The poor rating is for the location in Pineville which was unprofessional and due to that they really messed up my original rental. I spent several hours on the phone with customer service. Loved the booking online process and pickup. Saved us from waiting in line. Would be great if you sent an email maybe the day before or so to.prompt for pre-registration. Truck had very little gas already in it, transmission sounded like it was about to give out. The movers from the uhaul website cancelled last minute and I waited on hold with U-Haul for an hour, no credit or assistance was granted. You are on your own and a purely a number to them.ANDREW F.

My reserved truck was given to someone else and got taken right in front of me while trying to go through the app steps. I was trying to be contactless due covid, there was no chance. We rented a truck from different location. Called the day before to confirm. When arrived, no truck available. So we had to go to South Blvd. location. Second time this has happened. Thankfully other location credited us for the extra miles we would have to drive. However, it was an inconvenience that ate up an extra 1.5 hour of our time. This location forgot to give us the handtruck we rented. But we did turn around to get it. Return process was very easy.GEORGE H.

The inside was clean and the employees were kind. I am frustrated with my experience here because before dropping off the UHaul, I filled up at the closest gas station and filled the tank a smidge over the 5/16th line was (which 5/16 was where it was at when I received the truck). When I walked in, customers were being served at the front desk but an employee to the side asked if I was dropping off. I said yes and he proceeded to ask for the keys. I handed them over and asked if there was any return paperwork I needed to sign or if I completed a drop off inspection with him. He said no, due to COVID and told me I was good to leave. Later that day I received a bill to pay for extra gas. Although it was less than $10 I was extremely frustrated. They made it seem like a convenient drop off experience, but instead I felt like I was being nickled and dimed. Because I had filled up on the way there, I wish I had taken a picture at the time of the drop off to document exactly how much gas was left. My advice - Protect yourself as the customer!JORDAN B.

The operation of the pick-up location was friendly, efficient, and an overall good experience. The trailer was a piece of junk. Only four tiedown cleats on each side, and one of them was broken. The tie-down rails had slots that were so narrow that my 3/8" diameter rope would not pass through the slots. One fender was badly dented.Charles H.

I reserved a uhaul at my nearest location. When I get there to pick up my uhaul I was sent to a different location miles away without them informing me before I got there. I get to the second location having to wait because the keys wasn't turned in. So I was sent to another location that was miles away. I just feel as if it was a bad experience and bad customer service especially when you are moving and you have things to do and also felt like my mileage wouldn't been so high if I would've gotten my uhaul where I reserved it at. What you can do to improve for your next customer make sure you call and give them a heads up on their reservation.CORA K.

Worst storage ever! My daughter passed away in North Carolina. I lived out of state. I put her belongings in storage. For close to 10 years I paid on time every month. When I summoned the courage to get her things I came back to the storage. It no longer had a ceiling. Wire mesh covered the top. I had rented a large trailer for all her things. When I went into the storage it had been ransacked. The majority of my daughters belongings were gone. I found items that did not belong to her on top of the few boxes that were hers. . I took the few boxes and went home. All the years of paying on the storage were for not. The precious items I had from her life were gone forever. Not from fire or a flood but from thieves rummaging through what was left of my daughters life! To add insult to injury, a few weeks later I get a call requesting payment on the now empty storage.
