Made my reservation in advance only to have it changed about 12h prior to a different pick up location which was much further away. Got to the new location and the truck assigned to me wasn’t there. Spent another half hour for them to assign me another vehicle, tell me they actually didn’t have the dollys I also reserved. By the time I got the truck and got all the way across town my movers had already been waiting so not only did I have to rent dollys elsewhere because what I reserved they didn’t have, I also had to extend with my movers for another hour. I wasn’t reimbursed for the equipment they didn’t have for me, I had to pay $1+/mile for everything over and when returning the truck I found out I had to go all the way back across town to drop off at the pickup location because they changed that as well. When you move it’s stressful, trust me, you do not want the extra stress and expense using Uhaul.

I rented a truck for two days for in town moving. On the second day when I went out to the truck it was making a loud noice and the cabin smelled like gasoline. I called and told them the problem and they told me to drive it back to get a new truck. I told them I did not feel comfortable driving the truck anymore. So, I had to wait an hour for them to bring me another truck. This delayed me in my moving so I then had to pay for another day. I don't think it is fair that I had to pay for another day because it was not my fault I had a delay in my moving.

At the drop off in Donna, the attendant said the trailer was dirty and asked if I would like to clean it out. I said sure, but I have no broom. He brought one and I swept it out. When I finished, I handed him the broom and he went into the trailer sweeping it out again. He swept out very little debris and said “like the old saying, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.” I was quite offended at his rudeness. This was at Alan’s Diesel Service.

I called this location the morning of my drop off, several hours before the truck was due back. I told them I would not be able to make the time it was supposed to be dropped off. The representative I spoke to was very nice and said if I could have it back by two pm there wouldn’t be a charge for another day. I returned the truck before 1:30, waited at the sign that says stay with your equipment. I could see the gentleman wondering around looking at his phone. After 10 minutes of waiting I went and asked him if he could check the truck in. I explained the situation to him, he said no problem, I would receive an email later. When I finally checked my email I had been charged for another day.

The engine did not sound good. They didn't walk me around the truck to talk about damage before I took it. There was damage. I drive 30 miles. I put in over 4 gallons of gas and they still charged me for gas. They also charged 3x more than I agreed to for insurance. Not the best deal around for sure. The people were ok though.

Truck drove very poorly, and the front tire was flat. Had to spend an hour trying to get air in tire on a holiday or wait over an hour for Uhaul roadside. When returned they said "well nothing we can do about it". No offer of refund or discount or anything. Just the level of customer service we should all expect now I guess

No financial consideration/refund was given to me for the fact that the truck had an additional quarter of fuel than when it was given to me, or the fact that I brought the truck back a day early. I did not need free storage. The location is convenient, though.

One day I was moving stuff around in my storage, so I had to put a few things in the hall way and my door was open but. I admit a few of my things were blocking the hall way. Mind you there was nobody else in the facility. But I guess some contracting help needed to use the restroom. And instead of asking me to move my stuff or anything he goes to the office to complain I’m assuming. So what happens a dark skinned lady with curly hair comes and yells at me that “You Can’t Be Blocking The Hall Way Like That !! There Needs To Be Room To Walk!!” I understand I told her but there was no need to make a big scene yelling from the office door way. Pretty much disrespectful at the most in front of customers also.
Also the air conditioning needs to be looked at because that little wall ac cannot cool all those rooms. That’s not what I paid for

Moving from New Mexico to Corpus Christi. Apartment lease agreement went soured. UHaul staffs at both facilities (dropoff and storage) on SPI DR highway were extremely helpful and understanding. They found ways to help us by providing us temperature controlled storages for our belongings for free. They were very helpful and nice. I have used UHaul before. These staffs went beyond to help us. 1. Train staff to keep AGE of customer in mind. We’re 73 assigning #101 caused inconvenience walking extra feet! My husband uses a cane. Though we still walk - doing work while walking is best to keep distance short!! I was shown the map . Though it showed it on the corner & being the first “I didn’t think to take the entrance door into consideration!
2.Light inside the unit would help tremendously!!
3. Staff - Talk to each other! I set up storage. The staff lady said she’d leave the “ clicker under cabinet”due to my daughter & son in-law were driving in the 27ft U-Haul truck to drop off some items from out of town.
When my daughter arrived first staff lady was not around & no one knew anything about it!! No clicker was given to her!! The following day I drove by there & the staff member looked under the counter & THERE IT WAS!! Mush easier to enter w truck!
We will continue using U-Haul.we’re not done moving. Hopefully one more truck load! We’re learning as we go. It would help if staff were more in tuned to what a customer needs to make the moving easier & less stressful!

Very bad experience half of my belongings were damaged. The storage unit ,, had water damage and I was never told about an insurance when I rented the unit. The manager Joe. Was a worst experience I ever had with him he is rude he doesn’t introduce himself he always has a mad face staff is not friendly. I am going to call someone else to report this. During the summer times the air conditioning facility was always hot. Never got compensated for those months that it was hot. The air conditioning building next to the office was cold. I called numerous times and spoke with a rude lady that stated the facility would get air conditioning fixed; it was hot for 3 months. I moved out on Monday, 01/22/2024, I have the receipt.

The price for a 10 x 10 storage was not resealable. I was able to find a storage 12 x 30 for just $10 a month more than your storage. Maybe you should do some research around town to better compete with the competition.

John Paz was an excellent person to work with. Helpful and efficient. Took care of all of our needs, including walking to the back of the storage lot to make sure we found the right area for our rV and got it in properly. We mentioned to him that there was some garbage collecting at the back of the property, and when we returned a few days later, the whole back lot was clean and neat. Storage was easy; and returning the key fob was easy.

The 2 women working that day were very RUDE and hateful, not friendly. They were very mean.
I walk out and left. I’ll never forget this experience.
Arrived in town and got treated like trash.
They seem very comfortable acting in this behavior.
I was really tired of driving 19 hours from Kentucky and to get treated like this it’s awful. Cg

Our move-out was a disaster. We were not given the dollies i rented and the truck not clean.(San Antonio Valley-Hi) Our movers in corpus were horrible. Left us before the job was completed, were standoffish, confrontational and lied about the condition of our storage unit. They didn’t have masks on when they arrived-despite a staff member having covid. Two teenagers with no experience or people skills. Our house looks like a bomb went off. Hoping we are not exposed to covid as one refused to wear his mask appropriately. Please fire Guardian Services. Very pleased with Uhaul and its staff. Move out paperwork was a breeze and they were soooo nice!!!!

From the time we moved our trailer off the lot and turned in clicker I had to spend 2+ hours on the phone each week when I was sent a late notice bill wanting me to keep paying rent. The late fees and lien threats were obnoxious when each week I called I was told the account was closed and owed nothing to just get larger late fees the following week. Never could reach local store directly always had corporate even after calling local store.

Online was more helpful than in person experience. I saw online available units and had Walked around seeing the storage unit first hand and when I went to speak to the u-haul sales person I was told they were a full capacity. But over all I did walk there the first time just to be told that. Then I just went home booked it online the lady recognizing said we're at full capacity, so I then told the other sales person my recipe and informed them online has them available. Just to inform them not to turn down potential income for the company they represent.

Young kid who worked on Saturday was not at all friendly or even very competent in his duties. He spent too much time on the premises and not in the office helping customers and he told me that my storage unit was way in the back several buildings over and I walked there in the pouring rain while he drove the rental truck that I just rented so he would stay dry and he didn’t even offer me a ride in the rain. My storage unit was actually 300 feet from the front desk and inside and dry. He wasn’t aware of its location in the least but sent me on.a wet search and he wasn’t apologetic for his lack of knowledge or help while I got drenched, unnecessarily.

When I try to call the facility, no one ever answers. I was on hold for over 20 minutes while driving TO the place for the first time - to confirm I had a reservation. When I arrived, there were three people behind the counter, two of them were NOT on the phone. Why didn't they answer? That's kind of a pain.

I had items in the Uhaul facility for about nine months. I got behind on my payments. I went to talk to the management. They gave me a payoff amount and said that when I pay this, my debt is paid.
Months later, I received a notice saying that I still owed money. I went to talk to them, and the manager agreed that I was now in debt to Uhaul again. He said it was because I left a dresser in the unit. I told him that I did not have a vehicle large enough to remove the dresser. Also, when I paid my debt and was told I was clear, the manager at that time DID NOT say I had to remove every single item. I only left one item, the dresser.
Now, the manager has put a lean against my name. This is wrong. I was told that I was in the clear.
I do not feel I should have to pay this money when we signed saying I was out of debt.

Storage facility was extremely dirty as were the restrooms in the office area. Most staff members have an attitude. I would only recommend this uhaul storage if it had a complete makeover to include staff both for attitude and for customer association.
