JERRY MHad a horrible experience with several employees very rude. I’ve rented almost 200 times in the last three years from Uhaul Raymond Andrew Eissfeldt 217-377-8064 came in to rent a vehicle on Sunday and I was told that “Corporate would not rent to me” I have to say that your lines are recorded. People could listen to the phone calls. I’m going to actually be calling Corporate tomorrow I used to live in Arizona and know the Uhaul organization well .

NILESH TProcess renting cargo van was duplicative using website. I input my drivers license on website but still had to have it scanned at facility. I also input alternative contact on website but had to supply an additional alternative contact at facility. Experience would be better if I can upload license and been asked for second alternative contact on website.
JEREMY JWe're picking up gas gauge was at half tank when dropping off gas was at half a tank but they said it was slightly off half a tank and charged $7.12 for what would have amounted to maybe a gallon of gas. Had believe that rental price at time of rental included mileage but was surprised to find that mileage was added when dropping off. Not a big deal necessarily but would have been nice to know that this was going to be a cost that was incurred

Weinan ZParis is a GEM and so are her staff. Everyone was very friendly and answered all our questions and provided us with so much more information especially about the UHaul App and how helpful it will be if we decided to use it, which we will explore soon. This location is THE BEST!

I just have a baby and have been out of state and could not be physically there to move my items in such short notice. This is totally unacceptable and unreal!!!!!!! The manager, Victor, on the other hand, was super helpful to make my move to another nearby U-Haul storage in Urbana smooth coordinating with Jessica the GM there, although I do not know yet if the move has happened and have not received any information on that regard.

Kim C | Overall ExperienceThis location was a nightmare from start to finish. The contactless pickup didn’t work. I had to stand in line for 30 minutes. They didn’t have the truck I’d reserved so I had to get a smaller one. Finally went out to get it, and it was blocked in by a trailer. Finally got THAT moved and the truck was almost on dead empty for gas. Couldn’t even make it to my destination (in town) without filling up. Then return was a nightmare as well. Nowhere to park the truck and no one would answer the phone. I ended up leaving it parked on the side street because it was such a mess in their lot.

Mukhtar AVery poor experience returning the truck. There weren't nearly enough employees, or they didn't care, to tend to the piling up of trucks that were being returned. I sat in my truck for a half hour waiting for direction on how to get off the street and return my equipment. One gentleman made it seem like he saw me and realized I needed help, and then he just walked off to never return. I ended up having to go inside on my own and returning my key to an employee that was freely walking around. There was a line of other customers waiting along the entire length of the store. Very poor service and organization all around.

eileen fIt is in a convenient location, though we needed to be there at a busy move-in day, when the lot was very crowded. Staff were very helpful & patient. The man wrangling trucks that morning have us good advice on mirror adjustment. We really felt for one woman who'd been there at 7:30am and was _still_ working the desk at 6:30pm when we returned.

samelia h | Overall ExperienceI have rented from U Haul on many occasions. I was unable to get the vehicle that I filled out an order form. I had to accept one that was a size smaller and this will force us to complete the move using pickup trucks. The truck I got was the most defective piece of equipment I have ever been given in the many years I have been using your service. Weatherstripping was falling from the drivers door getting tangeled with the seat belt. In addition the cargo door could not be secured without a hammer.
Richard RThis U-Haul facility is severely understaffed. Corporate needs to figure it out, this location is in a college town. They need additional team members working April, May- September. Every time a person calls, they’re put on hold and “Victor” says “ there are four people in front of you”, please hold” That is the standard line and the hold is forever. This location is perfect. However, it is in dire need of laying torn down re- placed.

Suzanne SIf a customer has a vehicle reserved, have it pulled up close to the entrance. That way when you hand them the keys to the vehicle they don't have to go search for the vehicle. I understand if someone just walks in, that's not possible, but it is possible for those with a reservation. I had to search for the vehicle only to find it parked between two other vehicles, which meant that I had to wait for an employee to come and move the one in front so that I could get my rental unit out. Again, I had it reserved, they new I would be there at 8 am, yet I couldn't get to the vehicle.

Thomas BStaff's service attitude is bad. On top of that, I rent a cargo to help my move. However, after I stopped the engine, I cannot make it to restart again. It turned out that battery had issues. Then we called the maintenance service, and were informed that they would be reaching our location within 45 minutes. However, they ended up spending almost two hours to get here, and delayed my schedule significantly.
Chun-Yen YI was charged for gas even though I returned the truck with more gas than when I picked it up. I sent a picture of the gauge and am still waiting for a refund. The truck made various creaks and noises, though it work. I've made two calls regarding the overcharge for gas, and at this point, I believe I deserve more compensation than just the cost of the gas.
Martin WVery pleasant staff; as I was just starting to look for the rental van, one person directed me to wait, sheltered from the rain, while he got the van and drove it to me. Similarly for the return he jogged over and let me leave the van in the middle of the parking lot. He made it so easy. I felt well taken care of.
Katherine LWhen I review, they could not find my reservation. They asked my reservation number and it was not in my account also. It is somehow cancelled. Later I found it in cancelled reservations. Then I could rent a truck. I did not cancel it. It was not a nice experince.
ulas CThe TPMS sensor was on which seemed to be a sensor issue. This was understandable, however the tire it was indicating did seem a bit low. However, this was not the main issue. The AC in the vehicle did not work at all therefore it was incredibly difficult to drive with the heat.

Ruichun LThe employees of Uhaul stole my credit card information and made several fraudulent transactions while I was out moving into a new apartment. I learned about these fraudulent transactions post-Uhaul return. This was a big hassle as these folks decided to post a whopping >$1000 transaction overall in two days. The other issue I faced is that - I could return partial equipment and have to use a full contract if I renew. For example, a utility dolly that is of no use to me on the second day cannot be voided and returned prior to Uhaul's return. This implies you have to pay for no reason for the extra utility usage day.
Vikram SOver charged me for miles I never used I was refunded, but not the point. Need to keep track of people usage of mileage on truck.

I’m actually in another state moving back to Illinois and because of his lack of knowledge, I started to look elsewhere.
