Back in 2009 I rented a large truck from. Uhaul in Tilton, NH. and the UHaul Staff was Excellent. In 2018 I rented a storage unit from UHaul in Concord, NH and they were also excellent. Today Thursday October 15, 2020 I rented a storage unit from Arielle Vargas at your Manchester NH. Branch. Just when I thought the Customer Service at UHaul couldn't get any better Arielle and all the Employees at UHaul in Manchester NH. proved me wrong. Check in was fabulous! Kind associate... very helpful. Returning was a 3 1/2 . I waited a while to be acknowledged...NO ONE in the store...no associate on the phone. :-( the actual return/unhooking person was friendly and did a good job. Took a long time to receive confirmation email of my return.

I rented a UHAUL for Saturday morning at 9AM to rent for 24 hours. I checked in online the day before and when we got to the store the truck was not ready. It still needed to be cleaned and because it was used to transport hay by the previous driver it still stunk after being cleaned. We had to do a small load Sunday morning before returning the truck and due to the return time opted to leave the washer and dryer in the old residence. The truck was returned at 8:58AM but due to processing time on my receipt it was not returned until 9:24AM (10 minutes after we checked out at 9:14AM) Not only did I not realize I was being charged for another day, I was not given given the option to keep the truck and I could have moved the units I had to leave behind. I was charged for a second day and now need to purchase a new washer & dryer

Aside from waiting 40 minutes in line after doing my paperwork online, I was very happy. Mary Catherine was a delight and very professional. Paul was thorough in explaining the auto transport. When I inquired about air fill, he checked all 4 tires on my Tundra and filled to proper pressure.

Teach the employees to all follow the same rules. I rented a tow dolly one week they charge the credit card I put in when I reserved the dolly the following week I rented a dolly again and I was told they could not charge the card I put on file and insisted I give them the credit card so that they can charge it. and the employee got very Curt and snappy with me raising her voice this is unacceptable this is not how you do business

Well you should have a license plate for all vehicles.. also make sure someone is there to answer the phone with a problem... you need better customer service.

The biggest criticism I had was using your app to attempt to complete my reservation. I was logged out and no one attempted to confirm my alternate contact and the requirements for an alternate contact were counterintuitive. Finally, I just became frustrated and went inside and from there forward had a great experience.

The staff at front desk was stellar in Manchester. I needed the trailer for longer then agreed, & I forgot to call. But a rep from U-Haul called looking for the trailer I rented, & he was totally awesome about me needing it for another day. When I dropped trailer off, a young man came right over & unhitched the trailer so I could be on my way. Fantastic experience.

U-Haul/NH has always been good to me. It's a pristine shop,professional and knowledgeable staff, and the feeling that I matter as a customer with both the move and the storage situation. I've run into some very dificult times with my health (and in turn, my finances), and U-Haul has been kind and as understanding as a business can be--never once making me feel bad but rather doing all they can to see me to the other side of this thing. You should not attach a dolly and/or blankets into the back of the truck. It took up valuable space vertically and horizontally to the size I had calculated to my rental. Either include them free (so I can remove/use) or don't take up the space I'm paying for. Thanks

It was incredibly easy to drop off the trailer. I parked in the drop off lane, someone took it off, and I was sent on my way. The entire process took less than 5 minutes.

All was great EXCEPT for the LOOONG wait at check in. Over 35 minutes which is even more ridiculous given I had a reservation, arrived on time, and did everything in advance online including uploading my DL prior to picking up the vehicle. Seemed to have plenty of employees available - they just were not focused on checking folks out. Also, the place was not especially busy as there was only 3 other people in line in front of me when I entered the check out queue.

I've used uhaul in Manchester NH twice this month. On both occasions Sonya had helped me and I rate her as excellent. She didn't miss a beat with any of my needs and her quickness to react and take care is exceptional. Very good work ethics. I love uhaul and all my experiences with uhaul. Quicker turn around on receipts. I dropped of the AT hauler (during operating hours) that I had rented prior to returning the truck (after hours, same day). Two days later, I had to call to inquire about the status of my receipt for the AT. I did not get the receipt until the 3RD day after dropping off the AT.

My handicapped daughter got treated very badly. She rented a storage area earlier in the day. I arrived with the trailer and unloaded everything on to the provided carts. Took it to the unit and it had a lock on it. My daughter is very sick and has a muscle disorder. She goes to find out what's going on. 20 min later she comes back and says we have to move to another building. This is across a parking lot, around 25 or 20 trucks. And then a 30feet incline up to the dock. Right about now I am really upset. We cant get our belongings over the pipe barrier. The manager comes out and seems mad because we are making them stay late. I say that this is ridiculous. I ask for help to move our carts from one building to the other location. 300' away. They all just walk away and say they are closing. A man comes over to move a forklift where we are taking our stuff though another door. I ask him to not do that. He said his manager told him to do this and lock up. I told him in no uncertain terms he he will move it now. I am really mad at this point. He complies and apologized for the rudeness of his manager. It took us along time to get all the stuff upstairs and load it into the unit. The staff there are very unprofessional and told shelly that they overbooked that unit 3 other times during that day. Wow, really. We are so mad. I've had a few weeks to cool off. I will also expect a answer from your people. , if I do not from you by wed september 23rd 2020. I will make a complaint to the BBB and seek retribution immediately. I am disgusted with the manchester NH location. Please advise on your intentions. 603-613- 3645 or at the email: the8mow@comcast.net. I have calmed down. I accidently hit a parked car while parking and thought I was covered with Safe Move. The UHAUL person said I was covered if anything happened but didn't explain that it doesn't cover liability. That is SafeMove Plus-never explained to me upon sign out. NOT HAPPY !! They were quick to get me out the door but it should have been explained to me.

Not sure what they used to clean the windshield but it was dangerous driving especially facing the sun. Took a very long time to drop off. One guy came over, had some problems and went inside. About 10-15 min later someone else came over and got me on my way.

When I come at the drop off location, I would prefer if someone was there to take the key fr me and calculate the price. The person who was supposed to take the key away from me was ignoring me and avoiding eye contact, I didn't feel like I was welcome(had to wait 10 minutes while parked and finally got a response when I left the car and went to talk to a manager I), not a good experience for a customer in my opinion at this Manchester, NH location.

Equipment - the driver's side sun visor just popped out of the ceiling. The connector came out and I couldn't put it back in so that was inconvenient while driving. Also, whenever I accelerated there was a metallic noise coming from the truck which didn't sound normal. Something needs to be fixed. The staff delivering and picking up the vehicle were very friendly and helpful. I was very surprised to see that no one in the UPS building was wearing a mask. We are still in the middle of a pandemic and most businesses require their staff to wear masks. The CDC and FDA both recommend mask usage to stop the spread of the disease. One employee who delivered the vehicle was wearing a mask and we were outside. The people inside should absolutely be wearing masks.

We needed to upgrade our storage room to a larger one, we had to walk around the place 5x and wait like 10 additional minutes to find someone to help us. Then, not her fault, but she was new and did not know anything. They saw us pull in with the 27foot truck, we told them it was completely full, and the room that we were upgraded to did not even fit our stuff. we had to bring more stuff back to where we are staying, which is definately not the point of having a storage unit. I cannot even walk in there, so there is NO way of me finding anything ever until we move it all out. They should be knowledgeable of what size rooms will fit the trucks that people pull in with. If they knew they did not have a unit large enough to accommodate, I would expect them to get on the phone with a different uhaul in manchester or close by and find one that would be sufficient. If that is not possible, youre better off letting the customer know that rather than having an unhappy customer, because now my finace said he will never use uhaul again. and i really am not happy that i cannot go there to look for stuff when i want it. just saying- not completely her fault, she was new, but she should not have been left in that situation, there should have been someone knowledgeable with her until she was sufficiently trained.

Sliding the card as one leaves takes some getting used to, but I eventually did. It also helps that you can go back hours later when you remember and slide it then LOL. Also, yesterday. I received a final auto pay reminder for July after I checked out of the unit last week. I know it's probably because the two systems aren't linked, but it still could be slightly worrisome to some people. However, a terrific experience overall, especially with the first free month after my move here from Texas and with the ability to get settled into my apartment more gradually and in an organized way. Finally, I get a lot of these kinds of auto-surveys including one for recent service to my Hyundai, and this was the easiest one to use. Too many of these things are attached to some kind of Google or social-media thing that my phone doesn't like. Thanks.
