The trailer I rented is a 6'x12' trailer with a ramp. I needed it to move a 5.5' wide machine. The rear of the trailer has flair on each side that cuts in about 8â€. This effectively makes the trailer less than 5 feet wide. It did not work for my purposes and was a complete waste of my time and money. Truck wasn't dirty but it needs to be taken off the road for repair. I could barely keep it in the lane and on the road. Ensure tire air pressure is correct between rentals. I found one tire to have only 11 psi. Although I inflated it to proper pressure, during my trip, the same tire experienced total failure. Fortunately, the other wheel held the load - otherwise, it could have been serious injury, if not fatality. I was able to safely pull off the road and have the wheel replaced.ROBERT W.
I rented a trailer the weekend before and everything went great but this weekend it was not the same service. For starters when did U-Haul require a second contact to harass, that's correct I said harass because that's what they did. I rented a motorcycle trailer and the guy hooking it up started mouthing me about my truck then the lady inside requested a second contact person. Why the second contact person because you already have my number, my credit card information and my wife's number on file why another one? Then I returned the trailer when I got done which was at 130 pm the same day I rented it and your employee said it was completed. The next day the office lady started calling all three of us and saying that I hadn't returned the trailer and it was late when I returned it 4.5 hours after I rented it. Really that is not good business at all because when we are off from work all we want to do is spend time with our families not be harassed by U-Haul because they don't want to do there job. I have rented from U-Haul SEVERAL times but if U-Haul would have acted like this the first time I might not have came back. I rent trucks, trailers, and buy a lot of propane from U-Haul and I would like a little better customer service than this. Also your motorcycle trailers with the shorter wider tires pull a lot better than the trailers with the tall skinny tires they don't road walk as much. Thanks for your time.LATISHA C.

No one called me by 6pm the day before to confirm my rental. I had to initiate the call and was able to get confirmation and also they confirmed I could pick up truck prior to store opening. I arrived the next day early (before store opened) but the 'remote' process did not work. Even though there were employees on site, I was told they couldn't help me so I was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get the remove code for the box with the key. VERY FRUSTRATINGJohn M.

Don't let a customer extend a reservation when another reservation immediately follows them returning it. It makes no sense to do that, and then not let you know the truck is not available before making the drive to pick it up. This has made it very clear this company is poorly ran and is unable to provide guaranteed reservations. The place we were supposed to take it to on Country Park.. awful.. We called to see what time they opened. 9:30. Took truck there at 10. Closed. No note on door. Called 800 number and they said they would call someone to come up. 20 or 30 mins later we called back. They called for someone to come up. Told them there were other waiting too. HI, I recently rented a 26 truck. It was reserved for 10:30am October 16, 2020. I went to the summer location for pick up and the system was very slow. Turns out it was nationwide and all together the system shut down. After almost an hour of waiting at that location, I finally asked the girl at the desk if they would call me when the system is up and running again, she replied yes she would. So a few hours went by and I haven't heard anything. I decided to call them instead. A female answered the phone and I asked if the system was back up. She said yes, but it's slow. I asked if I could come get my truck that I had reserved and she nonchalantly replied yeah! So I drive back down to the store and it was a long line and I waited again. So after a while the girl I originally talked to had me to go online to uhaul.com/share and fill out information, go outside to find the truck and then continue to wait for a response. My pick up time now was for 2:45pm which I still didnt get the truck til after 3pm and they tell me to have it back by 830pm WHICH WAS NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! I told her we were already pressed for time at this point because my husband had to work. Now it is October 17th and I get an early morning phone call asking when I was bringing the truck back and I told that same girl that idk because my husband is still at work and I have to get the rest of the stuff off. I cant do it by myself!! She responds by telling me that somebody has the truck reserved for 830am and I need to have it back. I told her that it's no way possible to have the truck back by that time and if the system wasnt down, the truck would've been back and it should've been a backup plan so it not my fault. She said I could've turned it in overnight. Anywho, I have had SO MANY ISSUES with this SAME LOCATION everytime I have to rent from them. They charge me for extra days when they only give u 5-6 hours to use the truck. THAT IS NOT EVEN A DAY!!! I will NEVER rent from them again. HOME DEPOT is way better. That summer location needs to have a meeting about customer service and they definitely need to work on their attitudes because they are very unprofessional and that's bad business!!! And to top it all off, they charged me for using furniture pads that we didnt even use. Broken glass was all in the back of the truck as well. Very rude and stabs offish. I had my dad tell them I was getting gas and I'd be there. They could see me across the street. I arrived at 5 right as they closed. They turned off the lights immediately and was arguing with someone inside as they were kicking him out because it was closing time. I asked several times where the key drop was and got no clear answer. They made me use the online truck drop off instead of helping me for a few minutes and rushed out if the store.
