I asked where I should leave the truck on the lot when I returned it. The associate said something that I could not hear so I asked again only to get a annoyed look and repeating the answer loud. Not good.

When we arrived none of the vans or trucks had been returned from the previous day. The men on site were not helpful. I received excellent customer service from letisha (hope I spelled right). She came in and immediately address my concerns and the two other gentleman with me. She corrected the issue and we were able to rent the uhaul.

Not charge them seemingly 30-35 dollars or whatever it was for being 11 minutes late on a return because the gas indicator wouldn’t cooperate even after putting in 5-6 gallons after driving 15 miles. And, if you do, make the receipts legible so I’m not just guessing that it’s 30 dollars making my total $105 vs a new $105 on top of the prior 70-75 dollars, and also make it clear that it’s a late charge vs whatever other nonsense

One employee for a room filled with waiting customers and phones ringing is not pleasant, especially after a 9 hour ride. The employee required me to back the trailer twice due to the unorganized state of the holding area then disconnected the trailer letting it slide into another parked trailer 25' away. All this happened while on the phone with his "baby momma", employees wearing and using AirPods to make personal calls while helping customers is not awesome. PS, gangster rap playing in the background is also not a way to create a welcoming environment for customers.

The brake pad vibrated when I braked, the tail pipe was rusty, the gasoline tank was a bit grimy. The service was a bit lacking although most of the employees looked like they were trying to do a good job. But one person next to me took a while to service, requiring a second employee to help them check in. When I came back there was only one employee working the desk and she was offsite for a good twenty minutes.

Have a trailer with a working jack that won’t fail on me. Don’t charge my credit card twice.

I rented a 9x5 trailer last weekend. I got a couple of blocks from the facility when I had to slow down for a car ahead of me that was turning. At that moment I heard a loud thud and felt a rather siginificant impact coming from the rear of my vehicle. I was already going slow and quickly came to a stop in the road. With flashers on I went to the back of my vehicle and saw that the trailer was no longer on the hitch, but, thankfully, it was still chained to my hitch. Upon further inspection I saw that my rear bumper cover was damaged and the bottom edge of the tailgate to our 2017 Toyota Highlander was dented by the impact of the trailer hitch hitting it. The trailer was clearly not properly secured to the hitch on my vehicle prior to leaving the U-Haul facility. I have a photo to back this up. I was only 2 blocks from the U-Haul facility and immediately returned to it after properly fastening the trailer to the hitch. The manager, Sharon, apologized for this issue and stated that my rental for the day will be at no charge (I got charged) and that U-Haul would pay for the damages to my vehicle. She stated that I would need to provide an estimate for the repairs and that U-Haul would somehow pay for the repair. I'd like more details on how this is to occur. My storage was sold without an email or phone call prior I tried paying my rent and the option was unavailable when I called in the auction date I was told the storage was sold and when I asked for the information of the buyer in an attempt to buy my thing back which were mainly items from my dad who passed away I was told they couldn’t even though customer service said otherwise. I am highly disappointed and not to mention it was auctioned for $250 when I had the full $750 to make matters worse I received an email 5 days later requesting $700 from what they claimed was left in the bill after credit

sold all my stuff it was $504 i told them i had $800 i was outside of the uhaul place since 6 am they sold my stuff at 10:15 i got there at 10:25 they didn’t work with me at all the manger told me it’s sold it’s nothing she can do she was so nasty and rude abd the other woman told me baby everything is goin be ok only thing she can tell me that the lady name and i was so thankful so when i seen a woman walking up i asked her was that her name she said yes i offered her $800 as i was crying to get my stuff she gave me only my clothes and kept everything els i left with a broken heart sad and crying because i begged them to give me 10 min she said ok n still sold my stuff i called at 9:50 to pay the payment wouldn’t go thru so she said come in and pay she doesn’t kno why it’s not going thru so i came all the way back from laurel to get told it was just sold 15 min ago and walked away like oh well she was very nasty and rude the manger

The associate would not allow our employee to pick up the vehicle even though we have an online reservation with a credit card on file. She also stated that we were not permitted to utilize the mobile pick-up option without a company account. The associate appeared hostile and disinterested in finding a solution that works best for our continued business. I had to leave an important meeting to physically respond to the site and wait an additional 20 minutes for the associate to begin working with us, because another associate was busy taking a test for school. Poor customer service all the way around.

Online self-check in process was ridiculously slow and problematic at each step of the way. I wish I could have cancelled my reservation and gone somewhere else - it was that frustrating. There's no reason it is such a slow process at this stage of technology.

The bathrooms could use some work. Cleaning was poor and they were usually not well supplied. I also found the main garage door was usually not working. That was not a big deal for me because I could also use the sliders to get things in and out. Overall the important components...security, access and facility lighting were great!

When I arrived to take my furniture out of storage,there was one door open.trucks were blocking the other doors that go up,full of snow. There was a person using that door. Finally Greg that works there,open another door,after we ask,after sitting in our own uhaul for 11/2 ,waiting to get inside storage,to get our furniture. Then the elevator wasn't working, and never did.we had to take turns,with guy that was already there,using the service elevator. Mice droppings were everywhere,in our storage bind.even on our furniture. Pulled cotton out a couch,so I had to throw my sofa chair. Awful experience. .never recommended anyone going there.

Staff very rude and unprofessional especially one of the ladies at the counter, the one with the darkest skin. She’s extremely rude and disrespectful with her terrible attitude and unwillingness to be just, honest and professional. As of today i still have not received my refund due from my cancellation of the insurance I added after someone tried to break my lock to get into my storage room. I emailed the manager Ms. Sharon L on June 8th 2023 to tell her that my renters insurance with GEICO does cover my storage room at Uhaul also. My email explicitly asked for a cancellation of the insurance from uhaul I was paying and I also attached a copy of my proof of insurance/ declaration page from GEICO. On October 30th i came by to move out but my storage unit was illegally locked by Uhaul even though my account was paid in advance. The white male i dealt with promised walked with me my helper to my unit. However he was unable to unlock the uhaul lock on top of my own lock but he promised to come back to cut out the illegal lock but he didn’t. I had to reschedule my move for the 31st instead because of the lock Uhaul put illegal my on top of my own lock, causing me to pay extra for bringing movers. On October 31st i met with Ms Sharon the manager to let her know of my dissatisfaction and also ask for a refund for the month of November and the refund for the insurance from June to October 2023. I still have not received the refund of the insurance. Ms Sharon asked me to resend the original email from and I did however still no refund yet. Please refund my money. Fatima

I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore (pulasky hwy). The storage room smells so terrible and filled with rodents and roaches. I had to throw my ($350) sofa in trash, as it was filled with rodent and roaches poop and smells terrible. People at the store were very unfriendly. I suggest better help them learn how to handle customers.

I only had my unit for 2 months and it is infested w/mice and rats. Rat and mouse feces and urine all over EVERYTHING in my unit & it smells HORRIBLE! I had to pay $500 today (9/3) to have everything from my storage removed & hauled for trash. This storage facility is a disgrace & needs to be closed down ASAP! When I told the employee there his response was "oh the rat traps must not be working." Like how could you knowingly accept business knowing these conditions. The manager is very nonchalant about it and shows no empathy at all!!!!

There are little to no trash cans. I had dead mice and mouse feces in my boxes when I retrieved my items. There was always a long line when I needed help and everyone always had ti call someone else to do what needed ti be done. You all need to make sure employees are crossed trained in everything.

A second review because this place was so terrible. My “move out” date was also my “move in” date because they didn’t have a unit for me even though I had a unit reserved. Total incompetence. Uhaul should be embarrassed to be associated with this facility.

I reserved a storage unit a month out only to be told that they didn’t have a unit. I was then offered a bigger unit, with no price adjustment due to THEIR mistake, and proceeded to give me a unit that was ALREADY rented out to someone else. At that point they told me that they had no units for me. How is that possible? I drove from Philadelphia with a full 26’ truck and was left scrambling because of complete incompetencey. This facility should be absolutely ashamed of itself. I was also charged for gas even though i filled the tank to the levels i received the truck at. When i spoke over the phone with customer service that agreed with me based on the pictures i took of the fuel levels. Just greed, incompetence and flat out stupidity. I will never use uhaul again and am in the process of asking for a refund. I will also tell everyone I know to stay away from this facility and have called the better business bureau about this issue.

My storage unit was outside. I had it for over a year. Everything was great until I moved out, closed my account or at least I thought they did. The next month they charged my account twice back to back. Tried multiple times to reach out through customer service with no luck so I just went up there.

My lease was up on 4/24/23. Prior to that date, My friend was there to finish removing my property and clean up the unit. The staff assumed I was out prior to my calling to confirm and cleared out my stuff, billed me and then when they realized I was not out, they told my friend their mistake and refunded the charges and closed my account?!? I had a couple of books I was keeping but it is too late now... I have two units in Alaska and never paid $50 to bust the lock... The staff took my brand new lock off which I should be compensated the $11.++... My discarded property had sentimental and Spiritual value to me and I have to close this chapter with U-Haul at a loss of years of payments to be tossed without calling me prior to clearing out my unit. I arrived after a long driving and the the greeting was a look with no smile nor “ how can I help you”. I asked if your employee is ok she answered that she was not, and I followed with a hope that your employee was ok, she seems angry and the reason why she come from the back absent or the bad luck, because she dropped her food on the floor. On top of that, they didn’t have my storage that I reserved. All what I get is call the number 1 800 number and list go on

This place is run down. If you come in the evening bring a flashlight to see in your unit because it is very dim. Saw a dead mouse in the hall once and there was mouse poop in my unit. Someone also left a couch in the elevator, which gets in the way of other people using the elevator and it was there for several days.

The staff at this location is top notch! Management, people that clean the vehicles, customer service all of them! I've interaced with 4 different people at this location and each interaction was just as pleasant as the last. I would use this facility again just because of the people who work there. It is not the nicest uhaul location as far as the space but the service is unmatched. I think there may have been a mouse that got into my belongings and there was no food stored there so that's not great but the staff was incredibly helpful with every part of my move and storage needs. Robert and the team at this location all deserve bonuses fir the way they treat people and make uhaul look good.
