The trailer I rented was not in good condition took me twice as long to put the car on and take it off again Could not get one ramp on or off Uhaul is the company I would still use. Just get rid of the junck trailers. Mine had so many weld pachs. Its hard to move your veniche on or off

Pick up took almost an hour making me late for my move. You need more than 1 person early on weekends for pick up. Drop off was also backed up however much quicker.

While using the online smart phone method to check out the truck, a staff member came out and claimed that another customer was renting the same truck we were identified as renting and I was already nearly complete the smart phone check out. The staff member claimed I would need to rent another truck and I said no and proceeded with the final step of the smart phone check out process which was to retrieve the key which the staff member had in his hand. He would not give me the key even though I showed him my smart phone display that indicated I was to receive the key. He left and returned to the building. I followed and waited at least 10 minutes before I was given the key. When returning the truck, another staff member did not understand the smart phone truck return process. I insisted to complete the return with the smart phone return process prompts while he nagged at me. Staff need to be trained on the smart phone rental processes and professionalism! The final receipt was not emailed for approximately 1.5 hours after the truck was returned.

My experience overall was pretty great. The staff at the front desk was friendly, and I appreciated the simplicity and reliability of the after-hours return process. The equipment was great and very reliable, would definitely rent again. I did have to submit an inquiry though to have the right rate calculation performed with respect to my mileage. But I suspect this is more a system issue than anything else, not reflective of the staff, product, or location. As well they did not really have the equipment "ready to go" when I got there, but ultimately this was only a minor setback and it was a Monday so I can grant some forgiveness there.

I think you need better rates for people who are just using a pick up truck for a couple of hours. I had the truck for about 3 hrs and was charged $55. Plus having to put $20 In gas. The price per km is too high.

We reserved for a 15' cargo truck online. We received an email that said the 15' moving has been "reserved for you and guaranteed". Then two days before our date of service, we received an email stating that there had been a change and that we now have a 9' van!!! We complained and the rep said it was a system glitch, that reserving on line is different, that their systems do not communicate to each other. We were given BS excuses! I asked if they can find another 15' cargo truck in any location, apparently everything was booked! Of course we accepted the 9' van, it was better than nothing! We are moving from a 3 Bedroom house (complete with garage and basement), and we are expected to use a 9' van. Point A to point B was about 25 km each so a round trip (add loading unloading time) was 1 hr each. Even after the 8 hrs we had the van we were not able to finish all loads. We had even supplemented by using our SUV to load boxes as well. The next day we had to use our SUV to finish moving which took another 8 hours. It would have been fine if the email we received stated our reservation was tentative. But it said guaranteed! we had friends booking of that day to help us move, but obviously cannot stay for the whole 8 hrs. If we had gotten the 15' cargo van/truck, we could have the move done in two or three trips. Not more than 15 trips! The emotional and physical stress we went through from all that driving, loading and unloading was beyond upsetting. I am very disappointed in how UHaul manages their booking. VERY BAD!!!!!!

I pre-booked using your online web page. It would be really helpful if when selecting the truck/trailer to rent, the website would show U-Haul outlets with the truck/trailer available. Instead I had to keep changing the outlet and working through selection steps to see which outlet had the equipment available.

Free dollies on large trucks. ? I used one this time because I had an extra 7 bucks. But last time I moved I could barly afford the truck. Would have been so much faster to use the dolly. Anyways it was all good

This was my first time renting a truck from U-Haul.. Nervous walking into the building to find a long line of angry people that just want a truck.. Thinking to myself great in in the right building.. After quite the long wait to help 4 customers (2 walked away with no truck after making reservations)... My turn.. Get to the counter.get asked who I was and if I called to call center. Replied with my name and yes I called 2 weeks befor this date.. The man dident say any thing else after alot of clicking and deep breaths nervous from the start I asked the guy if there a problem. (with my cc and license in hand) he tells me there's no truck here for me.. I would have to go to another location.. Then another cashier pokes his head through the side and says we'll give him that one.. The check list of the inspection was done behind the counter man told me that it was all checked in the morning I asked if we could go check the truck outside together he sayed of course.. Define the back of my truck having leaves all in the back(wasent sweep out as checked) Ash in my ashtray(dash no clean like checked) which I was accused of smoking in.. after a long day of moving rushing to get there for 5 before they close I can pay my bill I get there at 4:30 for another employee to tell me they charge extra to fill up fuel to where it was that I had time to go over around to top it up in half an hour I ask the guy how much I should put in for to be where it was and he didn't know he didn't help me read my contract just sayed around I got around put 40 in. Now the trucks topped up full.. 20 more then needed... Get back 440 same employee the told me 40. Takes my keys as I tell him now theres 20 more then needed he sayed that they don't reimburse people that don't know how to read their contract in his exact words he says that's on me.. So now feeling like I'm just getting taken advantage of now I'm wanting to know how many miles I put on the truck so I don't get ripped off even more.. I asked to go inside and quickly go through my invoice... He tells me we are closed. (445) shutting down the computer.. I rushed here to watch you close... I don't think so.. Turned around to go inside to find.. 2 other customers at the computers being helped... I took my invoice and my calculator off my phone trying to add up all the charges after totaling it all up it was $10 more than what it should of been. just wanting to get out of there and have this whole ordeal done with overall employees were very rude did not help understand where all the charges came from I hope I never have to rent a Uhaul ever again.. employees need to understand that this is people's lives here it's not just a job nothing worked out yesterday including the whole U-Haul experience. But U-Haul got their truck back (with no damage) but Uhaul got there extra hidden charges payed for.. And Uhaul got 20$ more gas. (that's on me) also u haul lost me as a customer.. there's a few employees at the Regent l

Make sure the rental is in good working order. This was the worse rental I have ever experienced. The open trailer broke down an hour after I rented it, I had to wait 6 hours for Uhaul roadside assistance. It wasn't fixed right and I had to wait for a new part the next day. 4 days later it broke down again , I took it to a different Uhaul location and 5he guy there was of no assistance, he was more concerned if I broke the trailer and wasn't able to help me, even though he had a brand new trailer sitting at that location. Roadside was able to find me a different trailer at U haul across town. So I could come back and get my load that evening. I spent 12 hours in total this past week waiting to get the trailer fixed or replaced. NEVER AGAIN!

The posted prices are misleading. The advertised $19.95 is for only four hours, not a day, and the per kilometer/mile charges are way out of line. The insurance rate for four hours for the smallest truck is more than most rental companies charge for a whole day. I would not rent here again.

Did not have my Ubox's ready for pick up as communicated. Requested I come back the following day, which wasn't an option. Had to wait 60+ minutes for them to locate my Ubox's.

The customer service received in Winnipeg, was poor. The blokes working there were not nice and frankly, they were quite rude. As for the truck itself, we had to add almost a gallon of oil, it smelled of burning engine oil, the master brake cylinder was sodden with brake fluid, and the power steering fluid was leaking quite badly. Just to let you know.
