This location is the only one I choose to use if I have the option. But this last rental was new for me. The young man I dealt with almost made me leave. He is the only person that I have ever seen at that location that didnt have a smile on his face and no customer service skills. I will go back but I will leave if it is necessary to be handled by him again. Unfortunately he wasnt wearing a name tag or his name would be in the report as well.

Lights don’t come on until you’re halfway down the corridor. They use the same reasons for increasing the rental price every year, but nothing has change. It’s literally the same email sent out with only the new price typed in. Not worth what they charge.

I've used this location before. My original location could not get a rental in time, so the owner drove me over here to pick up the truck I needed on time. Staff was accommodating, courteous, and profession and the truck was in excellent shape.

The only improvement that you need to do is ask the customer if they need a lift on the back of the truck that way they don’t have a problem climbing into it. That was the only downfall for our truck not having that and us not knowing to ask if it did.

The service I received from U-Haul roadside assistance was nothing less than terrible. I had to call roadside assistance multiple times due to a faulty cable on the roll-up rear door that had come off the spool and become tangled around the shaft, preventing the door from closing. This happened when the truck was approximately ¾ full. I called U-Haul roadside assistance and had the worst customer service experience. This included two inept technicians and extremely unsafe recommendations by the roadside assistance supervisor, Patty, which if followed, could have resulted in injury or death.
The first contractor that was sent out clearly did not know what he was doing. As it was dark, I turned the truck on along with the cargo light so he could see to work. I also left the driver’s side window down to prevent the keys from being locked in the truck. After about two hours, I went out to check on him and he just left—with the keys in the ignition, truck running, and the window down. He did not let me know he was leaving and when I called him, he said another technician was on their way out because he could not fix it. I called U-Haul who told me they had no idea he left and that no other technician was on the way. I was on the phone with U-Haul until 1 am at which point I was told that no contractor would be out until the morning.
In the morning, I was told a contractor was on the way. When the time passed for him to arrive, I again contacted roadside service who assured me he was on the way. When he showed up, he was older than Methusela and, again, clearly could not fix the problem with the door. His solution was to cut the cable and let the door remain shut.
I again called U-Haul roadside assistance and they told me that when I wanted to unload they could send someone out to help me open the door, as it is too heavy to lift with one person. The supervisor I spoke to, Patty, then told me to do something blatantly unsafe—she told me that when opened, I should prop the door open with a board or broom. This was very dangerous—if I had done that and the door had fallen, it could have trapped someone in the truck, caused someone to be paralyzed, or possibly resulted in death. This was an incredibly unsafe solution to a problem U-Haul should have solved on site. The total time from when I first called roadside assistance to loading a new truck in the parking lot was approximately 16 ½ hours.
I finally had to drive the truck to the U-Haul location and do an offload of a ¾ full truck into another truck in the parking lot. No U-Haul representatives provided any assistance. Prior to this, a U-Haul employee attempted to open the door and was unable to by himself. I lended assistance and he dropped the door without telling me. The door nearly crushed my hand and certainly would have had there not been a small block of wood that happened to be under the door that prevented the door from crushing my hand.
A few days later, I could not find the keys. With much trepidation, I called U-Haul roadside service around 7 pm. They could not get a contractor out until 8 am the following morning. I called a locksmith and had them there in 45 minutes. I had to leave early the next morning and did not have the time to wait on another incompetent contractor.
U-Haul roadside assistance is completely unsatisfactory. People moving are under a severe time crunch and the fact that I had to wait 16 ½ hours to get a problem “fixed” is beyond poor. The solution offered no assistance from U-Haul and required me to unload one truck and load another in a parking lot. This was after a roadside assistance supervisor recommend the very unsafe action of propping up the extremely heave roll-up door. The technicians are clearly incompetent. This was followed by nearly having my hand crushed when a U-Haul employee dropped the door without notice.
I was offered a mere 20% discount for all of these troubles, an insulting pittance considering everything I went through. U-Haul should refund the entirety of my purchase not only for the extreme inconvenience but for advising my family and I to do something incredibly unsafe, multiple actions that could have resulted in injury or death.

The truck that we rented was clean & very easy to drive. It has good power & was ablbe to maintain speeds going uphill, even with the car transport attached,
The car transport, on the other hand was dirty and the ratchets that hold the front wheels to the trailer were rusty and difficult to tighten & remove, even after I pointed it out & the sales person lubricated them. The car transport blew up a tire west of Plains TX on hiway 380. due to some mix-ups withthe system, the repair personal took more than 3 hours to arrive with a new tire. However, the tire was not mounted on a rim, so the service man had to remove the old tire from the rim & install the replacement tire on the old rim. Fortuneatly the rim was not damaged and the repair was able to be completed on the side of the road with cars and trucks whizzing by at 75 MPH with 50 MPH cross winds. We were back on the road 4.5 hours after contacting U-Haul for service. We were thankful to be back on the road before darkness.

I emailed the GM (from email I was sent with a link to do that)-NO RESPONSE, had not used Uhaul in 7 years gone way down equipment-wise, website issues, call center issues, what was shown on website was not what transpired when I actually got to the location, the equipment I wanted to rent was “just rented the last one” was the response I got. I had and issue with the truck when I called the location for help, I was hung up on by one of the employees. There is plenty of competition out there REMEMBER THAT! And change the paper form with the gas gauge level it doesn’t match the actual gas gauge in the equipment🙄

One day I was moving stuff around in my storage, so I had to put a few things in the hall way and my door was open but. I admit a few of my things were blocking the hall way. Mind you there was nobody else in the facility. But I guess some contracting help needed to use the restroom. And instead of asking me to move my stuff or anything he goes to the office to complain I’m assuming. So what happens a dark skinned lady with curly hair comes and yells at me that “You Can’t Be Blocking The Hall Way Like That !! There Needs To Be Room To Walk!!” I understand I told her but there was no need to make a big scene yelling from the office door way. Pretty much disrespectful at the most in front of customers also.
Also the air conditioning needs to be looked at because that little wall ac cannot cool all those rooms. That’s not what I paid for

Moving from New Mexico to Corpus Christi. Apartment lease agreement went soured. UHaul staffs at both facilities (dropoff and storage) on SPI DR highway were extremely helpful and understanding. They found ways to help us by providing us temperature controlled storages for our belongings for free. They were very helpful and nice. I have used UHaul before. These staffs went beyond to help us. 1. Train staff to keep AGE of customer in mind. We’re 73 assigning #101 caused inconvenience walking extra feet! My husband uses a cane. Though we still walk - doing work while walking is best to keep distance short!! I was shown the map . Though it showed it on the corner & being the first “I didn’t think to take the entrance door into consideration!
2.Light inside the unit would help tremendously!!
3. Staff - Talk to each other! I set up storage. The staff lady said she’d leave the “ clicker under cabinet”due to my daughter & son in-law were driving in the 27ft U-Haul truck to drop off some items from out of town.
When my daughter arrived first staff lady was not around & no one knew anything about it!! No clicker was given to her!! The following day I drove by there & the staff member looked under the counter & THERE IT WAS!! Mush easier to enter w truck!
We will continue using U-Haul.we’re not done moving. Hopefully one more truck load! We’re learning as we go. It would help if staff were more in tuned to what a customer needs to make the moving easier & less stressful!

Very bad experience half of my belongings were damaged. The storage unit ,, had water damage and I was never told about an insurance when I rented the unit. The manager Joe. Was a worst experience I ever had with him he is rude he doesn’t introduce himself he always has a mad face staff is not friendly. I am going to call someone else to report this. During the summer times the air conditioning facility was always hot. Never got compensated for those months that it was hot. The air conditioning building next to the office was cold. I called numerous times and spoke with a rude lady that stated the facility would get air conditioning fixed; it was hot for 3 months. I moved out on Monday, 01/22/2024, I have the receipt.

The price for a 10 x 10 storage was not resealable. I was able to find a storage 12 x 30 for just $10 a month more than your storage. Maybe you should do some research around town to better compete with the competition.

John Paz was an excellent person to work with. Helpful and efficient. Took care of all of our needs, including walking to the back of the storage lot to make sure we found the right area for our rV and got it in properly. We mentioned to him that there was some garbage collecting at the back of the property, and when we returned a few days later, the whole back lot was clean and neat. Storage was easy; and returning the key fob was easy.

Had my things in storage for less than a year and had 2 rate increases and the facility was the same, no changes, my storage unit remained the exact same, no add ons. No lights added, no new paint, building remained the same. I always paid my rent on time.

The 2 women working that day were very RUDE and hateful, not friendly. They were very mean.
I walk out and left. I’ll never forget this experience.
Arrived in town and got treated like trash.
They seem very comfortable acting in this behavior.
I was really tired of driving 19 hours from Kentucky and to get treated like this it’s awful. Cg

Our move-out was a disaster. We were not given the dollies i rented and the truck not clean.(San Antonio Valley-Hi) Our movers in corpus were horrible. Left us before the job was completed, were standoffish, confrontational and lied about the condition of our storage unit. They didn’t have masks on when they arrived-despite a staff member having covid. Two teenagers with no experience or people skills. Our house looks like a bomb went off. Hoping we are not exposed to covid as one refused to wear his mask appropriately. Please fire Guardian Services. Very pleased with Uhaul and its staff. Move out paperwork was a breeze and they were soooo nice!!!!

From the time we moved our trailer off the lot and turned in clicker I had to spend 2+ hours on the phone each week when I was sent a late notice bill wanting me to keep paying rent. The late fees and lien threats were obnoxious when each week I called I was told the account was closed and owed nothing to just get larger late fees the following week. Never could reach local store directly always had corporate even after calling local store.

Online was more helpful than in person experience. I saw online available units and had Walked around seeing the storage unit first hand and when I went to speak to the u-haul sales person I was told they were a full capacity. But over all I did walk there the first time just to be told that. Then I just went home booked it online the lady recognizing said we're at full capacity, so I then told the other sales person my recipe and informed them online has them available. Just to inform them not to turn down potential income for the company they represent.

Young kid who worked on Saturday was not at all friendly or even very competent in his duties. He spent too much time on the premises and not in the office helping customers and he told me that my storage unit was way in the back several buildings over and I walked there in the pouring rain while he drove the rental truck that I just rented so he would stay dry and he didn’t even offer me a ride in the rain. My storage unit was actually 300 feet from the front desk and inside and dry. He wasn’t aware of its location in the least but sent me on.a wet search and he wasn’t apologetic for his lack of knowledge or help while I got drenched, unnecessarily.

When I try to call the facility, no one ever answers. I was on hold for over 20 minutes while driving TO the place for the first time - to confirm I had a reservation. When I arrived, there were three people behind the counter, two of them were NOT on the phone. Why didn't they answer? That's kind of a pain.

I had items in the Uhaul facility for about nine months. I got behind on my payments. I went to talk to the management. They gave me a payoff amount and said that when I pay this, my debt is paid.
Months later, I received a notice saying that I still owed money. I went to talk to them, and the manager agreed that I was now in debt to Uhaul again. He said it was because I left a dresser in the unit. I told him that I did not have a vehicle large enough to remove the dresser. Also, when I paid my debt and was told I was clear, the manager at that time DID NOT say I had to remove every single item. I only left one item, the dresser.
Now, the manager has put a lean against my name. This is wrong. I was told that I was in the clear.
I do not feel I should have to pay this money when we signed saying I was out of debt.

Storage facility was extremely dirty as were the restrooms in the office area. Most staff members have an attitude. I would only recommend this uhaul storage if it had a complete makeover to include staff both for attitude and for customer association.
