The people at both locations were helpful and nice. However, we received the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas and were told to return it with that amount which is difficult to estimate. We ended up returning it with more gas than needed which is increased cost for us. The fair practice is to give us the truck full and for us to return it full. We have rented many trucks over the years and have never had it handled this way before - Just one more way for U-Haul to increase the cost to their customers - seems like a dishonest business practice to us.

The truck had horrible alignment, the wheel was actually sideways to drive straight. And it's way over priced! $40 for the tuck cool but you charge way too much for the use per mile. I paid in total with gas $250. So $50 gas, $40 for the truck $160 in miles!! That is just insane and money raping of people! I didn't even drive far

The customer service guy was awesome, but the fucking trailer leaked all over my shit. It rained all the way down to Kentucky and everything was wet.

The guy forgot to give us the blankets. We thought of it 5 minutes after leaving. With Grand rapids traffic at rush hour it took us 45 minutes to get back to pick up the blankets. We had been traveling for two days and where tired so I spaced the blankets.

Had reservation, called & confirmed it. When I arrived I was told my reservation was canceled & no vehicles were available & UHAL's $50 guarantee IS BULLSH!T. Employee acted like she entered info into computer (she did NOT). And I Never Recieved My $50 Guarantee. 3815 28th st g.r mich.

The Plainfield Avenue U-Haul and general manager Crystal exceeded all my expectations. The only thing I believe could be improved is a very clear statement on the final receipt that the equipment was returned and no further action is required. We left the trailer at the location after hours so nobody was there to check it in.

My all-around experience at the Plainfield store was as follows: the two employees on duty near the end of the day on 8/29/26 delivered premium customer service. Their excellent customer service provided for a pleasurable and efficient experience. Thank you to both of them! The truck performed as expected which I appreciate a lot.

Why do you have to return the pickup to the same location this is very deceptive and almost doubled my cost you really need to change this policy

The truck had some small trash in the cab under the seats and I had to wash the inside and outside of the windshield to be able to see out at dusk and nighttime and had difficulty adjusting the mirrors properly, but other than that it was a great truck

The person in the morning was very nice and efficient. She was able to get 3 of checked out within a couple of minutes. The afternoon people were not as pleasant, and one ignored me walking the door behind him, but the return was ok.

This location is the best in the Grand Rapids area: very helpful and friendly, equipment is ready to go and the staff get you set up and on your way as efficiently as possible. Highly recommend!

Every time I went to my storage unit there was always , I mean always , trucks and trailers parked all the eay right up to our door so if after hours I was unable to get into my unit . Those same trucks and trailers were always there against our unit door . I would then end up waiting 20 minutes or so for them to move those out of my way.. would never return .

The Uhaul rep knew me as I walked in the door… even though I haven’t been there for 6 months Was friendly Great customer service Was flexible … changed a 1 day reservation to a 2 day as I wasn’t sure how long the trailer would be needed, then back to 1 day when I returned it after only one day…. No fuss. Thanks
