The attitude of the staff was the worst part. I understand staffing is an issue at all places but it was just people who hate their job at every turn. They did not secure my car fully on the auto trailer when we paid them to do so. That could've been very devastating if it wasn't caught in time. We rented furniture pads and they weren't there in the truck when we needed. So we had to drive across town to go pick them up and needed to wait 20-30 minutes for them to bag them. We didn't end up using all of what we rented and we wanted to leave them at this location. We didn't even want a refund but we didn't have room for them. We were basically told we would be charged fully if they didn't show up at our destination because they didn't know how to amend a contract. When we got to our destination we were told that is absolutely not true and that the other location â€œwas just lazyâ€. It's a shame this is the only U-Haul in town.LADENA S.

Wash the inside of windshield. Engine was making sounds that were not right. Double check mileage to make sure you don't bill a person excessively for 900 miles when they only drove 60, because it takes up to 5 days to receive the refund and God forbid it overdraws their account. Nobody wants to wait 5 days for a huge refund like that. You have to get a better system that refunds people immediately like the rental car places have.Jacqueline S.

Get like a scam, reserved a 20ft truck for the length of the items I was moving. Was told only 15ft were available. Got to the lot and there were several 20+ ft trucks present. Had to make three trips due to having to angle the items, returned and the 20ft trucks hadn't moved at all. So they could have been used. Then I got charged more per mile since I had to make three trips, no concession due to being in a smaller truck.Jacob H.

I am very upset by the way my rental was handled. I arrived to pick up my rental and initially was given the wrong vehicle. Due to the fact that I would be receiving the truck with less than a quarter tank, but needed to return it with a quarter tank, I was told that I would be credited $15 to make up the difference. Eventually my actual vehicle was located and the rest of the pickup went smoothly. However, upon drop-off, I asked if there was anything that I should sign, or if anyone was going to look over the truck before I left, and I was told no, there was nothing else that needed to be done, and I could just leave the keys. Several days later, I received the receipt via email for my rental. I was charged $30 more than my quote, the main charge being a "fuel charge" of $20. I was immediately confused, as we filled the tank up to 1/4 tank RIGHT before dropping the vehicle off, yet the receipt showed the tank at just above empty. I called the store and explained what happened, and was told by 3 separate people on 3 different days that they weren't able to help me at the time, and to try calling back later. I am very frustrated, as I refuse to pay a refueling charge in ADDITION to not receiving the $15 credit, when I was refused the opportunity to have someone look over the truck at drop-off with me. I am very disappointed by how the situation has been handled and I will not be returning.NICOLE G.

While I understand that it needs to be done, I found the after-hours experience a pain. Instead of simply dropping off the vehicle and keys, I had to make several trips back to the truck to acquire all the pictures, and it took quite a bit of time. maybe if I did it more often, I would know what was needed. Regardless, I am left with a new reality, I either cannot turn it in after hours, or I am required to have a smart phone and time, or I pay $20. This location was great however my whole experience was ridiculous. I had a different pick up location, who could not find my truck and when they did it was damaged. We had to wait for them to call customer service. After 40 minutes we were told to go to a different location. I would not recommend U Haul to anyone because I was given a 20 foot truck when I reserved a 15 foot truck. It literally cost me 400 dollars because I had to hire someone to drive it for me. I was not comfortable with that size truck. if I wanted a 20 foot truck i would have ordered a 20 foot truck.SALLY K.

This place is honestly so unfriendly, dirty and the trucks have NOT been vacuumed or cleaned in a VERY long time. It is so obvious that the trucks are parked, fueled and handed off to the next person. There were dirty socks and underwear laying on the dashboard of our truck. Smoke filled smell too! With COVID-19 and the seriousness of this virus - the trucks should be CLEANED and they are NOT at all! The staff were lazy and very rude! Cameron was trying to take care of all customers and was overwhelmed, but friendly to us. They could NOT keep track of trucks and keys at all! For whatever reasons, we were unable to access our unit for 2 days because the storage facility and the parking lot at the u-haul center was overflowing with u-haul trucks. The only negative I can say is that the unit’s lighting timer is too short. It’s well lit for about 5 minutes and then it goes off. The unit is very secure and very clean.
