I was disappointed that I had reserved the cargo van 3 days in advance through the national system and it was not there for me. I have been chastised by this staff in the past for not making a reservation and yet when I did this time they obviously gave the cargo van to someone else. Disappointing. They acted as if I should be happy that I got a ten foot box truck. And yet that is not the same gas mileage and it is more difficult to drive in a cargo van. I guess prompt, attentive customer service is a thing of the past? Don't get me wrong -- I wasn't treated badly. The service I received was just sort of like they didn't care if I did business with them or not. A greeting and a smile and a look in the eye would have been great, but I don't seem to get that treatment anywhere often any more.douglas J.
Nothing - return was very easy; park in the return line and take key inside. I did have to speak to a manager in order to remove the charge for the utility dolly, which seemed to be an easy fix that the location staff could/should have been able to make.Scott L.

Get things right. I was charged $20 for out of hour return when the van was returned around 1pm and I handed the key to a staff member. Yet to get/see my $20 refund.OLUSEYI O.
Horrible horrible experience! Got a call the day before my rental that they didn't have truck for me anymore, then after a long call with someone who was clueless found out that they called the wrong person and my rental was all set. Then on Sunday there was only one person working when I got there, he was busy which was no problem. Then second guy rolled in about 20 minutes after opening parked in the closet customer spot to the front door and was insanely unprofessional. Informed me the dolly I reserved was given to someone else. I really needed one and asked to check to make sure. I told him I was in a hurry since I was driving to Chicago and had to get unloaded that night. I have NEVER seen anyone move so slow in my entire life and to top everything off he wasn't even wearing real shoes!! He was in house slippers slowly shuffling around. I asked to speak to a manager on duty and they told me he was at church and wouldn't answer his phone. That is 100% unacceptable, to be on duty but un-reachable is crazy! The attitudes of both people working were completely inappropriate, they couldn't have cared less that they moved at the pace of a sloth and were rude and unhelpful. The other guy was also wearing house slippers. How can you allow your employees to wear slippers and treat customers like that! Will positively never use uhaul ever again - complete idiots working down in the office in Springfield and total asses working in the store in Columbia. And you can't go to church while you are supposed to be working!TIMOTHY L.

Be more pro active when checking in and do a walk through on the condition of the rental truck. Also there was was no paperwork given at time of pickup to carry on board to show prove of rental. I rented a 15ft truck and was given a 20ft, which cost me more in fuel. I was charged for a 4 day rental and returned it in less than 48 hours with no compensation for early return. I feel I was overcharged. The windows were dirty on the inside and out making it hard to see through and spent unnecessary time getting it clean enough to see through clearly. The truck ran good but used more gas than a smaller truck for what little I had.HOWARD D.

Rented 12 mover pads. Staff made it clear they were low stock, and may not have any. They found a bag (going out of their way to find them, which was very nice of them and I appreciated). Only got 6 mover pads, though. Not clear if I was charged for 6 or 12 on the form, and if the other site is going to charge me thinking there should be 12, not 6. Otherwise, no complaints. Excellent staff. Friendly, witty, and funny. Made the experience incredibly smooth. Site was extremely clean and well taken care of.Andrew W.

Poor because I returned the truck on 8/31/21 per contract and yet was charged for an additional day. Also, the Uhaul website is inadequate and glitchy and the 800 # routeenly has a 30 min + wait time.Theodore M.
I rented the largest truck uhaul offers. I only reserved it for half a day not knowing if I'm being charged by the hour or the day. For starters you could improve the information provided on your website. The gentleman who cashes me out tells me he'll email me a receipt. Truck is due back at 1:30. And some will pull it upfront for me. Oh and he also tells me they don't have any dolly's even though I made my reservation to include one 2 weeks ago. But that's all. Doesn't tell me about putting fuel in it or if need more time what I do. Nothing. My receipt was not emailed to me until I called and asked for it. I got texts about verifying the condition of the truck, after I was already clear across town. I later called to ask how I extend the time on the rental and how it's charged. And he's half paying attention to me and talking to someone else. Tells me it's by the day. When I ask him to clarify what that means for uhaul he then tells me if I drop it off past 1:30 (which was a 6 hour reservation) then I would owe for another day. My fiancÃ© took the phone from me and told him we picked it up at 9am. Is a day 24hrs, or the duration of business hours. Told 24hrs and told that they close at 7pm that day. Go to return my truck 15 minutes before close. The door is locked. I stand there and wait, holding my keys. The same guy finally comes walking out and opens the door far enough for him to stick his head out and say â€œwhatâ€ told him I was there to return my truck. He told me to leave the keys in it and e'll get to it, he's gotta get stuff closed up. Meanwhile there are several other customers still in the lot trying to drop things off and etc. I don't know how you run your business but any job I had we were open and serving customers till closing time and then we locked the doors to clean and close up things. A number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key.
