Serious error in distance. Spoke to the manager onAugust 11 and and he was more worried that I didn't response to a text I never received confirming the mileage then to the abusive employee or the obvious overcharge of $200 dollars to my credit card if which they stated I went 149 miles which is equal to 249 kilometers and I only went 83 kilometers. So disappointed in Carlton's response in stated he was going by the odometer and that's all. Never apologise for the abusive employee or met me halfway in price. I only paid $55 dollars to bring up the gas to the level they wanted. If I went 249 k or 149 miles like they stated I would have paid 3 times as much for gas. Never will I use u haul againCathrine M.

I was unable to use the trailer. The vehicle I wanted to tow would not fit on the trailer without damaging the front bumper. I provided the information about the vehicle I was going to tow and was told it would work. When I returned the trailer and asked if there was anything that could be done about my situation the employee sais she didn't know. That was all the help I got. This survey doesn't cover our overall experience with uHaul. We were upset with having to give 4 different telephone numbers in order to rent the uhaul. That was a little ridiculous!! And therefore picking up the rental took longer than it needed to. Staff was friendly though!Randy H.

This location had a major power outage from morning till at least noon. While there I witnessed several women clients being very abusive to the staff. The gentleman (can't remember his name) that checked me out was extraordinarily patient with them. When I returned the truck, David was the gentleman that assisted me. After the abuse I witnessed these two gentleman put up with in the morning, they were courteous and so helpful with both pickup and drop off. I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received from Aaron, David, Daniel and Autumn. Aaron made sure that my reservation suited my needs, even though he was dealing with an unexpected situation. David quickly got me on my way, and made several jokes that helped me lighten up (it was moving day and I needed that!). Autumn helped me by phone, she was quick and friendly to edit my return time, and Daniel was great when I brought the truck back. When I got my rental the fuel gage level was slightly less than what was indicated on my agreement. I assumed that this was within an acceptable variance and proceeded anyways. I drove a total of 10 city miles and the fuel gage did not move. I returned the rental after purchasing fuel and the gage again did not register. Upon my return Dave inspected the vehicle and found that everything was returned in good order except for the fuel level which was slightly less than what was initially marked. I was accused of not refueling the vehicle and had to explain the sinario to him and he eventually saw things correctly. During our conversation he said that I should have taken a picture to prove the level marked by a Uhaul employee. I was not told I needed to take a picture only that I return it in the same condition. Perhaps there should be a initial walk through to confirm the condition of the rental to avoid Arguments when the vehicle is returned.Andreas E.

I rented a truck to bring my belongings to the storage area in regent as I have rented a storage as well. When I put everything in the storage and wanted to leave so I can bring other things to the storage, the door was not working and I was stuck for more than 90 minutes. No assistance over the phone, they kept transferring me, nobody took the responsibility. After one hour I spoke to someone who was helpful and told me that he will be sending someone to open the door. After 30 minutes a lady came, she was very rude to me. I asked her gently what happened to the door, what should I do if I'm stuck another time and she said just leave now, just leave. I don't have time, I came from my home, leaaave. Waaaw I was shocked by her response and reaction. She didn't care about that I was stuck for 90 minutes and she had to be nice in similar circumstances. She represents an international company, she has to be very professional. If there's a 0 star I will put it as a review to this experience. It's not professional at all. I was supposed to do two trips today but I did only one. I have to rent a truck again because of the door that was not working. I'm asking for a credit that I can use for the next time I rent a truck and I l'm asking to follow up with your employee so she knows how to deal with customers and the right way to talk to them.Anis B.

I was contacted by one of the agents and told that I was caught on camera stealing vegetables and putting them in my rental. When I said it wasn't me, they threatened to call the police. I stated again that it wasn't me. Finally they stated the vehicle number and I confirmed that it wasn't mine. They said a quick sorry and hung up, but at that point I was extremely shaken up. It is expected that we return the vehicle with the level of fuel that was in it at time of pick up or we would be charged to fill it to that level, however, if the customer returns it with a higher level of fuel (in quarter of a tank increments) there is no consideration to give an adjustment on the bill. Two arms of the rack already misaligned after 2 uses (1.5 mos after purchase) and when I called to inquire if anything can be done about it, I was told by the staff there's nothing that can be done since it has no warranty and since it's already been opened and used MULTIPLE times. With low availability they were able to get me a 20' truck for 8 hours yesterday. It hinged on the customer before me dropped it off by their expected time, and they were there with minutes to spare. Overall the whole experience was very efficient. In all of the hussle to get us the truck, the cab area inside the truck was not inspected by the staff and had cigarette butts and ashes from the previous customer. The shittiest customer service I've ever seen in my entire life. Rude representative, dirty car, almost empty tank. Not helpful at all. Called 24 hrs before my appointment saying that the location has changed. I requested an auto transport trailer and a truck. Truck was extremely dirty and the trailer was at winkler which was 2 hrs out of city. I moved from Winnipeg to Toronto and driving that old nasty truck was the worst experience of my life. I booked a 15â€ truck on June 12 in advance to ensure the truck I needed was available. The day before I moved I spoke to a lady to see if I was able to pick up the truck an hour earlier than 12:30pm on July 1st. She said yes I was able to pick the truck up at 11:30 am. When I went to the regent location to pick up the truck they told me my truck rental was booked for 11:30 PMâ€¦. That would mean I would be moving in the middle of the nightâ€¦ Who would move in the middle of the night. The representative I spoke to on June 30th obviously changed my reservation to PM instead of AM. I had all my belongings outside in my front yard ready to move for 11:30 am. And I was told there was not truck available due to your representatives error. It made things very stressful, they happened to find a small truck. Which made things very slow. It was nit good. I would like to express my thoughts about the lack of Information when I made my reservation. The price I was quoted was for the upper level so I had to pay more for main level. I was also not informed that I had to use a specific lock to be purchased at the facility. I called the facility and spoke to the manager who told me that the rep at the call center I talked to did not know a out the stipulations for their facility and I said they should be. I was not very happy about having to pay $25 more per month and would like to receive some type of compensation. Very confused about why U-Haul would not make masks mandatory while inside the storage warehouse. I feel that it is disingenuous to claim the space as a private location, therefore exempt from enforcing a mask policy. An average of 10 people have been dying every day in Manitoba for the last couple months. It is a very simple policy to enact to ensure your customers (and the communities) safety. The website registration is absolutely impossible to complete. It forces you to have a second contact but that person cannot have the same address or phone number that you are listing. It won’t allow work phone numbers or addresses to be used. After several tries I was successful the first time, needing a second unit (because website information was inaccurate about the correlation between unit size and size of apartment/house furnishings it fits) I was unable to book it online as it had already associated all the phone numbers I had used for the previous booking and I don’t have others I can use. My month long rent for a parking spot ended on August 11th. I went to pick up my trailer on Regent and got a charge of a full month between August 11th to September 11th and had to pay 94 bucks for a full month that I won't use.
