We were in the truck, asked if we were ready to go. The attendant outside told us “Not yet, I have to check the mileage and fuel.” About 20 minutes later, we were STILL waiting for the all set. We had to go inside to find the guy, and he said “yeah you’re good now.” Would have been nice had he told us this outside, 20 minutes prior. I did the online check in for fast service, we still didn’t get out of there for 45 minutes after our pickup time.

Was all signed in quickly and when I went to pick up my truck, the customer before me had left with my truck so I had to go back in and start check in process from beginning!!! 3 guys working outside and no one was watching couple take wrong vehicle.

I got accused of not returning equipment after they forgot to sign me out. horrible. then they call to find out what happen to it. seriously. get your act together and stop talking shit at the counter as if the customers care about your personal issues.

Stood in line over 25 minutes just to drop my keys off for a schedule and paid in advance hitch install. Took over three hours to install. Waited 20 minutes in line to purchase a $2.98 receiver plug. After the job was completed had to wait in line again for over 20 minutes to get my key and receipt. Only one customer at the counter but only one person behind the counter. Will definitely not come back.

The employees are excellent. The only difficulty I had this time (as it was after hours) was checking out- the app was difficult to maneuver. I called and waited too long, yet, the representative was excellent. I would recommend this location to all of my friends.

This was my worst experience ever with your call center!!!!! I tried calling the MHT location directly and kept getting the call center. I hung up on the first woman because she insisted my car could not be towed. Then I called back and got Stephanie -she made my reservation but when I got the reservation confirm, it was for a 10ft truck AND the auto transport (and this was after I gave her my truck details!) m So I had to call back and the woman who answered got the truck off but then put me in to the phone queue (without saying a word) when I asked her to confirm the information in my reservation again. Then I got Rita, who said I needed traffic permission to tow and passed me to Sarah. Sarah told me that I had been misquoted on my reservation (which I had reserved to pick up in Manchester NH and drop off in Tilton NH for $59.00) it was actually going to be $568.00! So I said forget it, I would return to Manchester and that no one there knew what they were doing-and she hung up on me. So over the course of 2 hours, I spoke to 5 women at your call center-who asked me the same questions each time regarding my reservation, towing vehicle, etc. (which should have been inputted with my initial reservation ) who all gave me inaccurate information and were rude because I was angry and frustrated with the situation and I reflected it in my attitude. I gave UHAUL a second chance because Bryan Boilard had been so great at drop off the day before. I have never heard of anyone having this kind of experience with UHAUL but that's 2 bad experiences in 2 days for me. I will not be using or recommending UHAUL again.

Your reservation center booked my request for 3 days-26ft truck. I get a call a couple days prior to pickup and told I can't get it for 3 days maybe 2. So I have to get the 20ft for 3 days. The woman at the desk tries to assign 3 trucks and finally I go out and the lot person can't find the truck I am supposed to be taking. It took 3 trips instead of 2 for me to move. the only excellent employee was Bryan Boilard. He was very understanding and sympathetic to my situation when I returned the truck-he was the one bright spot!

First...you need a 'Maybe' option instead of just yes or no because there is a huge gray area for both questions. The 'photo' check for X's on the vehicle is a joke since it comes on my iphone which is way to small to see where your x's are. And even with your 'online express' pickup i still had to go inside and it took way too long for express. I was just lucky this time as there was no one in line in front of me. You have the right ideas but poor implementation.

Originally booked online and was supposed to pick up in Londonderry , but got a message that it needed to change to Manchester due to lack of trucks. The rate that I was quoted online was 114 total including insurance and it went up when they changed the pick up spot but the girl was nice enough to adjust it for me. Very nice staff at the Manchester location but if you quote something online, it shouldn’t change- which they agreed with...also not sure why I put in for Londonderry and had to drive to Manchester.

Bryan was very helpful after my 7:30am self-check in reservation was somehow converted to a 9am pickup when they opened. He arrived at 8am to open the store and helped expedite my reservation after it was somehow botched. 0 stars for the self-check in process since I was never told it was changed until I tried to check in that morning and 5 stars for Bryan for helping me out.

Service was excellent, got there at 7:30 to pick up, there were two people ahead of me but it went quickly. When I told the service person the distance I would be driving, he put me in a newer truck to ensure there wouldn't be any issues with the vehicle -- checking back in was quick. Overall great experience.

The pathway to leave was clogged with other U-Haul vehicles waiting to be picked up as well as cars lined up to get their propane tanks filled - as a result the exit to your facility was totally blocked and we ended up sitting in our rental van for 10 minutes waiting for the staff to clear a path for us to leave. You may want to look into setting up a different system to prevent this in the future.

This was our second time renting a trailer from this U-Haul location. We did check-in ahead of time and were in and out quickly 20 minutes to get out with trailer hooked up and an even speedier return of the trailer at the end of the day.

While I was very pleased with the 24/7 pick-up system and the quality of the truck, I did have a couple issues. The back of the truck hadn't been swept out before I got it and all the 24/7 spots were were filled with privately owned vehicles when I was trying to return the vehicle. Other than that, it was good.

The staff at south Williow st location are great. We have rented there many times. The only incident I had was a very angry lady screaming in the parking lot at me as I was trying to get checked out. Turned out she was from the regional office. She needs customer service training.

I just had a really tough long move in multiple parts and these guys and gals are A CLASS ACT. My move went more smoothly than I could have dreamed, and its because these folks had me prepared, informed, and ready, all the supplies, the truck, how to load it and drive it--I did it, and I did it well because of the amazing people that work at Manchester U-Haul.

Everything was clean and ready for me. The only "complaint" that I have is that I drove only 22 miles but It took 10 gal of gas for me to get the needle back to 'full'. Either the truck gets about 2.2 mpg or it was not full when i took it even though the needle was pointing toward full

There were only two people working the check in desk on a Sat morning of a holiday weekend. Even though I checked in online, we still waited 30 minutes to get our truck, and there were only 4 people in front of me and 17 behind me. Other than that the experience was fantastic

I prechecked in online but when I arrived tech had to do it all over again? What gives with that? why did I waste my time doing everything in advance? I was not comfortable with tech using her smartphone to take a picture of my drivers license. She assured me it was NOT stored on her phone but I don't believe it.

Upon picking up the trailer rental, the lights doesn't work and had to change trailers and redo the contract. Upon dropping off the rental, they couldn't process my credit and had to change to a different card. It is never a smooth experience.

I was charged for two extra days of rental. I call to get this corrected and I get a call center that cant even look up the contract number or my phone number. I am 25 min into the call at this point. This is the worst customer service I have ever experianced as a consumer. I have rented more than 15 trailers and every single time there has been an issue of some sort. Every single time the customer service is atrocious.

First they changed my pick up location without telling me. I had logged onto the porthole to add an extra day I would need the truck and noticed the location changed. When I called they said it changed due to a health issue with the person at the other location, which is understandable, but I Told them we needed the truck thursday to move out untill saturday when we move in and they said we can drop the truck off any time saturday and it wasn't a problem. I said it says online sunday and I don't need it until sunday and she said I would not be charged for sunday if i returned it saturday. Then the pick up location calls us saturday at 8 am telling us we will be charged an extra day because he states it had to be dropped back off at 8am. Even after telling him we spoke to someone who knew we needed the truck for saturday he said they were going to charge us for sunday! I even have a photo of an online chat conversation that also said we would not be charged an extra day if we dropped it off saturday and no one ever said a specific time. (Two people online+phone) stated we would not be charged sunday if we brought it back saturday which we did, yet they charged us.

I received the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas. This created a hassle for me because 1/4 tank wasn't enough to complete my move but I couldn't put a lot of gas in the truck because I didn't want to exceed the amount I was given at the time of my rental. An employee explained that the previous customer brought the truck back below the outgoing level for that rental. I asked if U-Haul would ever fill the tank when this happens because it's unfair to the next renter. The employee answered "no". So, I encourage U-Haul to re-think this policy, again, because it places an undue hardship on the current renter who just wants to get about the business of moving without having to worry about managing around a meager amount of fuel. A possible solution to this problem is for U-Haul to allow the renter to fill the tank *above* the outgoing level and reimburse the customer for the additional fuel, provided the customer presents the fuel receipt. The customer would simply need to record the $ amount at the required refill point, then record the total amount. U-Haul reimburses the difference. In fact, U-Haul already has a terrific camera feature built into it's app. They could certainly capture one more photo for fuel reimbursement data. This wouldn't place too much of a burden on the current renter and would improve customer satisfaction on the next outgoing rental.

More people working in the return area when people are returning trucks. There were three lines all the way out of the parking lot and only 1 person doing the job. He was great but overwhelmed. Also, the truck had a dolly that was supposed to have a plastic clip so they can charge if it was used, mine never had that clip to begin with.

The people checking trucks were backed up which is understandable. A lady came out to let us know about the wait and stated we could leave the keys in the truck and we were all set, she was not wearing anything to identify her (company shirt or badge) as a uhaul personnel which was confusing.

I had 2 rentals in the last 3 days. The 1st one trailer plug in didn't work found out that the fuses where blown and it has happened before. 2nd rental I ordered a pickup found place I ordered from didn't have one but other location did made sure to say I needed the 7 point circle plug for the trailer, they said no problem they have it. Got there they didn't. The staff was friendly and tried to help only thing they could do was give me a 10 ft box truck. But with using it I used at least twice as much fuel that I would use if I got a pick-up. Very dissatisfied with my experience

Your employees are awesome! One recommendation I have for you is to help them update the system/technology because it kept getting frozen and they were frustrated by that. Overall it was no biggie to me at all but for them it seemed to be a regular occurrence. There was one person checking people out and there where at least 2-3 other people sitting or walking around doing nothing. My fiancé and I where there for almost 30 minutes just to pick up a trailer I had already ordered online. This was my second time coming here and probably won’t come back.

I appreciated the cheerful disposition of Sam and The woman who helped me on 23 April morning at the Willow St Manchester location. (? name of Woman) . AND LUIS, who does not work there now, :(, , but he made sure that the mileage and gas were corrected when we picked up the vehicle on Tues. morning of 23 April. This place is SUPER busy and they still maintain a great sense of humor, Also THANK YOU BRIAN who called me to let me know I had left my wallet in the van when I dropped it off Saturday 11 May, also at the WIllow Street UHAUL. !!!!! We had a super busy family events day and I was exhausted and thought I had gotten everything out of the vehicle...evidently NOT. Parking by the entrance. Greet and serve clients right away as opposed to discussing staffing and hours. Remove racks of packing supplies between register lines so that staff can see clients and vice versa. Be happy to see a client. Would recommend only because uhaul does well with hitches and you South Nashua location is a nightmare.

The truck steering wheel was filthy (greasy). Also the truck had no automatic windows and the side view mirrors were not automatic. And, there was a leak in the roof which was a problem that day since it was raining. I would recommend junking that 10" truck and replace with something more convenient for today's use.

I check 'not applicable' in response to the "recommendation" question since I don't know if I would. Even when most of the rental app is done online, there is a wait in line at the facility. And it does not move along quickly. At one point I waited inside to find out I should have dropped it off outside...so I went out and the process would not 'let' them conclude it there so I had to go back inside and wait in line all over again. I should have been pulled right to the front of the line. the process is frustrating...even when it goes fairly smoothly.

Try to move a little faster and get the customer out of the store because an hour trying to rent a small trailer is unacceptable. You have employees standing and walking around doing nothing while customers wait in line for one person to help them. And then you have a standard wire plug on all your trailers most Vehicles today has a standard plug on their vehicle and it doesn't adapt to your trailer wiring so in order to rent the trailer you're forced to buy an adapter plug that fits your vehicle and adapts to the trailer wiring. My feeling is if you want to rent the trailer you should make it easier for the customer and have the plugs available to go with the trailer to adapt to the vehicle now I have a an adapter plug that I'm never going to use again that I just spent twenty bucks on.

Excellent job, all went very well, except the PRICE... Renting a 5x8' enclosed trailer for 6 days at a cost of $638.00 with NO INSURANCE, etc. was somewhat excessive. I didn't want to buy the trailer just rent IT?????. Even though it was one way from NH to Florida,,, the cost was somewhat extreme... By the way, they did give me a lock for the trailer at NO COST??????

Towed Auto Transport to haul a Triumph Spitfire over 500 miles from NH to MD. It towed like a dream, all lights worked, surge brakes worked, no issues or quirks. I would suggest better programming in your computer system since there was some confusion at both pickup and drop off.

I did have a small issue they didn’t have the location I was supposed to pick up but they generously told me I could pick it up the day before my scheduled date I said I didn’t know if that was going to be possible I also called late Monday afternoon to tell them I wouldn’t be in until my scheduled day I guess they didn’t change in the computer and when I arrived my equipment wasn’t there It was an inconvenience I had to get a smaller truck but they we’re very helpful they gave me extra mileage and extra days and when I dropped it off I was 200 miles over because I had to make three trips and they didn’t charge me for the miles so even though there was a mistake everyone went the extra mile I was very pleased at the end

Started out good until I tried to return the truck at 8:05 p.m. Sunday the 29th of April. The trucks were lined out nearly into the street. I couldn't get my car out until my friend pushed the sign said it was like a giant maze of uhauls! Then to add insult to injury, I was overcharged and spent 45 minutes, Literally, on the phone being transferred to 4 people in all before I got the right department, (customer service)! Uhaul charged me for dropping the truck at 7:57 a.m., NOT 8:00 p.m.! I drove the truck a total of 8 miles from the time I picked it up, guys loaded it, and then dropped it back off! That hardly would have taken 15 hours. Total sham. Totally didappointed!

The south willow location was great BUT the online booking system is horrible. I made a reservation and when i went to get my truck at the listed pick up spot (Cedar Station on Front St. Manchester NH) they were not a Uhaul rental station. It is a sketchy used car lot/repair shop and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about picking up a uhaul. Luckily I was able to get a last minute reservation at the real uhaul on south Willow Street. However, this debacle set me back almost 2 hrs on my already tight moving schedule and was a major inconvenience driving from the non-existing fake location the online reservation gave me to the real location. I will probably not use uhaul for my moving needs again as I don’t trust the accuracy of the booking system. When planning a move i have to be able to count on consistency and reliability from the company I’m working with.

Lot tech who attached my trailer was very professional, when it was noticed it had mud and dirt he apologized and made notes about issues. When I returned the unit the manager was very helpful and handled the situation and made appropriate adjustments to my reservation. I have rented at this location 3x in the last year and it is a great site, this issue was not normal for the site. The reason I noted the problem is to state that the staff handelded this in a professional way.

Was nice to know "Tow Drive" comes on when vehicle started, but since I was not towing anything it made no sense. And it would appear the tow package puts you in lower gearing, causing excessive effort to get up to speed and burning more fuel. Found two wheeler loose inside vehicle though had no need for it and never used it

This is the second time in a couple months I’ve rented from this location with the same lack luster results. The office is a mixture of chaos and frat house. Both times I arrived there are 5+ employees in the office and only one servicing the walk in clients. You get to over hear; who’s playing which Xbox game, smoke break scheduling, which employee has called out again or why so and so is taking so long. Then there’s the always exciting walkie talkie banter you get to overhear between the employees. (That’s if they remember to keep them turned on or the device stays on) This time they had run out of a form and the rep needed assistance to print it out. Walkie talkies weren’t staying on. Also a very exciting cookout type atmosphere with corn-hole was being played by 10-15 employees outside the service garages @ 2pm I don’t know anything about running a trailer rental site but can it really be that tough? They seem to have the staff just not managed appropriately.

I was told that the 'system' would calculate the cheapest rate for me once I returned the vehicle. First...the starting odometer reading was wrong...adding 5 extra miles (not a big deal, but...And I have start and end photos of the odometer). Then I did some recalculating after I left the facility and the amount I was charged was about $30 more than I feel I should have been charged. It was a learning experience for me. I know better now, how to more effectively cover all my bases to get the lowest price.

I used the online reservation feature which was convenient but didn't work correctly. The web site allowed me to make a reservation for hitch installation on a day when the local facility doesn't perform them. However, the manager (Sam) came to the rescue and performed the installation himself. He even credited me $45 because he was able to install it for less money than originally quoted. Wow! Overall not an attitude of customer appreciation at all the staff made you feel like they were doing you a service and not that you were paying them.

Everything went perfect, except we were delivered the wrong trailer at the pick-up location. This caused a bit of inconvenience at the drop-off location when our trailer ID did not match the one on the contract. The drop-off location went the extra mile to correct everything, but there should be a check in the check-out process to make sure the customer isn't driving off with the wrong equipment on a one-way rental. Other than that simple, honest mistake, it was smooth sailing, and we'll certainly keep using and recommending your location and U-Haul in general.

I drove by the "drop off" entrance to the rear of the building, asked where to drop off the truck, and literally drove around the building twice to find what looked like an alleyway that led me to the front of the building where I dropped off the truck.

The wait time was 30+ minutes. Couldn't do Express pickup despite signage in store. When we got in the truck the battery was dead. When dropping off there weren't clear signs saying not to drop your keys. The only way to drop off after hours is to use the app.

I rented a dolly to move furniture and it was not included in the truck. I stood there and listened to the associate request it be put in the truck. Not sure why my request was not fulfilled when it was abundantly clear what was needed. This was also before close so the store was not busy. Trucks always feel dirty in the driver/passenger area and smell overwhelmingly like cigarette smoke.

I was 15 minutes late and got charged extra in two catergories, insurance and extra half day rental, for 15 minutes REALLY!!! On top of this I had to help your employees test directionals, front and rear, brakes lights etc , why does the rentor have to check your trucks systems out?? Are going to charge me if a directional didn’t work?? Speed and convenience is what customer wants not 15 minutes of equipment checks especially on a piece of crap with over 126,000 miles on it.

So many things went wrong with the Ubox rental that it is hard to put it all here. I was overcharged and it took forever to get it fixed. I didn't get the truck delivery either. They just left them on a trailer, creating a hassle in the parking lot. One of the boxes was in bad shape and wouldn't stay latched. It took another day to get that straightened out and the replacement was just as bad, if not worse. The boxes sat in Manchester for 2 weeks before they were picked up. Because of that, I was only able to pick up 1 box on time. The other box was a day late and arrived with the entire latch and lock broken off. When you call the Uhaul office in Manchester, they almost never answer the phone because they are understaffed. You have to go down there, stand in line, and wait to get anything accomplished. In the end, I got my stuff, but this was a stressful process that I will never repeat again. I'll just rent a truck and drive it myself next time.

This was awful by any customer service standards. I requested a van for 9am with the 24/7 pickup option I arrived shortly after 9 and my van hadn't even been pulled up yet. There were two employees in u haul garb literally kicking rocks in the parking lot and nobody at the front counter when I entered. The online app did not work for this location and I had to fill out additional paperwork after completing the entire insurance waiver and drivers license info online when I paid. I didnt get the keys to my van till 9:45 for my 9:00 pickup causing me to miss my appointment for the appliance I needed the van for in the first place. Employees were rude, unhelpful, and excruciatingly slow. Next time I will drive miles past this location if I need to rent a truck this place is not worth your time. On top of this they counted the 45 minutes of baffoonery against my rental time telling me my 4 hour window ended at 1....

I booked a trailer for the Hooksett location as the Manchester location would have taken me another 45minutes. I received a call that only Manchester had the trailer. I asked for the trailer be moved to Hooksett and they would not. No discount either and I asked. Upon getting to Manchester the trailer I needed was hooked under another trailer. They had to use a forklift to get the trailer out. This put me back another 20 minutes on top of me going out of my way to Manchester. I wish I could receive some sort of refund or future discount.

The only thing I had a problem with his you have to pay extra for 24-hour access. In the past you always had 24-hour access with no extra charge.
