Everything was great except there was a rattling in the door, but didn't notice it until I was on the freeway.DAVID W.
Only thing preventing me from giving an 'Excellent' rating was it didn't seem like they were adequately staffed for Sunday morning pickup in a college town during moving day (July 31st). It appeared there were only 2 or 3 attendants and there were about 20 people in line. I realize that Sunday mornings are normally not a busy time, but due to the college town move out/in day, they should have known that in advance and staffed appropriately. Once I got to the head of the line, I was taken care of very efficiently.Timothy C.
I had to reserve a parking spot on the street (which was an extra $50) for my pod on the guaranteed arrival date. Additionally, I had family in town that day who had planned on helping me move my belongings. My pod did not arrive on the guaranteed date, it arrived a week late. I didn't not have a reserved space (pod was illegally placed on the street) and I had to move my belongs by myself. The $300 refund (out of a staggering 2700!!) for the inconvenience does not come close to being enough and feels more like an insult. Browsing the internet after the fact, it seems like pods are misplaced or lost offen. I suggest you improve your service. Note, the actual customer representatives and pod delivery persons at each location were fantastic and helpful, it is the company and coordinating the delivery that I am unhappy with. Also, you should refund more than $50 a day for it being late.Joshua N.

Reserved a cargo van 3 weeks before pick up. Received a call from U-Haul 2 days before my scheduled pick up and was told no van would be available, if we move you into a 26 foot truck you can take something smaller that is turned in. When I checked in I was told nothing else was available I could take it or cancel it. I was told by customer service if I had to take the 26 foot truck I would still be charged the van price and mileage rate. When I checked I. I had to argue to the rates changed. When I asked for straps and a lock since I reserved a van I was told I could buy them they weren't giving them to me. Many smaller trucks were turned in while I waited in line. Since I got bumped into a different vehicle why could not someone else get bumped and I be allowed to check out a smaller truck? I see no adjustment for the actual miles I drove, I was charged my estimate. I would like a full refund. The customer service was not good. When someone reserves a small vehicle it is for a specific reason. I transported what I need in about 10 percent in the space of that 26 foot truck.Matthew S.

Got a 20' truck full of cockroaches and had to waste 2 hours taking the truck back for an exchange in which i was given a 15' truck because the other 20' trucks were "local only." We reserved a 20' truck.. The shorter truck had twice the mileage and rough suspension for a 10 hour drive... Had to throw personal items away due to laziness and ignorance from the GM and hourly workers.. Had to call 20 times to get a refund.Matthew B.

waited in line for a hour before i could get the truck we reserved. at check out i came to find out i was charged $331.49 for a one day rental going 79miles, the price i was quoted was $150.00 so i got ripped off. i called and was told that i signed the contract so it was to late to change. Also when i got the truck it had sticky stains from where someone spilt soda on the console... i wont be renting from a ripoff facility like this again, obviously with inflation your company is price gouging on your trucks i will go to a company that keeps its word on quoted prices and i will make sure i let everyone else i know my experiance as well.tracy T.

I made a reservation online for the 24/7 share. When I arrived and tried to check in on my phone it told me I needed to wait for the store to open at 7 am on 7/28. My reservation was for 7:30 pm on 7/28 and it was currently 7:30 pm. There were two employees inside the store after hours setting up shelf's and they were trying to assist me and gave me the card for the general manager to call. They thought maybe he could go into the system remotely and resolve my issue. The manager was curt on the phone and not apologetic. He stated that he would have to reopen the store to get into the system and that could only happen if he drove back in. I asked him to hold, while I tried to brainstorm and relay the information to the two employees who were trying to help me. One asked me to place the phone on speaker phone so he could talk to his manager. The manager presumed I couldn't hear him and made a rude and unempathetic statement of why I had gone back to speak with the employee and relay his message. I also overheard them discussing a recent string of glitches where this had been happening. He said if I came back in the morning he would rent me a vehicle and offer me a discount. I explained that I had a limited time frame to move and tomorrow wouldn't be an option. After talking with my employer, I made a new reservation online to be picked up the next day at noon with no certainty that a truck would be available. The online system stated that a representative would call during the day to discuss my options. Mid way through the morning of the next day I received an email saying that my reservation was confirmed. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I saw the manager sitting at his desk. I asked if he was who I had spoken to last night, and instead of simply confirming or even looking up at me, he remarked that I had said that today wouldn't be an option for me to pick up a vehicle. I explained that I had to take extra time off from work because I had no other option due to my reservation last night not being honored. Without responding to me and still not looking up at me he directed his employee handling my reservation to reduce the price per mile for my rental. Once I received my truck I was told that it was different from the one on my contract/receipt, which this proved an issue when returning and trying to enter my mileage and gas tank reading. The truck had issues with both the driver side and passenger side closing properly. I've rented many times from this location and after the experience I've had with the manager and the condition of the vehicle I received, I don't think I will continue to bring my business here.Kellen H.

There was too much disorganization. They had no trailers for the pods I reserved weeks ago. The employees were extremely rude to myself and other customers in line. The wait time was over an hour by the time I got a truck. The truck was heavily damaged and the driver door did not seal at the top. I ordered two appliance carts, 6 furniture dollies, and 24 moving blankets. I paid for those in full. Those were to be placed in the truck and ready for the pickup of the truck. When I arrived at the location, the salesman said, that we don't do that. Those are rented on a first come, first serve basis. My reservation was for 7 am. When I got there my truck was not there. I didn't get the truck until 7:45 meanwhile there were 4 people that I had hired to move my stuff waiting at my house for an hour and couldn't do anything because of the uhaul delay. The truck was not clean, food on the floor and a stack of moving blankets unfolded and thrown all over the back. The dolly I paid to rent was not in the truck so I had to go back in and get that which was a further delay. The check engine light was on and the â€œcheck fuel cap messageâ€ would not clear so I could not see the mileage and just had to assume it was what the App said. The lady who brought, had to go pick it up from a different location, and she said don't worry about the check engine light and gas cap message. Very poor experience overall , not to mention the 1 hour of wages for the four people I hired that was a complete waste of my money all because the truck was not ready and at the location at the time it was supposed to be.Jennifer E.

A number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key. For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks. The only negative I can say is that the unit’s lighting timer is too short. It’s well lit for about 5 minutes and then it goes off. The unit is very secure and very clean.
