Only bad things 1. Gate being broke the whole time I used the storage 2. Moving my stuff out was annoying considering the lights near my unit were out and it was hard to see inside unit. Everything else was great the temp in my storage was great and the employees were nice.

Both employees in what seemed to be a bad mood or just hated their jobs. I was friendly and even cracked a joke and note even a smile it made me feel very uncomfortable. To top it off, I need to purchase an adapter and since the employee could not "scan" the first one he got a second, cheaper, one. The next morning we are schedule to leave and the lights were not working. We headed back to store and the employee was adamant it was my vehicle. After all, it was the adapter that was not adequate for my vehicle. After being 2 hours off our scheduled course, he tells me I need to pay the $2.00 difference. I, of course frustrated and upset at this time, stated, "really!" He stated angrily that he "just could not give it to me for FREE" Umm, I did pay for the first one and it was not my fault that the ADEQUATE adapter would not scan and he put the other one on my car. It is his job to know which ones are adequate for which vehicle. I just keep thinking, what if we did realize the lights were not working and we had an accident or got a ticket. They have no customer service skills and didnt even apologize for the situation, just seemed annoyed that they had to do their job.

More help with instructions on how to use equipment. I had to ask for the little instructions that I received. It still went wrong in using it. It cost me a lot of time and distress even after friends came to help me. When pushing the car on to the tow trailer caution user that it can go over the slot where the tires are supposed to rest. We had a very hard time getting vehicle off. It took 3 men 2 Jacks and serval wood blocs to get vehicle back over front stop. It would have been cheaper to get a tow truck.

The air conditioning was not working. It was like driving in a sauna. Driving in the middle of the day in south Texas, in the summer had to be one of the worst and most difficult driving experiences.

The truck was low on both engine oil and transmission fluid, I discovered the low transmission fluid after the truck was shifting erratically. The problem subsided for the rest rest of the first day, but upon hitting traffic in TN on the second day, of our four day trip, the transmission kept shifting hard and placing itself in the “Allison default mode”which limits the transmission to drive only. I was able to reset this condition after restarting, but it was a terrible experience in traffic and added a great deal of stress to the already stressful situation of a 1400 mile military move, my schedule is very stringent and thankfully the truck delivered, but I am very disappointed in the overall mechanical condition of that vehicle. I have used U-Haul for my last 4 moves and I will be transferring again next year, but I am strongly considering utilizing another company for my moving equipment needs. On the contrary, the customer service and friendliness of the staff is great, and that I really appreciate.

This is not the first time I have used this particular U-Haul location and you are always greeted by bright energetic people who are happy to take the time to get you exactly what you need. They never (ever) try to oversell you. You can tell that these guys work hard for their paychecks because they are nearly always multi-tasking and on the move. But as I stated above they are very much focused on the customer so they always immediately stop what they are doing to help a person that catches their eye. What a rare and refreshing experience these days, I don't rate 5 stars unless your business is above and beyond, every employee at this Corpus Christi location should be recognized for their efforts.

Very inattentive staff. Lackadaisical and unwilling to help. I had an appointment to have a hitch installed, which I initially cancelled because they said they couldn’t do it on the day I had my appointment. I brought it back the next day, and it took the over 8 hours to install a hitch on my vehicle. Terrible staff and service.

they install the wrong hitch on my Cherokee trailhawk .it was for a different model and now told me it could not be taken off and I will just live with it and the general manager is not around and will not return emails or phone calls. I was never told it could not taken off once installed very unhappy since the car is a 2019 only 3 months old. I have turned this case over to my lawyer. I didn't want to go that course but, I feel I have no other choice.

The truck was in good condition and the employees were friendly, however I was given a truck that had had approximately 1/4 fuel in the tank which wasn’t even enough to make the initial trip. I had to put fuel just to leave the area I picked it up in and then fuel again after the use of the truck. I also had to remind an employee of the dolly before I left so I didn’t get charged for it missing. The truck wasn’t equipped with it even thou I ordered it in advance. My only suggestion would be to better monitor and maintain the fuel. Especially for someone that reserved a truck for out of town use. Also I feel this small truck was very expensive for just 40 miles use. I paid $130. In town use for the same mileage in Corpus Christi was $29 for the same truck.

The equipment wasn’t the problem. I asked if I had to take the dolly with me because I was on able to fit it in the trailer and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to fit it in the trailer they had no issues when I asked that before taking the item. Once I had another member of my family drop off the actual Dolly, the representative told my family that we needed to take the item to Colorado. Why would I need to take it if I could just return it the next morning after renting the trailer???

Extremely inefficient at ckeck-in's and check-out's of equipment by person's handling rental contracts as well as inspecting, connecting and disconnecting equipment leaving long line of customers standing in store and no one handling administrative functions. Should have a lot person handling equipment and administrative people handling equipment rental contracts.

Get more staffing. Location doesn’t have enough help to cover customer demands. 5 minutes after I had picked up the box truck I heard a squeaking noise and the the a/c went out. I called the location directly and was on hold for over 25 minutes knowone ever andwered the phone. So I called the cust service #?listed on the rental agreement waited another 40 minutes still knowone answered that call either. So I then drove back to the store to see if I could exchange it because it almost a 100 degrees outside and I had to dive a 200 miles and they told me to get in line to be waited on because the didn’t know if they had another rental truck to give me by this time their were about 20 people in line and I didn’t have that kind of time to be waited on! I had hired help with me I was paying 2 guys 20 bucks an hour and I had already wasted 2 hour which was 40$ out of my pocket plus at .99 cents a mile I had to drive back to the store which also cost me 25$ so right there I’m already down 65.00$’s I was very upset and couldn’t wait in that long line so I kept the truck when I returned it again and spoke to 1 of your agents about my issues she said it didn’t matter about the A/c and that I shoulda called the road side assistance! All that she could do for me is give a 10.00 discount! I just bought my 1st new home and was moving in that day and it was supposed to be an exciting day but it was ruined by your company as it put me over 3 hours behind I moving and was very costly to me to say the least! I hope this helps with the next customer that uses u-haul’ rental service as I will never go back there again!!!!!!! Worst experience of my life renting a moving truck hands down bar none!!!!!

Pleasantly surprised with the level of service, especially at the pickup desk. Much better than 3 years ago when we used U-Haul moving from San Antonio to Corpus Christi. Didn’t even get out of SA before blowing a tire and had to wait for 3 hours for roadside service. Thanks for the much improved service.

This truck should not have been rented out! Truck was clean but one we were loaded and n the road the truck vibrated so badly we could not go over 55 on a 75 mph highway! It too ya 4 hours to make a 2.5 hour trip! The front driver tire was literally bouncing up and down causing the vibration. The truck continually with veered to the right as well the whole trip. This was a 26 ft truck fully loaded truck! I still can’t believe the previous renter would not have told someone at U-Haul about this! This truck has no business on the road!

We had a few problems with this location. Our original reservation was accidentally refunded, so we had to set up a new rental over the phone after we'd already picked up the truck. The person who helped us over the phone was very apologetic. We were told that everything was taken care of, we were given an extra day and an extra 100 miles on our rental for the hassle. The next day, we were called again and asked to give them the equipment number of the auto transport we had, because they didn't have that information in their system, despite us having a contract that was printed off their computer with all that information. Everyone we talked to was nice and friendly, but it was by no means an easy transaction overall.

The guy who gave me the keys to the truck was rude. Told me I couldn't leave my car there to use the uhaul to move my stuff. I'm from Washington, I was alone to pick up the truck and had guys waiting for me at my place to unload. (These guys were from moving help and I was paying them to load/unload). He told me I would have to get someone to pick up my car because I couldn't leave it there. Then complained he had to park way in the back. I had to move my car to another parking lot next to the uhaul site and then go meet the guys. This was all after I called in the morning to move up my pickup time and was told the site on Rodd Field was open at 7am, only to find out it wasn't. I had to call two different numbers to find out where I could get a truck, all this while my guys were waiting. The guy who actually checked in the truck that I brought back early was very nice. I have used Uhaul several times in the past and this was the worst experience I've ever had. I have move from Washington to Minnesota, then back to Washington and now to Texas. I would never use that location again. Spent thousands there, not impressed with that guys attitude!!
