I did not have a great experience. The truck had less than 1/8th tank of gas. It also did not have the dolly and packing blankets that I requested/ ordered and I'm yet to get refunded for those items. Very expensive for such poor service. The truck was in good condition and ran well.Karen B.

It was such a quick and easy experience to drop the u-haul off here. I pulled into the drop off lan and was greeted by a friendly employee. He confirmed my email address and said I would receive an email confirmation and could be on my way. It took longer to wait for the person ahead of me to leave with his rental than to return mine. Make sure all items are together. I ordered a dolly but did not get one. Employee that helped me was very good, a very nice guy. The other guy there had an angry customer and was not so professional. Also I tried to confirm that my furniture would indeed fit and the guy told me it wouldn't be a problem, ended up not fitting. That made the move much harder.Nicolas C.

I reserved a motorcycle trailer 2 months in advance. I ended up with a 6x12 enclosed trailer. Just made loading and unloading bike difficult. (No ramp) U-Haul did give me enclosed trailer for same price as motorcycle trailer. When I arrived home with the trailer, it was full of leaves and eight blankets. The personnel at this location were awesome and my comments are not intended to get anybody in trouble at this location.Mark S.

Follow commitment to call the evening before pickup to confirm pickup time. This did not happen for my pickup and when I landed at the airport I had a email and voicemail that my reservation was cancelled. I called and it was reinstated so it all worked out. When I arrived at 7:15am there were two associates helping one customer with a refund. This should only take one associate. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting to be checked in on a trailer I had all set up online. I even did the online check in with my license uploaded. They should have split up the associates between myself and the other customer. Once paperwork started inside, the associates had me go outside to the trailer and pull it out of the way. Then back inside to complete remainder of the paperwork. I have rented from another uhaul 50+ times over the past two years and this location does not seem organized. I only went there because the normal location I go to didn't have the trailer available. This process took 45 minutes where the other location has it completed in 15 minutes. I know it might not seem like much of an problem to most, but when you run a business and need a trailer fast, time is crucial. This location could use some organizational help.Travis K.

I booked through online and was promised a 20-foot truck, only to be left hanging and forced to upgrade at the last minute and forced to pay over 50% more. Then due to not getting the correct pickup location, I was late getting the truck, this then made me miss the window to load, and of course, unload, which added a week of un wanted to hire, I truly feel you should refund a percentage of the charges. and take responsibility, it would have worked out cheaper to have sim ply paid a removalist to do everything.colin R.

The gentleman who I spoke to on the phone Friday afternoon and who checked the equipment back in on Sunday was amazing! Thoughtful, helpful & kind. Unfortunately the guy who checked me in on Saturday morning-Jack??- was a total jerk. Sarcastic, unhelpful and basically scammed me do he could get the equipment back earlier to rent to others. Instead of telling me when it was due back, he asked me when I would like to return it. It was due Monday morning and I said I was going to try for Sunday if possible. He said he just needed a specific time for the paperwork. So I said 12. He never said that changed the length of my contract. When I called Sunday morning, Jasmine was lovely, but advised she couldn't chss as age it without a fee. So she transferred me to scheduling for help. I believe the scheduling witch was named Haley. So nasty. Threatened to hang up on me. Just a horrible person. So for every good employee you have, there is another that makes it a nightmare to do business with you. The pickup truck wreaked. We had to ask to be shown how to unlock the back door to the truck. The agent did demonstrate, but seemed anoyed to do so. Overall, I was happy with the equipment and ease of online booking provided by UHaul, but the company could benefit from some customer service training. The guy that works there - might be the manager was very kind and willing to assist when I hit a snag in my unit. Everyone is really nice - I think The units are really small compared to the ones in Md and Georgia - but I’m a master packer and made it work. Great location and they have lots of carts which came in handy because it got very busy and no one had to fight for carts - that was a plus. There was a mix up when I arrived with my furniture stating I had not paid which took some time to straighten out. At first they were ot going to give me the free month. Because of the mix up I could not set up an account. As they never answered the phone, I had to go to the store to pay for the extra months needed. When I was ready to leave, the elevator (only 1 at the facility), was broken! They laughed and said they didn’t know when it would be repaired. I wa very upset. The manager told me he was offended that I blamed him! Well,he is the manager! It was a strange reaction. Keep in mind, I was paying more rent because I couldn’t move into my new home because I could not get my furniture out of storage. This went on for 2 weeks! The manager did comp me a truck to move my furniture once the elevator was fixed. It did not cover the additional rent but I was just happy to be out. In addition, I had to go down to check on the elevator because again they didn’t answer the phones and no one called me to tell me it was fixed! Got the code to let me into the maximum security storage facility wasn't told that I had to check in using the code at this particular access point then I can use the door key pad but after that was explained to me I had no problems the staff was polite and courteous and even showed me to my storage unit and how to use my code to access the elevator and when I asked for a security card to let me in the door instead of using the code they gave me one without a fuss and told me if I have any problems questions or concerns please feel free to come to the desk and ask it may cost a little bit more but it is definitely worth every penny. The facility itself was secure. However, I reached out to customer service and got the main number as the facility ALWAYS transferred its phones to the main number. You can never reach the facility itself. The main uhaul could not answer my question and assured me that the manager of Tropicana field would return my call. He/she never did. I was supposed to get a free month of storage as I had rented a truck within the last 12 months. (Mine was actually within the last 6 weeks). The customer service reps at the main number checked my qualifications and assured me that I did qualify. The they charged me at the facility and when it was questioned, they said that since I didn’t rent the truck ‘from a certain distance’, I didn’t qualify for a free month. I’m Scratching my head over that loophole. Not even quite sure what it means. The facility itself was fine. I made the reservation through uhaul central since you can never reach the facility itself. On the move-in day, the facility told me that they gave my storage unit to someone else (we were there at 9 am), but, they were able to come up with another for us. I arrived at Uhaul at 8:15am. There was only 1 employee working. He was very slow. There were 3 people in front of me. By the time I got up to the counter it was after 10:35a.m. The Uhaul employee had a nasty attitude and was unprofessional. He was very condescending with myself and the black woman who was before me in line. However, his demeanor was totally different with the two other guys/customers that were in front of the line. I had to be to work at 12 noon but due to waiting 2 hours to get and having to store my items storage I waisted an entire day and had to miss work. I also reserved a storage unit and it was too small for my things! I had to get another storage elsewhere. This was the absolute worst experience I ever had. I would never recommend. I should be accommodated for inconvenience and lack of professionalism. This experience was horrible. // Later that morning a woman (Uhaul employee) arrived around 11am-11:30am. Her attitude was totally different from the man earlier that morning. She was very professional. Great place to store things! It’s the moving out that’s a pain. So many homeless folks come up and ask to help you, so I felt uncomfortable leaving my truck unattended to load up more for fear of my things being stolen. The elevator was also miserable to use if anyone else is moving at the same time. Anyone above you will come down with a full load and I waited 5 minutes for two rounds of people to unload the elevator. When it’s 80 degrees in that breezeway 5 minutes feels like forever. If you have a question and call the store you will be on hold for at least 30 - 45 minutes. I had an old and valuable antique oriental rug in storage. I recently moved into a larger dwelling and when I unrolled the rug there were larvae all over and a great deal of the rug was damaged, possibly destroyed. This was a family heirloom that apart from monetary value, had great sentimental value to me. I'm heartbroken this beautiful reminder of the home I grew up in and 3 subsequent homes of my own is so damaged. After being a loyal customer for nearly two years they decided to increase my rate, even though they still advertise and offer the same rate to people who are currently signing up. So they basically try to squeeze more money out of customers who have been there a long time, but continue to offer the same size unit to new customers for the price I had paid all along. I guess they are banking on customers being too lazy to move out. I called and left a message asking to discuss the issue with management and he never even took the time to return my call. Apparently U-haul is more interested in short-term profit than brand/customer loyalty. I found a very nice, brand new storage unit nearly twice the size (10x15) less than a mile away for basically the same price I had been paying U-haul. I may have no choice but to use the services of u-haul at some point in the future depending on where I am, but I can certainly tell you that it will never again be my first choice. I will shop around and likely pay more for a competitor's services if they are available before I ever resort to using U-haul again because I don't want to support a business whose business model is designed to "reward" customer loyalty with predatory practices.joshua m. | Overall Experience

We received two one month rentals after moving to the area but were told that we could only use one of those months because the first month would make us a customer voiding the second month. After finally agreeing to use one month we went after store hours to pick up some items from our storage only to find that there was a staff lock on our door with a sticker stating we were being locked out of our unit due to failure to pay. This was only 2 weeks after setting up everything with the one month free! When the staff put that lock on they put a second sticker on our lock, stating that it was an invalid lock yet it was the same style lock that the staff used to lock us out. At no point during any of this were we informed that the lock used to secure our belongings had to meet specific criteria. We were also never informed that we had been locked out of our belongings unit arriving after hours only to find we couldn't get in. As a result we were forced to make a last minute scramble to empty our belongings from the unit before the month ended.Carrie H. | Overall Experience
We have that unit for approximately seven years and never had any significant problems. We needed to downsize and there was not a smaller unit available at this facility so we had to go elsewhere. The only other issue that ever came up was I was in the hallway on the first floor just asked the office and sometimes they would have deliveries that were stored in someone blocking my entrance but the staff will always take care of it for me.ANDREW H. | Overall Experience
