First off the keys were lost by the employees for pick up, then the truck has no gas in it, and the back of the truck was a mess with the mats not foldedNick B.
Reservation price was $75. Actual was $80 and change without explanation. Called to keep trailer an extra 4 hours, was told it would be $30 extra. Said okay, great. When dropping trailer I asked how to pay the $30 extra. Was told not to worry about it, there's no extra charge. Final bill ended up being $130!!! Went from $30 extra, to $0 extra, to $50 extra!!!! My check in experience was not ideal. I was going through the online check in and kept having trouble. There was a significant line, with only one attendant available (on a Saturday morning, which I imagine is one your busiest days). I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled pickup and did not leave the location until nearly 30 minutes after my pickup time. The vehicle was clean, but it had a strong smoke odor. I tried to mark this on my online check-in, but that was giving me trouble and I couldn't delay anymore to stand in line to make note of that issue. The return process was very smooth. That's what I expected when I arrived to pick up the vehicle.Michael K.

This is not the location I selected for my reservation. Instead of driving 5 minutes away to pick up the truck, I was left a voicemail the night before the rental and told I would need to drive 20 min across town to pick up the unit. Moving is stressful, and making these switches is incredibly frustrating and inconsiderate. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience.Eric S.

This vehicle is not roadworthy. The low oil pressure light was on when I picked it up. The oil pressure gauge goes to "0" at idle. The front end has terrible metal on metal scraping noises, and it is impossible to make the vehicle go in a straight line. It is dangerous on the highway, and very difficult to keep on the pavement on a two lane road because it constantly darts left and right. It is bad empty, and much worse with a full load. I think there is something seriously wrong with the front end. I have driven 26 foot Uhauls before, and I have a large RV. I know that they don't drive like a regular car, but this vehicle is the worst vehicle I have ever driven. Very disappointed that Uhaul sent me out in this piece of junk.Douglas H.

The first van that I was given needed air in the back tires. They switched vehicles for me and said they would get the other vehicle aired up. They basically just parked it back on the lot. Also, the individuals who were working in the office were talking on their personal cell phones while assisting customers. This is a convenient location but not the best kept.Jodi L.

The inside was not swept well and the Windshield was very dirty. I did a careful walk around inspection and it was a good thing I did as I discovered damage that had not been documented and I could have been dinged for. I booked my truck several weeks in advance at a local U Haul but was told that on the day I needed it they would not have one. Why book at any U Haul, why not wait until the day and then I get to do the run around looking for one. If it were not for the friendly help of the south Charlotte manager I would have had to go to the North east side of Charlotte, which is on the other side of town to get truck. If a truck is booked at my local U Haul then I would think that it would be reasonable to expect it to be there. That means U Haul takes one from where ever and ferrys one to the requested location and not the customer chasing it around.Jonathan S.

Truck was The truck was very old already 161,760. Very poor steering. I drove 70 miles and spent 15 gallons of fuel. It's horrible. For 70 miles I paid $63 for fuel. Don't take truck 15' DC4146TSergei T.

Access to the drop off zone is very limited from the South Blvd entrance (for vehicles pulling UHaul trailers), preventing vehicles from entering the property due to other parked UHaul trucks being checked in (literally backed up to the road). I dropped the trailer off at 4pm on Thurs 5/12 and the trailer was not inspected or verified as "RECEIVED" until Friday 5/13 2pm.Willie L.

The advertised unit was not available and they charged me the insurance which was promise to be refunded and they never cancelled the rental contract either so my first month was charged as well. I had my unit for about 2 years, maybe longer. The store manager, Keith Washington has always shown top notch professionalism. From the first time I entered the store, his interactions with not only his team but the many customers was seamlessly smooth, relaxed and efficient. He should be commended on running a 5 star operation! Additionally, all communications regarding payments, etc. have always been prompt and the online account system is one of the best platforms I’ve navigated as a customer. Worst storage ever! My daughter passed away in North Carolina. I lived out of state. I put her belongings in storage. For close to 10 years I paid on time every month. When I summoned the courage to get her things I came back to the storage. It no longer had a ceiling. Wire mesh covered the top. I had rented a large trailer for all her things. When I went into the storage it had been ransacked. The majority of my daughters belongings were gone. I found items that did not belong to her on top of the few boxes that were hers. . I took the few boxes and went home. All the years of paying on the storage were for not. The precious items I had from her life were gone forever. Not from fire or a flood but from thieves rummaging through what was left of my daughters life! To add insult to injury, a few weeks later I get a call requesting payment on the now empty storage.
