They gave me a truck that had 1/2 tank & said it had more than that & when I confronted him on that, he said he changed it so it would be half when I got to Billings, but it was not & they gave me the credit by God's grace so able not to pay fine in Billings.

Took a very long time to get the trailer. About 25 minutes and had reserved the night before at the location. When dropped off there was 2 people ahead of me and 2 people behind me and only one person there. That person did his best to get to people. Drop off was around 6 PM. Also had to purchase a 4 way electrical adapter since my vehicle had a 7 way which added to price. I was picking up furniture and delivery would of been $49 for them to deliver and I though I would only spend 30 for a trailer but adding the adapter I had to purchase and not rent total cost was about $45. Should of had the furniture place deliver for $4 more and they would of carried it into the house for me.

This location is way under staff as well as call center. I called 4 days in a row only to wait 20+ minutes each time before giving up and hanging up. I finally booked online uncertain I rented correct vehicle due to questions I had that I could get answered because NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!

I live on the Southwest side of town Wyoming and because of the Excellent service I had my Hitch installed there and rented the Trailer there also when needed I wouldn't go to any other U Haul.



Tell someone that vehicle was reserved til later in the day unless it really is reserved.

I dated the location average. I understand that every reason I give has a answer. I also feel that there is more room for improvement. This location is very clean and the help was great. I feel that having some seating for those days when there is a long wait would be great. Also a pick a number ticket so customers aren't lined up in front of the door to keep it clear for others coming in and out. Also maybe a bottle water cooler. Not for free but maybe a dollar per bottle. The drinking fountain is on the other side of the room and while there are cups I heard a few people comment about going to get a drink and losing the place in line. Just a few suggestions. If you plan on moving near the end or the beginning of the month reserve early. Hope this helps.

The employees we interacted with at the Plainfield, MI location were fine and helpful. I had to call the Plainfield, MI location about a question and their phone number sent me to U-haul's customer service center, which always is slow. I spent almost 15 minutes on hold, though the agent was courteous and helpful once I got through. I wish there was a way to contact the local store directly.

Reserved a 26ft truck a week in advanced, ended up with a 20ft unit which required me to make two trips on a good note they did give me a discount on the smaller truck. Dan at the service desk was very accommodating.

Staff seemed to not have stations, rather they did everything. So on initial inquiry of rental, there were 2 people waiting on a person to show behind the counter for over 15 minutes.

No one acknowledges you when you walk in there. One person was helping another customer and then walked outside with the customer, without so much as glancing at me. A polite, ‘I’ll be back in to help you’ or ‘someone will be with you’ would have been much nicer than standing alone in a big room wondering if the employee was coming back. Otherwise I thought the customer service was friendly. Everything went well, it was just a bad first impression.

I was told here the pick-up location isn't suppose to hook up the safety chains on the transporter to my truck. They did.

My only comment is on the actual truck itself. The driver door has a serious air leak at the top that about makes you deaf after driving very long from the air noise right at your left ear.

We did have one issue where reserved a pick up at the Ball Avenue location for 7am on 5/13/18 and we then received an email that the reservation location had changed to Plainfield Avenue for the same time. We called to confirm which is what the email advised us to do, we were told that everything was all set for that time and we showed up at 7am to get our vehicle and the location did not open until 9am. Needless to say that this was very disappointing as this put us 2 hours behind our scheduled of moving our family member. It would have been nice to know that the location opened later instead of having to rush after it was found out. We never did received a definitive answer why our reservation was moved since there were vehicles that were on the lot at the Ball location. The employee at the Plainfield location was great while helping us though. Just disappointed in the entire experience though.

I am a returning customer, my information is in the U_Haul system. I am very upset about being on hold for over 30-minutes at multiple locations. After waiting multiple times, the U-Haul staff member asked me way to many questions, I advised U-Haul member that, "I was in the data base". It did not seem that the U-Haul member could not figure out I was a returning customer. I have rented from U-Haul approx six times in the last 12 months. With all this hassle, makes me want to buy my own tow dolly and upgrade my trailer. On a previous occasion , I was not put through a hassle.
