Have the truck I reserved with my card on file next time. I reserved a 15ft with my card and I showed up to find that no one in a 25 miles vicinity has a truck that big. I took the 10 ft to find right before I drove off the mirror had been broken. After finally getting the 3rd truck after getting a refund and starting all over I made my way home. Upon dropping the truck off the guy was a complete dick to me. I open that back to double check and he starts yelling at me talking about close the truck and get out of the way. I won't go back not recommend to a anyone

My experience with uhaul was great and the man that checked us in was very polite and professional. What i did want to make someone aware of is that another employee appeared to be either very drunk or very high on something. He went behind the counter to help with customers and stood there and struggled to get his mask "off of his eyes"! When he finally got the mask off his face he stood there staring at it, turning it in all different ways trying to figure out which way it went, for a longer amount of time than normal. Being naive I thought, aww isn't that nice they hire special people to help. Then I realized that was not the case at all. The man was clearly on something. The guy that was checking us out couldn't have been more professional. He didn't say a word. I was very impressed by that. So anyway kudos to the guy that waited on me and get the other guy to rehab!

I would like to thank Brittney for making my rental experience stress free. I loved driving the ecovan. The ride was smooth and comfortable. I would also like to thank the new manager I met there as well. The sales associate was extremely rude and condescending and He did not pay attention to the amount of days we needed the rental for. And then I received a very threatening phone call stating that my vehicle was only rented for two days when in fact we rented it for five days. The lady who called me threatened to report the vehicle stolen to which I informed her I did not appreciate being spoken to in the manner she was speaking to me in. We have rented from U-Haul, this specific location, multiple times and we have always had a good experience. This last time was very unpleasant and my wife and I were made to feel like we were complete idiots. There is no need to speak to a customer in the way that the sales associate did on the day we rented the vehicle and the day that they called me stating the vehicle was going to be reported stolen.

Arrived promptly for our 630am pickup on 8/31 only to find this office forgot to leave our truck key in the box. Proceeded to wait on hold for customer service for over 15 min who told us we would just have to wait for the employee to get there at 7 and we should talk to the office about a discount. Spoke with another employee who echoed the first customer services comments saying we had to work with the pickup site and manager in New Bedford to get the discount. We waited over 40 min for the employee to arrive and get us the key, had woken up at 445am and driven all the way from Boston as we had movers arriving at 8am- (This was after we had originally booked the truck at a closer location and then was changed on us last minute to New Bedford and had to drive 1.5 hours each way). The late pickup of the truck resulted in us being 45 min late for the movers and late getting out of our apt with the morning deadline we had from the landlord....All because of the mistake and this U-Haul and when we returned it were told they could not give us a discount and we had to call customer service- opposite what we heard from 3 other employees over the phone. We paid over $300 for this U-Haul and I am appalled at the service we have gotten, different answers and the runaround on a discount which is the least we should receive for the mistake at the New Bedford pickup location. I would never recommend this location and specifically U-Haul in general after this.

The gentleman behind the counter was very polite and extremely helpful. He went out of his way to find me a storage unit even though I hadn't reserved one beforehand (He gave me other numbers to call and even tracked down an open unit for me at his own location). First rate experience.

The staff on duty was very rude he also didn’t tell me the elevator was out of service where he said hope you don’t got a lot of stuff didn’t show me were the stair case was I went in and asked for a refund for my money back where I didn’t want the unit anymore it was too much of a hassle he said he didn’t know how to do the refund he’s only been there for 8 months when he said he thinks he figured it out he said my money will be back on my card in a little awhile I took that as a hour or two when I didn’t get the money on my card back right away he said a little awhile means a week I will be calling in a week to make sure my moneys back on my card since I did not keep the unit more than 10 minutes he was very rude and did not specify his name when I asked

i rent a van almost everyday they have 3 or 4 in the yard he just toldme none available for tomorrow i think hes full of it so now a good customer has to go look for a van for tomorrow, also when u rent its suppose to be 4 hour rental so why the hell are you calling me in 6 hours to return i didnt leave the country

Went to pickup my rental I reserved online. Everything was fine til I got to the truck. Lots of scratches. Dents. Even interior damage noted. Gas almost a quarter. Returning the vehicle was a mess. Dropped off hours earlier and yet still got charged an additional day since the rep didn't check in the vehicle when he took the keys. Took about 45 mins just to hand in the keys.

They were very busy and we booked a last minute rental. It took a little longer than normal to complete the reservation process, but they were apologetic and extremely courteous and professional the entire time. I would definitely use them again.

On Tuesday, June 23, I received a rental confirmation for a 15 foot truck, with a ramp and an appliance dolly for 12:30 pm on Saturday, June 27. I also submitted the on-line registration. The premise of this rental was to move a washer and dryer from one location to the other. On Thursday, June 25, I contacted Uhaul to make sure I was good to go and the agent told me I was all set. On Saturday, June 27, I arrived 20 minutes early and my truck was unavailable. It wasn't there. Even though I had a confirmation 4 days earlier, checked in on-line at the time of confirmation, verified I was all set 2 days prior to pick-up, and showed up for my rental early, there was no truck waiting for me. The truck with the ramp and dolly was necessary as I had no help to lift these appliances accept for a couple of elderly folks who I was doing this for. I ended up renting a van as that was all that was left. The clerks (both rental and drop-off) being pleasant was the only nice thing I can write about this experience. Nothing but disappointment, truly. You have lost a customer.

Just have to say that I read reviews about the uhaul location on Rockdale Ave in newbedford and everyone was saying that Michael was so pleasant and have met their needs in a rental... So I went to uhaul at Rockdale Ave newbedford to rent a truck and was accommodated with all my needs and I said your Michael aren't you he said yes and I told him that online all the comments were about you/Michael and that you took care of anyone that rented a vehicle and that he/Michael took care of any problems any customer had and rectified the situation. My review is Michael was pleasant, helpful and on point with my rental and explained everything perfectly the first time. Everyone said he's the man..... I am glad I had him as a rep at the counter and was very very pleased and satisfied. Jody Donnelly ??

Arrived for pickup to find several customers waiting for the corporate computer system to come back on line after a system failure. Was told there was no way to do a hand written contract, sale , or check in. Could be a 20 minute wait or 2 hours. This needs to be fixed.

I had to download my driver's license 3 times and my candid photo 4 times. There was no explanation as to the location of the key locker box. After searching the entire vehicle twice, I had to enter the office and ask where the key was located. The UHaul representative was not able to find the key either at first. He finally determined it was in the key box next to the front office door.

3 times I asked and 3 times I was told that I would have a trailer hitch with the truck rental. When I looked in the truck there were none. I returned to the office when an assistant found one but said I would need to be checked out with it. I went to the truck to wait for the uhaul employee to install it. When no one came I returned to the office where I was told I had to buy it. I refused, very disappointing. What is your policy regarding trailer hitches? 6 months ago I rented a uhaul pick up and was provided a hitch with the truck, no questions asked. Same location.

I complained twice about mice being found in my unit. One dead mouse in the unit and one in the hall. Yesterday I went to clean out my unit and there was mice feces all over my mattress. The mice ate holes in my mattress!! Total loss. I’m so grossed out I have to get ride of anything fabric in that unit. I had that unit for six months and it’s contents are a total loss. When I complained I was told to call cooperate. What a waste of six bucks! I now have to buy a new bed. Disgusted.

Be more responsive/attentive . I had booked my rental on line. When I arrived a few minutes prior to the scheduled pick up to execute paperwork, employee A was helping a customer, employee B took their time chatting, made themselves a cup of coffee, and then chatted more with other employees (I have no idea what they were supposed to be doing), then about 15-20 minutes later, employee B stopped chatting, sat at the counter at the computer and started to help me. While helping me, he still chatted with other employees but he was not able to multi-task, so he had to stop helping me then restart several times, very frustrating. I was finally ready to go 35 minutes after the pick up time. Clearly no respect for my time.

I'm a regular UHaul user. Could save time checking in if they didn't have to take picture of licence each visit. Info must be stored in computer as well as other data is. Otherwise am always glad to rent from UHaul.
