BRANDON SWe would like better information on what to do with furniture pads if unneeded. We ended up not using the majority of them, were told by the drop off guy that we didn't have to get them all inside the containers because the driver could take them, but then when the containers were picked up, there wasn't anywhere for them to go in the truck. Also, the Springfield location was lovely and organized. The Savannah location lost my containers, sent several automated messages that contradicted each other, found the containers, managed to deliver on time, and then rescheduled pick up several times which became very tedious. Would recommend this service to anyone that doesn't need to interact with the Savannah office in their moving process.

By mistake instead of put the next day of the trailer return, fill the same day and in the morning I got this weird text : "U-Haul: The U-Haul equipment you rented is overdue in violation of the agreed upon return date on your contract. Please contact us within 24 hours of this notice at 4178875832 to resolve this matter or we may report the equipment as stolen." like I stole the trailer... Wery unpleasant situation...

ELDON TThis is the first time that I had to go get the truck I was renting (15' truck) and load my on furniture pads and appliance dolly in the back of the truck. Every time previously that I have rented from this place (approximately 5 --6 times), an employee would go get the rental truck, drive it to the front and load any furniture pads and/or dolly. A standard was set the previous times; this time the service was below that standard. It seems like a small thing, and I adapted easily to having to do it myself, but good service is about the little things.
LUTHER KThe young man who came out to hook up the trailer didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable. I had flipped up the release and he put the trailer on then snapped it down. I later read that it’s supposed to be down and it snaps in place.
CATHY GI had reserved the van at the Glenstone location, drove by the Campbell location to go there and they had my van but could not find the keys and they called Campbell location to see if they had a van, which meant I had to pay for a lot more miles because what I needed the van for was just east of the Glenstone location. Didn't even offer any discount because of there mistake.

ELDON TI moved out after less than a month. Took pictures of clean empty unit as I was instructed over the phone. After emptying stopped by office, no one in store to help me, so I left. Called the store on my way home to check out, no answer on the phone. Connected to a non local agent and spent 10 minutes on the phone just to let you know I was checked out and wondering where the photos should be sent. She made notes in the system. It's been 24 hours and I have not received any confirmation that my unit and rental are closed out.

DEBBRA FPlenty of furniture pads. More than we needed. As far as arriving on time it was by no way those at U-Haul's fault. We had was bad weather that did delay things but the U-Haul personel did what they could to make things happen. I have used them now on several occasions and would recommend them if one is willing to move themselves. We did most of the moving ourselves and hired some help when needed. My thanks to all those who helped us at U-Haul Bailey, Noble and all the others. Thank You
paul kTried to extend the date at S Campbell in the app and it would t let me as I’ve done with past rentals. I tried to do the same with the final destination in Pacific MO and the same. The clerk on the phone tried also at S Campbell and also couldn’t. They transferred the call to “transportation” and they approved it and with a drop off in Washington MO. We tried to drop off in Washington MO and they said we had to go to Pacific…all done but a bit disappointing. Would rather have been told we had to do Pacific from the rep in “transportation”…

Jeremy LMy rental was fine, although it had a low tire pressure warning light on. I returned it with more fuel than what was required. I know it was clean and undamaged because I only used it for a few hours to move a refrigerator. I was charged an additional $8 with no explanation.
KRISTIN GWe followed all the steps for our 24/7 mobile share with no issues until it was time to unlock the key but found the lock to not be opening. (We watched the video tutorial to be sure we were operating the lock correctly, and spent a lot of time troubleshooting on our own as we value following directions and handling things on our own when possible.) Luckily, we arrived during business hours…. because when we told the employee we couldn’t get the lock open, they told us that the lock we were assigned had not been working for a while and the code was broken, so they had to unlock it for us. I understand things happen, but this was clearly a known issue that no one had addressed and there was a lack of communication between departments to ensure the issue didn’t get passed on to customers more than necessary. A note could have been placed on the lock to easily avoid this. (Or many other solutions!) What if we had made plans and arrived before hours since it is a 24/7 service??? The employee was kind and helped us get our key but was nonchalant about the issue. Then, when we went back in the building to return our key to the same person, he and another employee were having a personal conversation for an extended time when we arrived at the desk. We waited patiently, (it was clear they were not working on something urgent) and we didn’t say anything to interrupt. Eventually, the second employee put her hand up and said she would be with us in a moment (because they intended to finish their conversation before they helped us). Since all I needed to say was that we wanted to leave the key with them since the lock situation was weird, I interjected and said that, then we left. Moving is a lengthy and sometimes stressful process, and caring for a vehicle that is not your own can also be stressful, so when the business you are working with has programs and protocols for being proactive and efficient, it is greatly appreciated. Also, as a U-Haul customer, there were many (understandable ) expectations to maintain cleanliness, a schedule, and good care of the vehicle. I feel employees should reciprocate the same level of care and proactive service. Thank you for your time!
Tasha SThe staff are always friendly and willing to be helpful, but seemed short staffed, untrained (with regard to the swipe cards), and rarely are able to answer the phone. We had to use 4wd to access our unit after the snowstorm. Please pay staff a livable wage, and provide them with training and adequate staffing. Over all, we were VERY pleased with our Ubox and storage experience and will definitely return to U-Haul for future needs.

The one minor item I would remark on is the location has storage buildings on one side of the street and their trailers/vehicles on the other side of the street, with the giant U-Haul sign on the former. It caused us a minor delay because we pulled into the storage side first. But it was relatively easy to cross the street with a bit of patience for traffic. The location is exceptionally clean and well marked. Awesome experience.

I talked to one of the people who handles these problems!! Thank you for nit listening to me!!! You 100%right nit to let her cut the lock!! I appologize!! Which is fine, because I lost the key and that's on me What I don't think I should have to do is eat the other $131.90 because the right person was not there on site to do the job I needed done. When it is a job that is supposed to be offered by the facility. I would really like to be reimbursed for the difference, because it was not my fault that someone was not on site to authorize it. I can send the invoice if needed.

Also, I was a little intimidated to drive a 26’ truck but found it easy and just needed to watch the mirrors and pay attention to turns. Also have a spotter when backing. Will definitely use again and recommend!

When notifying the first employee I was told that was my risk it is only a tin building and it leaks. In climate controlled units? The second employee said it was a known issue and they were working on it. If the issue was known, why were no tenants notified? We had water literally dripping off the cart we were using to haul our ruined belongings to the dumpster. I don’t remember exact beginning rental date, but that was close to $2000 in rental fees just to throw the contents in the trash instead of being able to safely move them out. Would never rent a unit in your facility again and will definitely make sure anyone that asks me knows to never use those services either. I have utilized outdoor storage units for years with no climate controlled services and NEVER had any water damage.

I was told they would have a mechanic (?) run diagnostics(?) on it the next morning where they could tell exactly how many miles I drove it. I called the next morning, after worrying all night, & Josh wasn’t there, but Tracy (?) said it showed on my receipt that I was charged for only 12 miles. I asked her what caused the mix up & she said she didn’t know. I was very relieved the truth came out & I wasn’t charged 100’s of dollars for their mistake, but I still would like to know what happened. The whole ordeal really upset me & I worried about it all night, however I felt like Josh & the other guy at least believed me & they handled it very professionally & were very kind.

Finally I was told I had a unit ready and that I would receive a call when it was done being cleaned. 3 days went by, and I never received a call. I called the store and they said I didn’t have a reservation anymore because I never came back in to sign the contract. I stated that I was never told to come back in at any point, I was told I would receive a call when it was finished being cleaned and ready for me to move in. The lady on the phone sounded very irritated, and decided to hold it for me once again for a later date. I go in on that day, and they STILL had no reservation with my name. They had to now call the store manager who had me down. Once I finally was able to sign the contract, I was told my unit would have a lock and key. I got inside and there of course was no lock or key. I went back into the store and stood inside for 5-10 minutes waiting on somebody to come inside to help me. I told the person that they did not leave me a lock and key in my unit and she had no idea how to help me, and I once again was sent to somebody else. That person grabbed a new lock and key from the shelf and gave it to me and they both walked off without saying a word. Terrible service.

They made the situation we were in after selling my moms home and haven’t been able to find another house to move to, they just made everything simple and smooth. All the staff I came in contact with either phone, in person or even the young lady sweeping the halls by the units, were so friendly and pleasant. I will always refer or recommend this facility. I hope all Uhauls are like this one!

A GM shouldn’t ghost a customer.

It was great to go from almost 100 degree temps into an AC access from vehicle to storage space. Luxury! I knew my electronics were safe in the controlled environment since computers can react to moisture and extreme temps. When it comes to charges, it is a must to be as accurate as possible. I had to talk to UHAUL company reps to correct incorrect charges and refunds caused by the GM of this store. Everything got squared away, but it was a hassle. For my service on 9/1, that one went a lot smoother. It was definitely a smoother process than when I arrived initially. Although I would not use this location again, I will have to note that I was thankful to have received a climate controlled storage after my initial one was given away to someone else. Im just glad the entire process is over.

The facility was great - convenient (about a 5 minute drive to my daughter's new apartment), clean, free of critters, nice temp, well lit, and beyond spacious. I felt very safe leaving our daughter's belongings there. The rental fee was extremely reasonable and I liked all the selections of unit sizes. We will definitely use U-Haul every summer of her college years! So much better than "haul"ing all her stuff back and forth to Texas!

Pamela G | First ImpressionsEverything was fine with this location until I received an incorrect invoice. I was charged a wrong drop off location fee, a extra two day fee, and a coverage fee. All of these were incorrect. This was done by an associate there by the name of Zach. I dropped off my rental with the auto transport two days before due date at the correct location with more gas in the tank than when I received it. On top of this, I have to wait forever and a day to speak to a rep to resolve the charge for additional mileage. I was told at the time of reservation that it would only cost $0.40/additional mile. However, I have actually been charged $1.00/additional mile. Pretty exasperating experience. Thankfully, I was able to speak to Zach and he waived each fee except for the mileage fee. Now, I have to hope and pray that I speak to someone soon at UHAUL to get the mileage fee corrected. I may never use UHAUL again after this experience.

The next day I went to the U-Haul dealer, and Matthew, who was quite professional throughout this whole situation, indicated that instead of the 10x10 I ordered all they had was 25x5s. Today I went back to get a refund as this would not do. I again talked to Matthew, who was again very professional, and then to his boss Zachary. Zachary said the computer was made to indicate that the unit I wanted was available even if it was not. This is a classic bait and switch, which is highly illegal, and I am considering taking action with the state's attorneys general regarding this matter. Zachary, the general manager, did indicate that even though I 'moved in' last night, which I did not, I would in fact be getting a refund.

When I went back to the representative for assistance he called the store manager who refused to assist, snapped at me to get off the property that he can refuse service and told me if I did not leave he would call the police for trespassing, when I requested a refund I was told to call corporate that he wasn’t refunding me until they made him do so. Upon contacting corporate I was issued refund and never returned but have received emails and a phone call telling me my storage payment is due. This location does not treat people well nor do they apparently manage their units appropriately as they did not document that the unit I secured was not used and the contract voided.

Someone broke in and cleaned it out. It all started by my wife being watched by a couple of people while she was unloading our truck. So we are a bit touchy and suspicious. Just didn’t like turning around and seeing this two employees all the time.
