When I took over the vehicle, I realized that the gas level was at 5/8 instead of 7/8 as mentionned prior to taking over the vehicle. I didn't report it as I was in a hurry but should have done though. I filled the van with 2 gallons of gas after driving 14 miles but still got a gas charge from U-Haul, which I feel is not correct.Robert B.

I was charged for refilling the tank even though I returned it with MORE gas in it than I received it with. I received it with less than a quarter tank, returned it with half, then was charged almost $50 to fill the tank completely. I am never using u-haul againhannah F.
I originally had a reservation at the location at 3947 Peachtree Road, but the vehicle I reserved had a flat tire. I was assured I had a vehicle saved for me at the piedmont location, only to arrive and find out I have 2h45 of rental since it was double booked. This is not the first time an incident like this has happened to me with U-Haul. I will not be returning my business here or any U-Haul location.William B.

The U-Haul employee helping me was not friendly and wasn't wearing a mask. The U-Haul I was assigned was the 4th truck back in a line and it was tight in front and behind the truck. I went in to ask if someone could get the truck out for me, the employee rolled her eyes and said she would come move it shortly. I also told her that I had paid for a dozen furniture pads, but there weren't any in the truck. She said they didn't have any - but it wasn't taken off of my bill. It took her 4-5 times of backing into the truck behind mine in order for her to get the truck out. I would NEVER recommend this U-Haul location to anyone.Jacqueline B.

There's not enough space for trucks, they are crammed in a line. Staff is slow and I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come in the office to return the truck. The truck's engines sounded like it was going to blow up and did not feel safe driving. I've driven uhauls before and this truck was not in good condition.Zachary K.

He also poured a beer on our car. NO HELP from UHaul, as a small framed girl was at the counter. She should not be put in this type of danger, along with customers. If I rent a truck, furniture dolly, and furniture pad for a few hours, then two things are obvious: I'm on a tight schedule, and I'm moving furniture. You let me rent that stuff online and confirm my reservation, but then when I get there you nonchalantly tell me you don't have the dolly, thus screwing me on my tight schedule. You have a million rules that you expect people to follow and honor, but you can't even honor such a small but important side of your bargain.Parker L.

Air conditioning the facility did not work for my climate controlled 5x5 storage unit in which I was going to store precious artwork. My first visit to my unit I found a backpack full of sexual toys and items and drugs as I was going to put a lock on my locker. I was refunded with no questions asked by one month of storage fees which I appreciated.
