Outstanding team at this location. Super friendly and helpful!
Robert SIt was last minute need for truck and team was very accommodating. Only complaint is they did give us an extra 25 free miles because our one way destination was as much as the free miles. Complaint here is U-Haul asked us to drop off at a location much further than the 2 in town and then charged us the 8.5 miles over on mileage. Had we been allowed to drop off at closer location we wouldn’t have gone over allocated miles.
mercedes HEverything was great
Vadim NOutstanding customer service.
billy sMake sure the gas in the tank is more than 1/4 full! I received my truck with only 1/4 tank of gas but I was lucky I didnt have to drive very far but I feel like a new rental Should come with a full take of gas so they are not required to go to the gas station untill after they have completed their move and are on the way back to the u haul location they rented from!
Payden RVehicle had less than 45 miles to empty. I complained and was told that is how it was returned. When I use location on McClintock have never had this issue.
DEBRA HThe time that is required for me to rent through the app is ridiculous! I won’t be using this again.
DUANE BI only drove the truck for about 21 miles total, and more than 18 miles of that was on the freeway. There was no idling with the A/C on, no long stops with the engine running, and no unusual driving conditions — just normal driving. Before returning it, I already added about 1.75 gallons of gas. But then I was still charged for another 2 gallons on the final bill. That means the truck supposedly used more than 3.75 gallons of fuel for just 21 miles, which seems extremely excessive. Based on my actual use, the fuel charge does not feel reasonable. If this vehicle really burns that much gas under normal driving, then it is honestly very inefficient.
Minghua ZI don't know. I was not the one who dropped it off. The surgery should have gone to the actual person who reserved the U-Haul. I was not the one who reserved the U-Haul. I was a designated driver who picked it up. For some reason the U-Haul transferred to my name and it should not have.
VICTOR RYou have some college kids that could care less about their job that don't explain anything but then act like everything was explained perfectly and are ready to pounce with additional fees for every little detail. And what's with this ridiculous policy of charging "per day" and then penalizing your customers for returning the vehicle early?? Pure insanity and I will never rent from Uhaul again. The manager Jasmine at the Tempe location was condescending and flippant and did not even try to listen or resolve the concerns. This explain why the employees don't give a crap either. Bad leadership.
JOSE AThey were an hour late opening the store. Then at the end I was charged an insurance fee when I never requested the insurance. Then she refused to remove it. Then I picked up another truck today and my receipts from the previous days rental was sent to my friends email address. Which definitely violates personal information laws. That really pissed me off to have my information being sent out.
GEORGE TFast and Friendly
KEVIN GThe service was excellent in every way possible. I want you to know that I will always use your service.
BEVERLEY LRey is great and very kind and helpful 😊👍
SELENA OCheckin and return were really easy and attendants were very helpful.
REBECCA SThe truck was new (~3300 miles) but the tires were low on air to the point that the low air pressure warning was on, and the windshield was dirty inside. I also had to pick up a trailer at the McClintock location, and that site was much better because it had facilities to fill the tires with air and clean the windows.
Brian BTrucks battery was dead, truck was old, and not clean. Mobile pickup did not work, required coordinating with 800 number
Andrew VPromote the Uhaul app more.

MICHAEL DUpon returning, the representative asked if I was just returning and when I said yes she said I was good to leave. I then informed the representative that my fuel was incorrect at dispatch and that the picture that I took during the walk around showed it and I wanted to wait for them to return it so I didn't get charged incorrectly. They then said that the picture didn't show up during their return to which I said that it has before. She then walked away without saying a word to me and came back with the other employee there. The other employee then came around the truck and told me that I should've come inside this morning when I noticed it and let them know then. Then the first representative started the return and when she got to the fuel page she turned to me and said "there's no picture here" while showing me the screen that HAD MY PICTURE on it. I have rented at busier centers before and have never had this issue even when the fuel was incorrect at dispatch. The attitude of both of the representatives was not needed and escalated the situation. I was the only customer there at the time.
SHANNON REmployee at this location was working when I picked up and returned the van and he was awesome! He was very friendly, helpful in answering my questions and polite. Rarely have such a great customer service experience these days so I hope you take good care of him!!
MICHELLE MI reserved a cargo van for a 4-hour block and estimated 20 miles. Your employee told me to “come inside and let us know if the mileage is off.” I documented the odometer at pickup, reset the trip meter, returned the van 25 minutes early, and my trip computer showed 26.9 miles and 69 minutes of drive time. Instead of verifying the actual mileage, your employee tried to run my card for approximately $277 before even coming back to speak to me, then informed me I had supposedly gone 270+ miles over my estimate. Explain how it is even physically plausible to put nearly 300 miles on a U-Haul cargo van in just over an hour of drive time. It is not. That is a data entry or system error, not a real charge. The only reason this did not escalate is because I insisted on waiting for a printed receipt. Had I just “trusted the email” and left, your system would have continued trying to capture a clearly bogus balance. The predictable downstream path is: repeated charge attempts, internal “delinquent” flags, potential referral to a third-party collector, and possibly inaccurate credit reporting – all over a 26.9-mile rental. From a risk and compliance perspective, this is how a simple $40 rental mushrooms into five-figure exposure once you factor in: • Unfair and deceptive practices under consumer-protection law (billing for miles that could not have been driven), • Potential Fair Credit Reporting Act issues if a fake balance ever gets furnished, and • Potential Fair Debt Collection Practices Act exposure for any third-party collector trying to enforce obviously false mileage data, plus attorneys’ fees. I have time-stamped photos of the odometer at pickup and drop-off, plus the trip-meter showing 26.9 miles and 69 minutes of drive time. In other words, I am not guessing; your own vehicle telemetry backs me up. If this had gone to collections or hit my credit, I would have had every incentive to litigate, and you would have been writing a settlement check over an easily preventable error. What you need to fix immediately: No charges attempted before a human sanity-checks mileage. If the system thinks a customer did 300 miles in a local 4-hour block, the default should be “this is wrong,” not “run their card.” Require in-person disclosure of the final amount before any card run, especially when the mileage delta is extreme. Train and empower managers to override obvious mileage / odometer mistakes on the spot, instead of shrugging and saying they “don’t know how to fix it.” Implement a basic plausibility check (drive time vs. miles vs. vehicle type) so your system flags clearly impossible scenarios automatically. I effectively did your quality control for you and saved you from a very avoidable legal problem. Ignorance and lack of training are not a defense. Take this as a free warning: the next customer in my position will not be this patient.
LA DOverall great experience even with the IT outage.
Schuyler NWhen I first arrived to pick up the UHaul the building was completely empty, I waited 15 minutes before one worker finally came in, thank god I came in first since she created a long line of customers from her disappearance of course. I was then directed to walk through dark alley way alone at night as a girl with very little instruction to find my UHaul, I was too scared to finish the instructions of taking pictures and stuff. I get in and notice they left the UHaul at 2 miles which I do have proof of since there was not a gas station within 2 miles of the store and I was even more scared. I tried calling and looking around for anybody however once again no one answered or could help me. I had to go anyway since I was late to the movers from the worker earlier. I luckily made it to the gas station, however, I did not make it to the pump which was no surprise to me, I will also note that same worker told me there was around 15 miles on it and that I would need to fill the tank, but she NEVER said it was registering at TWO MILES TIL EMPTY. So I had to buy a $17 gallon tank and fill it enough to fully drive to the pump. Then I filled it up $30 which I once again have proof of, I was told they would reimburse me like $14 I think it was if I filled it at all more than what it was at originally, however, I was never reimbursed anything. Not that I think $14 covers any of the costs that UHaul Location caused me that night….The rest went great as I returned the UHaul after hours, before my scheduled time. Everything that involved responsibilities at this location was negligible, I can only hope the right people see this and do something about it. My advice is to avoid this location regardless of how close it is to ASU, I rather walk miles with a couch on my back than go through that again.
Chloe EEasy Tempe Location. Wyatt was so kind and made our checkout/checkin easy. Highly recommend!
Clifford GThe young man that drove the truck for me thought it might need to be checked. it might need the transportation checked as it seemed to shift a little stiff.
JORJA LExcellent customer service, and quick in and out. I spent more time in traffic than driving the truck and getting situated with them. Will come back if I need a truck again. 12/10 .
JONATHAN BThe Customer Service is Everything
ADRIENNE MBattery died- road side assistance took forever to reply. Were stranded for am hr till a stranger at 11 pm heled us charge YOUR battery for 30 minute to even start
Adriana TI have tried Budget because they were a little cheaper and I will never do that again. I have always had a good experience with U-Haul.
SHEA SExcellent customer service, I was called and rescheduled my appointment that was missed. Came in and was quickly taken care of with a smile and positivity. I wish I was paying attention to his name! Such a pleasant experience
Tanishe AEverything was very easy and quick! Friendly staff who got everyone taken care of and helped with the late add ons like boxes and paper. Great location!
ERICA BThe people who work at the store were attentive and provided great customer service. The Uhaul truck itself was terrible. It was scary and obviously the service of the vehicle it was not kept up with. There was no power steering so I was constantly trying to keep the truck going straight. The Tow/Haul light was on the entire time and was told that is normal. The truck felt like it was fighting for its life when I would speed up. It did not feel safe to take it on the main freeway or roads. I've rented many uhauls and this by far is the worse condition I've ever rented.
SALINA Fback massage chairs built into every uhaul
IGNACIO ACustomer service was excellent. He made my experience easy as a first time customer. Keep up the same customer service . Thanks
Carlos Gnothing it was perfect
Joshua CAndroid app is not well designed. I couldn't find pick up my truck in the app at first and was lost for a while in finding the button. After relogin, then it appears. This experience was so frustrating me.
Yongjae LIt was an amazing experience the guy there was super helpful
Devansh VI received my rental truck with only a quarter of a tank of gas, which was a slight inconvenience considering I had a long drive ahead of me and was in a bit of a time crunch. No matter what, I would think most customers would prefer that when you rented a U-Haul, it would be similar to when you rent vehicles from other rental companies and that the tank would be full. Other than that no issues with the pick up. Employee who helped me was very nice.
Michael JSecond location first that was reserved would not help me
STEVEN SHonestly best experience I’ve ever had at a uhaul, the young guy with tattoos and glasses was very helpful and was able to help multiple people at the same time! Great job guys
craig lCustomer service is excellent. They were quick and efficient and just generally good guys to work with. I would absolutely rent at this facility again (both the unit and the vehicle).
Rosemary RMax at the Scottsdale Rd location in Tempe AZ was super helpful and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
TRAVIS CVery helpful.
Kanisha MI scheduled my truck for a 6am pickup with the remote pickup option. When I arrived the system said I did not have any equipment reserved, so when I called support, they told me that the location had forgotten to put the keys outside. The reason I had selected a 6 am pickup time is because this was the only time today I had help to move, and also it being August in AZ, it’s very hot in the middle of day. So I was forced to reschedule for later in the day when it was way hotter and I had at least some help. It was just unfortunate having a plan and speaking to someone on the phone earlier in the week, with them telling me everything will be all set when it was not.
COLE WEveryone was super nice and helpful, especially Metroneke B. She helped us pick the right truck for the hours we needed and gave good recommendations. Very satisfied with the overall experience!!
Ruben aThe employee at the return station was very helpful and completed the return process easily!
Aylin VThis whole experience was done very quickly and professionally with a fast pick up and drop off. The truck we rented was clean and well maintained
JEFFREY SThe windshield was very dirty. Other than that for a truck with 137,700 miles on it, the vehicle was alright.
RICHARD LThe assistant manager, Topher, was terrific. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient.
JUDITH SAs with picking up the truck dropping off was super easy & the staff was exceptionally nice & helpful at this drop off location.
STEPHEN SThe lady in the front which I think her name was Christina was amazing. She made my experience great.
YVONNE MEmployee that helped us at the front desk was rude and condescending, it was strange behavior and really shouldn’t happen to a paying customer. Additionally directions were given to drop the rental van off at the side and wait for someone to come out. I followed those directions, waited for 15 mins, and no one came out. Better service would’ve been appreciated
XAVIER HU Haul wanted me to bring truck to a different location, Stadem? Ave in Tempe. Google maps and Waze could not locate the actual address. I saw a bunch of U haul trucks packed on Mary Ave, but there was no office or anyway to return the truck, drove around putting a bunch of miles on the truck looking for an address that doesn’t exist or is not where it says it is. Finally saw the 500 Scottsdale location and called U-Haul to get permission to bring the truck to that location. Attendant at 500 said they don’t take 26’ trucks but he did to help me out. I can’t remember his name but he gets a Gold Star.
Alan IThe truck was driving smoothly and the services at the office best ever keep good work Uhaul team
LEWIS ZThis company is committed fraud. Never showed me the contract and had me sign it with out any information. The manager is disrespectful and quoted “
UMA AI couldn’t get my unit to start and called uhaul. They responded and said there would a technician out. Unfortunately my phone died so I had to take off to move. They still arrived to where I was at and later when I dropped the truck off the manager/owner of the vehicle was there to inspect it
KIWAN WEasy, smoothe, forgot to put the dolly but fixed it no issues.
