Nothing! The person that took care of me that day was very helpful and professional. He made quick work of getting me in and out and assisted me with purchasing the right hitch and attaching the trailer to my vehicle.

NATHANIEL VThe only thing I would feel can be improved is the wait time upon arrival. We were made to believe by checking in online it would expedite the process of obtaining the truck rental. Having tight time constraints to move out our daughter from college and after driving a significant distance interstate, it would have been more helpful to not have been delayed to wait for service at the counter. Perhaps it was short staffed or simply just the need to further train those already on shift to assist the one employee that was multi tasking trying to oversee and address several issues simultaneously. While I will continue to utilize U-Haul for my needs going forward however the slight delays are an inconvenience and may be detrimental especially for those who need to stay on a strict schedule. Otherwise keep up the good work - they're are reasons you have been in business for a long time! See you again on the next move - we still have two more that'll be off to college soon!

Sharon MI do not like the new process of checking out and returning the vehicle. It's too complicated and takes up too much time, especially for the return of the uhaul. I prefer to come in and speak with a person/employee whom will complete the check out inspection before handing me the key. I do not like the fact that I have to be sent a code just to take a selfie to load to the system then proceed to take additional time to take pictures of the uhaul and upload them. None of this is clearly explained when booking the rental and it makes it pointless to say if you prefer to come into to uhaul center or if you prefer to check out on your phone if the majority of the checkout process is done on the phone irregardless. Furthermore more the afterhours check in/return process is even worse. The process should have been explained better by the employee who checked us out for the rental, instead I spent about an hour trying to figure it out and downloaded the mobile app for no reason and again with multitude of pictures needed before the process can be fully completed it very much a Hassel. It's been about maybe 10 years since I've needed to rent a uhaul so I know things have changed but it should change for the better, not for more of an inconvenience for the customer just to make things easier for the company. I would assume this is the new policy and practice for all uhaul locations so my rating for this location has nothing to with my satisfaction level with the company as a whole.

CRAIG SOn a good note; Chris was very professional & kind during a call I had with him. Clean the windows, have gas at full ( much easier to return at full than a quarter of a tank), coach staff on customer service upon check in & clean the cab of the trucks. There was candy wrappers, chewed gum & quite a bit of dirt in our truck.
TERRI SThis location was fine but the problem was the location on Capitol. They call me 30 min before my pick up time to tell me they did not have my 26 footer available. Then have me sent to the state street location because they did have a 26 footer. Very poor planning and wasted a lot of my time.

JEFFREY FSo many issues with U Haul. You guys have no system which fixes errors made by representatives and it caused more pain to me as customer. From Milwaukee to Charlotte representatives were not helpful at all. Never ever using U haul again in my life.
Tach NGet workers that are attentive to their customers. Had one employee take a personal call before taking care of us. - Had reserved a 17” truck two days prior to picking up. On the day of, said there were no 17” trucks, told me to go to a different U-Haul location, located on South 1st street. The lady there was horrible, didn’t even bother taking care of us, said there were no 17” trucks there too, didn’t even take the time to go check. Re directed us back to the U-Haul back on state street, and that’s when they made us wait an hour before attending to me. And right before that, he took a personal call. Very unprofessional. Didn’t have no 17” trucks so ended up renting a 10” truck. I need my money back. Paid way too much for a 10” truck.

HANNAH BThere were no dolly’s that we PRE RESERVED when we got to the location. We then had to go to two additional locations to acquire said dolly’s. Which then put us over our mileage that we requested. Had the first location where we picked up the truck had them, we would have been well below that mileage.
DANIEL KI reserved a dolly to move with my uhaul, when I arrived the location altered me they had just given out their last dolly and did not have one for me. They suggested I try a different location however when I arrived there they informed me that they could not rent me a dolly because I had an active reservation open with the truck. I was unable to get a dolly to move with despite reserving one. Otherwise good experience
MEAGHAN VMake sure these trucks drives smoothly. The truck I had drove like it was something wrong with engine.
LYNNYETTA TRomello (sp?) & Patrick were great - helpful and reassuring. This was a very quick in-and-out situation - we just needed something bigger than our small vehicle to move a chair from one house to another, and it was as good an experience as we could have asked for.

Freddy AOne of the two gentleman refused to assist. Made it seem like getting the car off the carrier was 100% my liability. He did not even come outside to check on things. The one gentleman informed him he was new to the process. Lucky I was actively involved with the gentleman in Hillside loading the vehicle so I was aware what to do. I got on my back to remove the equipment. I was headed to an event and had to go home and change. I was VERY disappointed.

I really didn’t want to leave because how hopefully they are and how will they maintain the place. Chris is a true leader. However the price increases and ever year and twice this year made me look elsewhere. For the time I have been there and I also rent uhauls it’s ridiculous. The one I moved to is about 2 miles away and a web price of $78 per month for the same square footage. Regular price is $123 per month. For $123 per month I would have stayed but the increase made me leave. Because what are you going to raise it to next and how much. I won’t find out Uhaul made that decision for me.

ROBERT J | First ImpressionsI moved out of my storage unit in May/June 2023 and they did not close out my account but continue to charge me running up a bill and contacting me to continue to make payments, again instead of closing out the account. I don't understand why or how this happened, but I do plan to fight it because this is not the way you handle things and if I am telling you to close out the account that's in my name so that I am no longer charged, I don't understand why this business would refuse. I see that you can't expect much from a ghetto business that commits so many different forms of fraud. This is definitely fraud at its best and here I am with the short end of the stick having to pay all of this money back. It's very unfair and I could never understand something like this.

The manager even gave us her cell phone number, if there was any problems which is very professional. mice issues can be a problem. But you see so many traps at least there trying. Also the area can be rough were people come up and ask for money or to use your cell phone, but this is normal in a big city. Excellent job Uhaul continuing to try to satisfy the customer.
