The van seemed well maintained. The cleanses could been better. I feel if you rent a vehicle it should be clean. The van was dirty every time you walked by it and rubbed against it your clothes got dirty. The windows and side mirrors were dirty and dusty.

heather f | Overall ExperienceWhen it’s winter, reserved trucks should be warmed up and the snow and ice cleared off. The snow in the lots need to be cleared properly so trucks don’t get stuck. Was not a very good experience.

GARRY FI came to pick up the rental truck and it was pretty much sitting in a snowbank, ice and snow covering the windshield. It was quite cold out, about -18C and it looks like they do not plug vehicles in. The truck turned over very heavy, in my opinion they should have trucks pulled out and cleaned of snow and ready for customers prior to pick up.

Ernie BI have rented from this site before , this facility should be called , U CLEAN , U FILL THE GAS , I had to clean the windows before leaving the site as I could not see out of them going into the sun , this is the second time this has happened , the back still had debris from prior use , and the unit had 1/4 tank , IAM done ever renting from U Haul again , I will make sure I let people know the filth these trucks are actually maintained Pathetic !!!!

ken jI called them to check on my rental and my reservation. They told me the debit machine was down and would have to bring cash and pay upfront. When I got there I was told I need a credit card and can not pay cash. I was not impressed with this. I then had to find a credit card and had went out of my way to get up even earlier then I wanted to to go to the bank and get $400 cash. No one there is very friendly. They don’t say good morning. It was like a government office. Very cold and unwelcoming.

ANDREW PLast time I rented a truck here they had the truck pulled up front for me and snow cleared off. Today truck covered in snow and told me truck was in row 3, thinking it was first truck in that row. Nope had to back out 4 trucks deep and almost got stuck cause lot not cleared of snow.

DEL DBooked in for a tucked hitch install based on the uhaul videos available online. Price was good, install date availability worked for me. With a 2024 model van, the install was fairly involved and the installer called to confirm I was okay with the cutting and adjustment involved. Mid day the installer called to say it was complete, but the dash was throwing error codes and I should get it looked at by a dealer. Obviously not what you want to hear, but chatting with the GM at the location they came up with a solution that was fair and got me sorted ASAP. Things don't always go right, but showing appreciation for how they get resolved is what counts to me. Hitch and power wiring are great and dealer has sorted the sensor issue.

DONALD MThe trailer was covered in snow, dirt , and frozen slush, but it had snowed recently, followed by an extreme cold snap. The morning operator used a can of de-icer to free up the roll-up door and the door latch mechanism and made sure that it all worked well enough before I left. Both the morning and afternoon operators were very helpful and polite. The small, covered trailer worked well to transport our bulky item and protected it from the extreme weather conditions.
GARY NIf the pricing didn't adjust so much I would have stayed. On website when I booked, it was going to be $79.99 then 100 then 120. So I ensured to find alternative storage arrangements within the month before being charged. I was completely okay with the $80 or $100 but it going up within the few week period online wasn't great. I would feel very secure having my belongings there though.

OLAMIDOTUN AThe contract reads if the vehicle is not topped up with fuel when it’s returned then the corp will charge 1.65/litre to fill. I received the truck with 3/4 tank. Do you realize how hard it is to match that level before the return? Rent full tank vehicles.

CHRISTOPHER JOne of the guys that were receiving the vehicle was SUPER HOSTILE, when I arrived with the truck I stopped to look for someone to accept it, and this guy came over and yelled: ARE YOU DROPPING THIS TRUCK OFF?!?, to which I replied: yes, the guy says: PARK IT OVER THERE!! NOW!, I asked: where exactly? between those two bins?? his response: THERE THERE THERE!!! while pointing the finger at a general area, so I got inside the car and moved it over there, I was backing up and I didn't see him go behind the car, so he BANGED the side of the car and ran up to me yelling: NEXT TIME CHECK YOUR MIRRORS BEFORE RUNNING OVER SOMEONE!!!!!!, I said: I'm so sorry I didn't see you there, but I'm really sorry, I don't regularly drive a big truck, his response: YEAH WHATEVER, GO TO THE COUNTER NOW! I still apologized to the cashier telling her the story and also to his coworker who was also checking the trucks, which by the way was super polite, I wish the other guy would have been the one to greet me instead. I didn't ask for names but the hostile guy was tall, dark beard and glasses. The other guy, the polite one was short, blonde and very young, he was great.
EDGAR LMy pickup location changed without notification. I then drove 30 minutes across town to the "new" location to find my equipment was not available. I then had to drive 30 minutes back to pickup new equipment at my originally requested location. I had to move my car twice as reserved spots for equipment were not remotely clearly marked. The staff were overly surly about this. The 2 wheel dolly was not in the vehicle so I again had to go back into the office to acquire one, despite being told it was in the vehicle. There was no fire extinguisher in the vehicle and the rear door is in poor repair. It should not take a significant amount of force to open the door and the latch mechanism is broken, missing a spring or two. My rental was an hour shorter than I had booked after the revision, meaning I had to rush, and did not achieve what I had set out to do. This was not discussed when I collected the equipment I wasted ~90 minutes of my day driving to a location I did not select, or was notified I had been moved to, to collect a vehicle that was not available, and back to my original location. Upon arrival there I was instructed to move my car twice as mentioned above. The equipment was not in great shape. The agent at the Inkster location who helped transfer/revise my booking was extremely helpful and accommodating, and should be commended for his customer service.
IAIN GEmployees were polite and professional. Drop off employee was concise and seemed to take pride in his work.
GEORGE PStaff were chill and helpful, and the promo came in clutch. If I am caught in a bind in the regent area again, I would use this location for sure.

The mirrors needed a wipe by me and snow had to be swept off as the truck had come from somewhere snowing as it melted soiled our u- haul boxes when loading. It was an easy fix for us to knock all snow off door and lay towels down on back entrance of u- haul. All in All very good first time experience with u-haul on Regent Kind regards
Ernest BPlease make sure that customer recieved all ordered materials. In my case I was missing 1/2 dozen of pads for transportation of furniture. My TV Stand got ugly scratches. BUT I am still very happy to deal with UHaul. The rest things was awesome!

ALIYAH SLocation was good, building was clean same with parking lot and the truck was spotless. the staff member there was great helped me quickly with no complaints. Only issue was the truck it self, it sounded like there was a manifold leak in the exhaust, and had loud banging in rear( while truck wasn’t loaded) when in reverse.

NICOLE S1: hire enough staff 2: provide training for those staff With enough trained staff, any business can function. Function is key when dealing with growing lines of customers, and the need to make sure vehicles are returned in the condition they are supposed to be in, and leave in the condition (and with equipment) you are saying it is in.
JARED LThe process was seamless and smooth. Just one thing to note on the CDW part. I’ll suggest your team make this refundable or part of it refundable if the truck doesn’t have any issues on return. I bet you guys will make more money on the CDW insurance because people will be willing to pay for it without thinking too much and not considering losing about 20$ when the truck comes back intact.
ISAAC OYou are very expensive now. I feel like you advertise with 19.99 -to what ever. But your km and mile rate is alot , I drove far 200 km but to be charged over $300 pluse $ 90 in gas , seem like alot of faulse advertisements , your prices are really high.
MELISSA FI rented a 10-ton truck. I thought all the trucks had a ramp and found out the 10-ton does not. It made the task a bit difficult. I think it should be listed online what features are on each truck. If I had known that the 10-ton did not have a ramp, I would have gone for one with one.

BRYAN VVery nice storage facility, very clean and well maintained. Nice solid overhead door in like new condition. Very convenient for distance to home and back. Tons of room for maneuvering any uhaul sized truck to get to the unit. Also, nice and secure fenced and gated in compound. 😀

After I emptied the storage unit and gone to the office to cancel, I was informed I needed to go back and take pictures of the empty storage unit, plus bring the lock for them to see. When I went to take pictures of the empty unit days later, I found it was closed and labelled ready for customer. I paid for the unit until the end of the month. Yet I was still required to supply a picture of the unit & lock.

I had a few questions that weren’t very confidently answered, nothing was really explained to me when I was handed the paperwork. Nothing was discussed about payment other than first month free. I wanted to pay 3 months in advance but said I’d come back another day when it was less busy to try and relieve some of their stress. I had to return to ask about a lock as no information was given. When arrived today, the gate code didn’t work. An employee reset it and it still didn’t work. Then the unit we signed for was apparently rented to someone else already so we then had to be switched to another unit. All around very unorganized, unprofessional service.

Sabino U | Overall Experiencemy only issue was the convenience of the storage access hours. I was fine with the standard closing time but it is not very convenient when you arrive 1/2 hour before closing the storage access only to find that when i arrived the overhead door locked making it impossible to complete my task, I am a senior and having to do the extra step to load or unload when the overhead is locked is quite difficult. Staff had already locked the overhead as they were doing their final check before clocking out. When you are advised the unit is accessible there should be something in your information that indicates the overhead is inaccessible 15--30 minutes before the storage unit is closed. Or staff should have shifts that end 15 minutes after the allowed time and do their closing lock up once the storage unit is closed to clients No feedback required. After the couple of times we showed up 1/2 hour before closing we learned not to arrive that close to closing in order to access via the overhead. The first time we could not find anyone to speak to, the 2nd time someone was doing the walkabout inside the storage area and advised us that access was via the door that close to closing.

FERNANDO R | Overall ExperienceThe staff in Edmonton and in Winnipeg were above average. Kind, friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, able and willing to help. The truck wasn’t perfect. The driver side mirror wasn’t tight enough to stay in position which could have been dangerous. (Staff in Winnipeg took note) and the engine light turned on part way to my destination. When I called they told me to keep driving. I did and it was fine. But it just added a note of stress. But the truck was clean. The ramp was so helpful and was easy to use The storage facility was like new. All together a good experience. I’d recommend Uhaul to anyone on a budget.

I really should file a detailed complaint about what happened when I had booked my trailer rentals. I spent 6 hours of my time plus gas, trying to deal with these people. Slightly disappointed with the move-out process, but the facility itself was excellent.

The reason I selected this facility is I knew from the past they had indoor unloading. They certainly charge for this convenience! A second overhead door should be installed or at minimum have capability to raise and lower the single door by chain in event of electrical failure. The washroom is also out of service. I was going to try moving again today but door still not repaired. Try spend an extra dollar on 24 hour repair service you certainly charge for having indoor convenience. Especially in this winter weather. So disappointing.

Had to unload out doors in the cold thru small pedestrian sliding door. Storage units were clean and secure. Washroom was also out of service. I had called to confirm open hours as it was a Stat holiday today. Would have been nice if they advised me the overhead door was not working and you had to unload outdoors and carry everything in. Perhaps they should consider removing small slider and install a second overhead door . Overall a very cold disappointing start to our move and very poor impression.

The operator was very rude and scolded me for being on that side of the storage area. She didn't ask if I needed help she just yelled at me for being in that area.

The price I was quoted was for the upper level so I had to pay more for main level. I was also not informed that I had to use a specific lock to be purchased at the facility. I called the facility and spoke to the manager who told me that the rep at the call center I talked to did not know a out the stipulations for their facility and I said they should be. I was not very happy about having to pay $25 more per month and would like to receive some type of compensation. I look forward to hearing from you with respect to this matter.

I feel that it is disingenuous to claim the space as a private location, therefore exempt from enforcing a mask policy. An average of 10 people have been dying every day in Manitoba for the last couple months. It is a very simple policy to enact to ensure your customers (and the communities) safety. This is pretty much the main reason why I closed my up my storage account and why I would not recommend U-Haul to someone else for storage. Wear a mask.

It forces you to have a second contact but that person cannot have the same address or phone number that you are listing. It won’t allow work phone numbers or addresses to be used. After several tries I was successful the first time, needing a second unit (because website information was inaccurate about the correlation between unit size and size of apartment/house furnishings it fits) I was unable to book it online as it had already associated all the phone numbers I had used for the previous booking and I don’t have others I can use. Updates to the website content and booking system are imperative.

I went to pick up my trailer on Regent and got a charge of a full month between August 11th to September 11th and had to pay 94 bucks for a full month that I won't use. Also, I paid for a full months rent, and I was out a little over a week after my payment. It would be nice to get a credit for the time I didn’t occupy the space. Great money maker for your company but if someone leaves prior to the end of the month, a refund of the time not being used would be great. Basically a waste of $202 from March 12 to March 21.
