Unit was heavily damaged. had a check engine light on, made horrendous sounds. service member at pickup was extremely rude and barely helpful. information for the truck was incorrect and took far too long for it to get corrected. service member gave me lots of attitude. the was no key drop box at pick up. this service was terrible. at this point in time I am extremely unlikely to use a uhaul again even though past experiences were positive. I nearly canceled this service and demanded a refund but that was not an option at that time.

Robert FThe CSRs were all wonderful. They were very professional and knowledgeable. My only issue was with the upkeep of the trick. The ignition switch looked as if it had been hot wired and stolen before as some of the outer plate was missing. The previous user must have spilled their coffee all over the console and it was never cleaned up. The truck reeked of coffee and the console was sticky so unusable (I didn't have anything readily available to clean it myself, at the time).

Tanisha SThe only concern I have is the total customer experience. I was directed to the App for self check in. The self check in was not working and when I mentioned this to the UHaul worker I was told to bypass this and it will be fine. So I took it upon myself to take photos of the vehicle before I let the UHaul lot, just incase. The return experience was a little better however at the location I was at, the drop Box for key return was no where in sight. I located an employee and handed the key over. If one is not familiar with using a cell phone for check in and out, it can be difficult. What has happened to customer service? Why am I, the customer, doing the job of the employee to check in and Return? Customer Service is Lacking.

William GWe rented a pickup truck. It was extremely dirty inside and out. The cabin smelled bad, and we had to hose out the bed of the truck before we could even use it. To top is all off, we were over charged for the mileage by 15 miles! They never even checked the mileage when we returned! I now understand why uhaul is less expensive than it's competition.

The employee's were rude short and treated me with disregard. I started renting in November and left 5/19/2024. Let me give advice never lock up a good paying customer's things without letting them know. I swept out the smelly unit and have pictures to prove that. I emailed Uhaul Shadeland. Being that I had nothing but my car could not even afford to get a truck to put the stuff in nor that I had him to do what I was doing. I just said OK I will try when I knew I couldn’t. I was only to get what I can that would fit in my car and did. She had called someone and they told her I had to get it all out that night. Well I was unable not to get it all and had to leave it. I can’t remember what I was doing at the time my phone ☎️ ring. On the other end of the phone the lady asked to speak to me Billie and I said can I help you. She told me her name was Kathy and she said Billie when are you gonna come and get the rest of your things out of storage. I explained to her what was told to me and she asked me who was it I told her I can only describe what the lady look like, but she did apologize because she has no control. She told me to come and get the rest of my things out. Ms. Kathy ask me if I wanted my couch and picture and chairs I told her yes. I said all that to say this that was nobody but God to lay upon her heart and her managers heart. To tell me to come and get the rest of my things and I think and praise God for that because they didn’t have to do it but the did. I appreciate it thank you all, for your help.
