We had ordered moving blankets and they were not in the truck at pick up. We realized they were not in the truck after it was too late to turn around. We had to purchase the moving blankets from our storage facility. We had to pay $225 for the blankets vs the $20 uhaul rental fee.Hilary H.

I've actually been accused of stuff on several occasions when I have receipts for all of my paperwork and I even turned in all equipment early and in better condition that it was received by me. This is past ridiculous and will need a customer service representative to call me and figure out what can they further do to fix my case.CANDY M.

Employee Julian Hickey was very unhelpful, rude, and this location is losing much business due to this one individual. Will be using another location from now on due to his horrible unhelpful attitude. After waiting 40 minutes for Julian to finish with another customer (which multiple times asked Julian to help others first and to help clear out the many angry customers in the waiting area) to simply pick up a trailer I had already checked in online for, he was a horrible person to deal with in the process from the word go. So disappointed with our experience in Orlando. We could never get a hold of anyone at the specific location. They did not have a direct number!! We had questions and did not get answers. So frustrating . When we got to the location to pack our box, the service was horrible! We had to wait at least a half hour to even have someone tell us where to go. Someone eventually brought us our furniture packing blankets. When we were done packing our box there was NO ONE around to help us know what to do next. We weren't sure if we needed to check out before we leftâ€¦waited for an hour, finally went back to the office to talk to someone. Locations NEED to have direct numbers for customers!!! Our box arrived on time in Madison WI. The local call center in Madison was easy to contact, I talked to Heather who was very helpful. She checked to make sure our box was there, and changed our time to unpack our box and assured me that it was fine and would call back if something comes up. Unpacking the box in Madison was frustrating as well. The box was set up so the door was on the inside, should have been turned the other way to make it easier to load our vehicles . Someone came in about 15 minutes later and offered to change around the box but by that time we were almost done. Customer service was very slow, my husband waited at least 20 minutes to check out. Very poor customer service. Long check-in with no other customers in store. Car was scratched. We didn't yell or argue but had to ask attendant who was unresponsive. Kyle, asst Manager wasn't rude but lack recovery in situation. Attendant never apologized. Returned today and interacted with Alex, who didn't apologize for accident but deflected by saying he wasn't there and he didn't appreciate our attitude. He handed paperwork to us without explanation and dismissed us. We would have overlooked the scratch if #1) attendant would have acknowledged that she did it. Or #2) if manager had offered to comp the $20 rental. Now for that $20 rental we will repair the scratch at the expense of our time, and your cost and a poor review. This all stems from lack of customer service. Maybe if they had worked as a team and helped the attendant whom they knew (and admitted) was â€newâ€; the incident wouldn't have happened.RICHARD G.

I forgot my okley sunglasses on the dashboard in the truck at midnight then I called right away and told the customer service they left a message to the employees at the location, and I went the next day in the morning to see. The employees did not even make any effort to find the truck and they told me if they found it they will call me, but they never did. I showed them the photos where I put my glasses, but they did not even check. then I realized this store is not safe for any kind of missed belongings. that is sad. The customer service was not the best. When I picked up the equipment, there was a line so I got in line and waited. No problem. But the clerks were very slow. They did not move with urgency, like they had several people waiting. And they would stop and help customers that just walked up to them, instead of having them wait their turn in said line. This place needs organization badly. I waited a very long time to drop of a trailer I rented. I then had to follow a worker around the uhaul lot with the trailer so he could find a spot for me to back it in to. I should have been able to just drop of the trailer and leave not do the workers job for them. Also they charged me am extra 2 days of rental time when it was only 1 day late but the worker there did not understand anything so I just dealt with the extra charges he claimed just so I could get out of this nightmareANDREW SKYE N.

Drop off location is down a narrow alley next to a commercial building with tractor trailers going in and out. No room to maneuver. No staff was visible or present for assistance at drop off area even during normal business hours. Due to confusion at drop off accidentally left a toll pass in the truck. Customer service is very poor. Both account reps and service technicians need significant training or replaced. At or near the end of the month staffing should be at a peak. You know the business will be there, but staffing was inadequate and unprepared both inside and outside. I had to assist the service technician in lifting the 6'x 12' trailer onto my trucks hitch. Even with an online reservation I waiting for 35 minutes just to be greeted by staff who was upset and overburdened with my request. You might come sided s complete reset at this facility or sell it to a franchisee who actually is able to make the necessary changes. The really sad part is my experience and expectations at this facility are already low, and the current staff managed to underwhelm even that bar. I had rented my uhaul for one day. I brought the uhaul back on my scheduled return date. And then almost 2 weeks later I get a receipt charging me for $650 advising that I kept the uhaul for 11 extra days. This is false, seeing as I walked into the business on my scheduled return date and handed the keys to an employee. When I called to see what the problem was (and try and get a refund) the employee wasn't very helpful and said â€œwell there's no way this could've happenedâ€ and subtly implied that I was lying. They advised they refunded me the money, but I still don't understand how they had charged me for 11 extra days when I handed the key to an employee and the truck was sitting in their lot for almost 2 weeks.Leah D.
I rent a lot from this location but in the last few months I need to call to get my recpt emailed. Returned a truck yesterday afternoon. Never got an email again. Now I have to call, set on hold and take up everyone's time to get something done that should be and normal is automatic. What's going on there lately? Plus I've been renting here weekly for over a decade spending 10 of thousad8of dollars. The managers turn over is so quick lately they have no idea who their long time super customers are. Truck side view mirrors epoxied in place which made adjustments for safe use impossible. First tow dolly had a crushed fender pressing on the dolly's tire, and I had to ask for a replacement. Staff was helpful when asked.Adrian R.

I'm only giving this a 5 star because of Kyle! He was the only one working while his manager took off early for the day. This man had 20 people waiting in his lobby at one time all with different reasons and had a semi truck delivery that needed unloading. Never again....damage goods within one of my storages. I was storing a $10,000 snap-on toolbox among other tools and stuff that was in my garage before relocating...Due to covid 19, I became behind in payments. As we all know once payment is behind they cut your lock off and lock you out of your storage till you are up to date...My problem wasn't being locked out.....My problem started when I paid off my bill and decided to leave. When they cut my lock off, they went into the storage unit and cut across my toolbox with the cut off wheel they used to cut the lock. The other Dewalt stackable storage containers I had in there had signed of attempted forced entry.....never again will I use Uhaul storage.....customer support was great during the storage process and this situation is probably isolated to the individual location....but I refuse to ever go through that again. The current crew is excellent. I did complain about one staff person not wearing his mask and whistling as he walked towards me but I returned weekly for 3 weeks and never saw him again so maybe he's gone. In the Covid era it's never to safe. He wasn't speaking to me so he had no reason to whistle. I spoke to him under my mask but he never responded so I don't know his motives. I got there before closing was told that I couldn’t unload my U-Haul truck. Then i was promised someone would be there at 630 AM the next morning so I could unload my truck. The lady told me sje couldn’t find my reservation, so she took the time i could’ve been unloading the truck to find the reservation. She then tried to create a new one and told me I wasn’t charged until i showed her my banking app that showed the charge. A guy from the back (thank god) came out and had to show her how to use the software to find my reservation. He found where i had been charged and everything. Next morning i get there thinking all i needed was the black card she gave me, come to find out there’s a whole check in and check out process that she didn’t even tell me about. On top of all of that i was charged for a lock for the door. Then I speak with a new lady who’l told me we had access to our until until 10pm and that there shouldn’t have been an issue with us unloading the truck the night before when we got there before 7pm. Then I was told I couldn’t leave the U-Haul truck I rented from another LOCAL U-Haul Location because i didn’t get a certain type of U-Haul truck reservation and was told “i should’ve been told this when I made my reservation”.
