This is a great location but I wish their parking lot was bigger.

The car tote that was reserved for us was not on site so we received another which took more time checking in. I paid at the time of service and then upon returning the equipment after hours the system wanted to charge us twice the amount that was required. It did not show that we had already paid. Something needs to be done about inventory control and the after hours system.

Trailer was clean and maintained. But, there where several sharp points from the galvanization process. Most notably on the handle for lifting the trailer tongue. I received a shallow cut from one of these. Uhual would be wise to file these points smooth, to prevent injury to both employers and customers. Also, employees where exceptionally terse, seemed overworked, I am familiar with these signs. Typical they are very conginial and helpful. As a side note, is it common for u-haul employees to drop their cigarette butts in the ground, and leave them there? Things here have declined in the past few months. I presume this is just fatigue from the covid-19 related events.

Not overcharge would be a good start! I was given a truck with just over 1/2 tank of gas and I put gas in truck to put it up to that point when I was done. I drove a total of 35 miles and was charged $14 for gas! Outrageous!

This is my second time in four years having to do a cross country move. This is the SECOND time that everything has gone wrong. The manager of the business loop location was very nice but that is it. Everyone one else had attitudes. I find that calling the location or even the corporate office leads to no resolution to any issues. A BBB review will be posted about this, if the company doesn't care it should at least be posted publicly. On this it even has me dropping off to the wrong location.

When I called the 1-800 # as requested on contract receipt the day of drop off the operator said no locations were open on Sunday. When I arrived at the drop off location they were open.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. I dropped off my uhaul truck and tow dolly within the 5 days of use and DID NOT go over my allotted miles. I had the receipt of delivery at the CORRECT drop off location. Then a month later they billed me for almost $700 because the tow dolly was not returned and it was taken and dropped off at another location, which was 600 miles from the place I dropped off the uhaul and tow dolly to begin with. I am NEVER using Uhaul again. I've tried contacting the uhaul location where it was dropped off and all they said was “we will look into it”.

There was a lock that had to be removed with a bolt cutter, so obviously it was not inspected upon return by the last customer.

Employee talk too fast, had asked over and over what they were saying. Seem like they was in a hurry to get me out of there. Trailer had electrical wire in it, and round plastic pieces from previous user.

Truck cab was obviously not cleaned: dust on dash and someone else's sunglasses in the console. When checking in, I was told my Temporary Driver License paper couldn't be accepted as legal ID because "they could be forged". Another rep told the person checking me in to the ust enter the info from the form, but the rep instead demanded the names and m.j numbers of two other people "in case you dont bring the truck back". I offered to bring another driver with a license card in to drive if my I'd was a problem, and then the rep began grilling me about potential other drivers. Terrible service at pickup, excellent service at drop off, however. That Rep was prompt, courteous, and generally worked to make sure the drop off went as smooth as possible.

I was staggered by the cost of using a Uhaul truck for 1 day. You should look into lowering your price. I will certainly look into other avenues next time

Employee who processed our return wasn't wearing a mask when I entered store, and didn't put one on to talk to me, walk me out, or tell me he would email me receipt. Eww, germs! I did appreciate how quick he made the return process.

The guy took pictures of my credit card and my driver's license with his personal cell phone. he was not wearing a mask which is against city ordinance at this time in Columbia Missouri because all businesses have to wear a mask and he was not he had it on but he didn't have it over his nose and mouth like he was supposed to it was under his chin period and when he hooked up my trailer I couldn't figure out why it was so noisy we got overloaded the lawn mower on it and the noise kind of stopped when we went to unload the lawn mower off the trailer hitch came off the ball that trailer was not even hooked down tight to the ball on my truck I could have lost the trailer in the middle of the highway I could have lost my new zero turn mower because of it and because it was not latched down all the way something was broken in my mower now because of the way that that thing was bumping and bouncing around on the road so now I have to take my mower to be repaired again. I will not ever do business with the Columbia U-Haul on business loop 70 and Sexton road I will drive to the next town to get a trailer the next time I have to have one

We paid cash for our truck and trailer (1500) but on this trip it was obvious this was not going to be good. When I went to get the truck I was meet with a person that had a very strong attitude and not a good one. We paid for our truck on the 3rd of Sept. and was told it would be setting waiting on us for our pickup on the 4th. When I got to U-Haul the Rep. told me I had no truck, he can't find it, this went on for about an hour, some way or how he came up with a truck.The truck was not a good match for this trip as it truly Struggled to pull the trailer and our vehicle, causing frequent stops for gas double of what it should have, I think we were not treat well by U-haul.If someone was going to take a trip across the state I would not recommend U-Haul!

The reservation system is HORRIBLE. After losing my reservation several times, triple booking me for random dates and times, booking my U-Box to the wrong location, not having my box available at the scheduled time, LOSING IT AND OTHERS" U-Boxes at the site, I got a call about a reservation months after I was done, moved out and paid about whether I'm ready to pick up my box! HOURS spent trying to resolve all these issues and not get billed for things I didn't purchase/use. DO NOT USE THE STORAGE FACILITY AT U-HAUL. They do not have the infrastructure to manage it properly.

Return staff began disconnecting the trailer without speaking to me or looking inside the trailer. I attempted to use the after hours self return feature offered through the Uhaul App. The app failed repeatedly due to “network failure” when I tried to upload a photo of the interior of the trailer.

For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks. We were able to get in if there were staff there to move trucks out of our way, but the route to the storage area entrance was blocked off by trucks for 3 or 4 days in a row, severely limiting our ability to move our items out of storage after work.

The only negative I can say is that the unit’s lighting timer is too short. It’s well lit for about 5 minutes and then it goes off. The unit is very secure and very clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our move easier. Tammy, Abdul and Cam are the best! This is a great location and I highly recommend.
