The latches on the hood were no secured, unlocked. While driving over the skyway bridge the hood flew up and had 100 percent visual obstruction. If any accident would have occured, Uhaul may have been held liable. Whoever was responsible for securing the hood did not do so.dawn L.

The guy that works there - might be the manager was very kind and willing to assist when I hit a snag in my unit. Everyone is really nice - I think The units are really small compared to the ones in Md and Georgia - but I’m a master packer and made it work. Great location and they have lots of carts which came in handy because it got very busy and no one had to fight for carts - that was a plus. The person was an hour late, so I didn't get my truck until 12 when it was scheduled for 11. I put gas in the truck and returned it at the same fuel level and now you want to charge me 60 dollars for gas after driving 10 miles. I wouldn't recommend U-haul after the experience I had with you this week. I called and schedule a truck with a furniture dolly and 12 furniture pads. After reviewing my order I see that all I had was a truck. I called back and they said that your authorized dealers don't have equipment. Well the lady said she was charging 65 dollars to my account for everything. The phone rep I called about the missing equipment hung up on me after explaining. Moving isn't easy and U-haul made that experience even worse.Joshua K.

Would give a zero star if I could. From day 1 this was a hassle. Took me over an hour to get the unit since the line was so long. It wasn't cleaned. I had to clean it myself. The staff member gave me a broom instead of offering to clean herself. The manager is unreachable and doesn't care at all. Will never go to this location again and will never refer anyone here. As usual, my experience was reasonably good. However, also as usual, the interface of the website and check in is clunky as hell. I am continuously asked to repeat processes, re-enter information and repopulate basic data that was in your system from a rental just a few weeks ago. The website is intuitive but it leads people down rat holes with no way out without starting over. Please fix this. It is very annoying.john G.

The location and equipment were fantastic. Frank was slammed with customers and handled it like a pro. However, the app that is supposed to make things easier for pick up and drop off was horrible. Especially for drop off. Every time I tried to take a picture of the speedometer and gas gauge it would take me back to the same page asking me to do it again. About 10 blocks away from picking up the trailer, it came off the hitch and bounced all over the road. Obviously the guy hooking up the trailer did not tighten it down sufficiently. I've rented and towed many times from this location without incident. This time it was simply the guy not tightening the trailer to the hitch sufficiently. I had to pay a young man $20.00 to help get the trailer out from under the vehicle and back on the hitch. When reporting the issue, no compensation was provided. As best I can tell, I got to pay $20 extra for something that should never have happened. Not pleased, but will use this dealer again as my experience in the past has been very positive. I believe this was a one-off accident of sorts, but it would have been nice if the dealer would have at least taken some of the cost off to cover the $20 I was out due to their issue. Fred the manager and owner was excellent and helpful. Poor experience was this was the fourth location of the day due to lack of equipment and poor communication. Was redirected from original location on MLK and Gandy to Hitchworld (who hadn't see a truck for 3 weeks), who directed us to UHaul on 66th, who didn't have any trucks either. However Zach there was excellent and helped work with Traffic to get us down to the final pick up location near Tropicana Field. 2 hrs of minor panic but ended up OK and Fred and Zach to be commended, along with ?Dave in TrafficSIMON D.

Hire more workers/salespeople. Waited 45 minutes having to stand the whole time because there was no seating. There was two employees and only one of them was taking care of customers. The truck I rented stunk and the a/c did not work. I live in a Florida and it was very warm the days I had the truck plus I was very hot and sweaty moving/loading the truck for two days. Check in/out was a little time consuming for a move day. The front office has one person checking people in. She did a great job, was efficient and was very professional. Maybe on the weekends they need a second person? I'm also thinking they want to push the â€œmobile check-in.â€ I've rented here before. There was a mix up when I arrived with my furniture stating I had not paid which took some time to straighten out. At first they were ot going to give me the free month. Because of the mix up I could not set up an account. As they never answered the phone, I had to go to the store to pay for the extra months needed. When I was ready to leave, the elevator (only 1 at the facility), was broken! They laughed and said they didn’t know when it would be repaired. I wa very upset. The manager told me he was offended that I blamed him! Well,he is the manager! It was a strange reaction. Keep in mind, I was paying more rent because I couldn’t move into my new home because I could not get my furniture out of storage. This went on for 2 weeks! The manager did comp me a truck to move my furniture once the elevator was fixed. It did not cover the additional rent but I was just happy to be out. In addition, I had to go down to check on the elevator because again they didn’t answer the phones and no one called me to tell me it was fixed! I was given a truck with little gas and had to stop at a gas station as soon as I left. The truck jerked and bounced, sounding like not was going to breakdown. Upon arrival I was told they didn't have the truck I had already reserved for that day and time. I took a taxi just to get the truck and had to fight for any vehicle available. There was a system warning that the left rear tire pressure was low, and that the tire maintenance system needed attention. The lock box was nearly impossible to open. It took me over 10 minutes to access the key.Kathryn K.
I had to slam the drivers door multiple times to get it to actually close. Also I returned the gas level the same that I Picked it up. I went 34 miles and they said that they didn't return it at the same level as I picked it up as so they charge me $56 extra. I called to complain and they said sorry if you don't have a picture of the fuel gauge as you picked it up and a Picture of the fuel gauge when I dropped it off then they can't credit me. I have the charge on my statement that I put in gas but they won't except that. This is absolutely ridiculous that they would look at the gauge and say that it's under The level that I picked it up as. We are actually talking like a half a gallon if anything and nobody told me when I picked up the truck that I had to take a picture of before and after of the fuel gauge. That might be in the fine print along with a ton of other verbiage to read. That's very misleading but I don't feel I should've been charged another $56 for a half a gallon of gas. Not happyTerry T.

The system changed our rental type without notifying us. We only picked this location because it showed that equipment available. The steering wheel of the truck we received was literally disintegrating in my hands. It was disgusting. Also the gas system of returning at a random point (1/4 tank) is ridiculous. We ended up buying too much gas by overestimating and the â€œrefundâ€ we received for the fuel level is nowhere near the price of the fuel. In the future we will either rent elsewhere or ask that the location fill the truck prior to leaving.michael T.

Got the code to let me into the maximum security storage facility wasn't told that I had to check in using the code at this particular access point then I can use the door key pad but after that was explained to me I had no problems the staff was polite and courteous and even showed me to my storage unit and how to use my code to access the elevator and when I asked for a security card to let me in the door instead of using the code they gave me one without a fuss and told me if I have any problems questions or concerns please feel free to come to the desk and ask it may cost a little bit more but it is definitely worth every penny. I arrived at Uhaul at 8:15am. There was only 1 employee working. He was very slow. There were 3 people in front of me. By the time I got up to the counter it was after 10:35a.m. The Uhaul employee had a nasty attitude and was unprofessional. He was very condescending with myself and the black woman who was before me in line. However, his demeanor was totally different with the two other guys/customers that were in front of the line. I had to be to work at 12 noon but due to waiting 2 hours to get and having to store my items storage I waisted an entire day and had to miss work. I also reserved a storage unit and it was too small for my things! I had to get another storage elsewhere. This was the absolute worst experience I ever had. I would never recommend. I should be accommodated for inconvenience and lack of professionalism. This experience was horrible. // Later that morning a woman (Uhaul employee) arrived around 11am-11:30am. Her attitude was totally different from the man earlier that morning. She was very professional.
