I wanted a 26' truck for a few days. They only had it available for 1 day, so I had to get a 20' truck. They compensated me by only charging me 59 cents per mile instead of $1.12 per mile. The employees are all very, very friendly! The store smelled very, very clean!

This is for corporate UHAUL, and not related to the location I used. I find the policy to charge people $20 for over-night drop off to be unreasonable. What work am I causing UHAUL when I do not check-in the vehicle on the web? It is just more work for me, and the UHAUL staff still have to check the vehicle over. I could take photos before, or doctor them to hide any potential damage. There are a lot of tricksters out there who can dummy-up a check-in of a vehicle. So even if you have someone out of province verifying the check in, they can not truly be sure there is no damage, or that the mileage is correct. And then you want to charge me? For an early over-night return? For work that you would have to do anyway? What lame VP thought this was a good idea? Aside from the fact, that I do not carry a cell phone! Yes, there are still people who chose not to carry a cell phone.

The truck rear was difficult to close and open... otherwise, truck was clean and ready to go. Staff were friendly and helpful... all supplies were put into the truck trailer and that made my move easier. When I came to pick up my truck, the line was extremely long and there was only one associate. Morning peak times could probably use 3 staff (at least 2) to keep things moving smoothly. :)

The vehicle had safety issues - tires were low on air pressure Warning was on constantly signal light was not working - stated the vehicle had a full tank but clearly based on the distance I travelled and the amount of fuel required to top up the tank $40.00 the tanks was NOT full when given to me. The location was understaffed -

When I rented the uhaul the back of it was covered in wet soil which I HAD TO CLEAN in order to move my furniture.

I booked a 15 foot truck the previous individual did not return it in time so I was given a 10 foot truck with a rate discount on the mileage. I appreciate the discount but had I had the 15 ft truck I would have been able to return during your regular hours. Hence it took longer to move because of the smaller truck and now you are charging me the $20 fee because I returned it after hours. I would appreciate having the $20 fee reimbursed. Please advise.

Worst experience I've ever had at Uhaul and I've used you many times. It took way too long to pickup the truck I waited in line 25 minutes and I checked in online before going there. When I dropped it off it was even worse. The woman who check over the truck had a bad attitude problem and was trying to send me out of the store without a receipt. Worst experience ever!!!! That location used to be good and now it sucks completely!!!

Waited 45 min to pick up a van. one lady working like a slave for an hour till the rest showed up by some miracle had to leave and come back either you are not paying them right or there is something going on everyone looks disenchanted and it’s reflecting on service and customers alike and most associates look overworked. put signs for people returning vehicles or assign one attendant to clear them fast as it means more vehicles available and less of a queue. My initial pickup was two miles away I get a call an hour before pickup not the day before telling me I have to drive 16k one way to pick it up. Returning the vehicle on a Sunday was fine service ok but I get to pay a big premium for UHAUL’s fault the mileage I should be charged for is total mileage minus the 32km as now it costs more than the false advertised rate if that’s how u do business. You have nice vehicles but a Stone Age computer system and not a very happy experience for a lot of people in line to buy two boxes and waiting for half an hour if they only knew Home Depot sells them cheaper ?? Excuse the long rant someone has to tell you and now the reviews online make more sense.

I scheduled to pick a truck at 8am. When I got to the office there was about a 15 people line. I waited almost two hours to get the truck.

The girl at the front was very nice. She was by her self on the last day of the month and online check clients could not pick up truck share because the staff night before did not prepare it. Waited two hours in line for my truck. Terrible experience. Again it was not the staff members fault she was working hard as only one person was serving a line of 25 people

The two employees in the morning, were perfect and did a great job., but this place is a very busy location. So at least it needs 4 employees, not 2 . I waited for one hour in the queue. Which is too much .That is my only comment .

Frustrating experience picking up the 26 foot truck. Only 26 footer at location at time of pickup and was returned 15 minutes prior and had an issue with the parking brake sensor. Your rep allowed me to take the truck but I had to listen to an audible message in English and Spanish for approx. 120 kms telling me to release the parking brake before proceeding although parking brake not engaged. Well over half an hour to finish pickup process. Inside windshield of truck was extremely dirty and appeared not to have been cleaned for a very, very long time. Truck suspension very poor.

-it took way too long to check in -I even took advantage of checking in on the internet and it was still quite painful (she did have to take pictures of my driver's license but still...) -there were only two people working (one was the hitch mechanic) -both were helping customers and I was second in line -it was over 45 minutes from the time I arrived until the time I pulled off the lot -a bit ridiculous if you ask me

Marker lights did not work and were not checked before leaving although manager who hooked me up knew I was going to be driving at night, whole trailer squeaked and squealed sounded like wheel bearings were dry. The manager also hooked the breakaway chains to the steps on the back of my truck instead of the actual point they are meant to be attached that is part of the hitch then took a photo of it. I was also told that the uhaul location would not accept returns at night, conflicting with information on the website (I asked to bring it back at 10pm) and was told I would need to park it somewhere overnight as they would not accept the return if it was done overnight.

The cargo trailer that was reserved was not there or available. Had to rent an open box which was no good for my move. Trailer was returned an hour later and was not used. Wasted $20 for a trailer of no use. The lady that served me was very nice and helpful.

1) I was supposed to pick up van at 7:00 AM. Finally got it at 8:15 AM. When I asked if this means that I return it next day at 8:15 (for 24 hour rental), I was told very quick "No, at 7:00 AM". One would think that 24 rental would be from the moment you receive a vehicle. 2) I took liability coverage and was told that roof is not covered. When I came home to load furniture, out of curiosity I checked the roof. Surely enough it was badly damaged. Luckily for me there was already a sticker for a claim on the damaged roof. Just to make sure I called customer service to make sure it is recorded. This should have been noted when they gave me van, and not that I waste more time by calling on already busy day. 3) I hate when they give me a vehicle when gas tank is not full. Hate guessing how much I need to put in when gas tank is at 5/8. 4. I dropped van around 8:15 the same day. Dropped off contract and keys in a drop box which even was not locked. Parked van right in front of their door so they see it in the morning. Called U-haul customer service to tell them about unlocked drop box. Went online, as instructed, to report that van has been returned. Next morning I get email at 10:20 AM with almost double charge. Charged me for two day rental, for full tank of gas that I didn't receive, two days of collision waiver. Nice!!! 5. The only highlight of the whole situation is U-haul customer service that I called 3 times in span of 27 hours. They were helpful and promptly addressed all of my issues. Thank you.

Be polite and patient to customers. Greet with a smile not a frown. Offer to help when there is an issue. Make customer feel welcome not regretful they walked in. Have more staff on shift to help customers.

The application didn't work and I had to talk with an agent for an hour to solve it. In the end the agent could help me to solve the problem but she hung up the phone without saying anything. She didn't even hear my thank you. The next day I saw that I was charged incorrectly. Insurance was charged twice and the convenience fee was also charged but it shouldn't be because my application was not working properly. It was a terrible experience overall I am waiting to see whether you are going to refund the money I am overcharged or not.
