The pick up process was not as easy as it was presented. It wouldn't recognize my location even after following directions. I called but spent most of the time on hold. I did finally get it to work by using the app. Perhaps clearly list what will occur at check in as opposed to just saying you need a mobile device. Probably should be suggested up front. Getting the vehicle took about 30 minutes.Jamie H.

I purchased the 24 HR access to my storage unit, yet on two separate occasions I was not able to gain access. Not only that. I chose this location due to the fact it had an additional security fence around the perimeter. For over a month the gate to this fence was left wide open due to construction. I was never notified of this or that we wouldn’t have access due to construction/pouring concrete. I tried to reach the store by phone on multiple occasions, which is not possible due to the fact that I’m routed to a call center. After you wait on hold for 45 minutes the call center informs you that they know nothing about these units due to the fact that they are managed on the local level. Which it is impossible to reach them due to the fact all the calls are forwarded to a call center. In an effort to find answers I sent an email to the store with my questions about the security gate and not having access. My email was never responded to (over a 2 month period). I then receive an email and text notification from the store saying “there is an emergency with your storage unit, please contact us right away at 402-932-0440.” The number was incorrect. It’s is not the store number or any number for U-haul. Due to the message, I was concerned about the state of my items, especially since the number I called only ever ringed without answer. I took off work and drove to Omaha to find out what was wrong. Turns out nothing was wrong and my payment was just late. Upon arriving at the store and finding out that the store is apparently using emergency messages to trick people into coming into the store, I went over my issues. The response I received was that I must have not been doing it right because that was impossible for me to not have access. Even though the movers that I payed to move my items (for no reason since I couldn’t access to my unit) also tried multiple times. I closed my account and moved my items to another location. It is a shame to see U-haul having such poor business practices, especially when they used to have such high standards.SETH B. | Overall Experience

At both the pick up and drop off, when we needed help the employee at the desk was rude and short. Instead of helping us with the drop off, because we were unsure of what to do, he road around on a bike while we waited for another employee to come and assist us.Cait D.

I needed to extend a one day rental to two days. I was told it would be an additional $19.95 plus the $10.00 insurance. Upon return of the van I was charged a $79.95 additional day charge. I was then told it was because I had driven more than 100 miles. I had indicated that I was would be driving 200+ miles at time of rental, and was not informed of any additional charges. I requested the additional charges on my billing to be reversed and was refused. I would not recommend anyone doing business here for these reasons.Michael G.

My reservation pick up location changed 3 times!! The last time was 30 minutes prior to pick up and we were already at a dif location which was 10 miles from where we made the original reservation. Not happy with this at all. The service was fine once we got to the right place but what is the point in confirming the day before if you change it literally as I'm standing at the location I confirmed with?Richard R.

Your customer service people working were a bunch of clowns. Explicitly arguing with one another in front of me at checkout, and one played a video game on his phone at full volume through the entire check-out process. Also, I never had the final receipt emailed to me.Jeremy S.

I do not know if it was a fluke but there seemed to be a lot of business when I arrived and only two front desk personnel. The line was almost 6 customers deep when I left. If this is a daily occurrence then perhaps more front desk personnel, If I just arrived at an odd moment then no change. To be open, instead of a rusted lock system, the truck needed a oil change, this truck was unsafe to drive. Was stuck in tow. A 2 1/2 hour drive took 4 hours because my father felt unsafe traveling to Kansas City.Kim E.

The only thing I would say is the truck I rented needed a tune up or some transmission work lol! Other than that the lady that checked us out was great. The ignition switch on the truck we rented stuck making it hard to start . The guy that we picked the van up from was horrible. The best attribute to customer service was that he was still breathing. He was rude and had no desire to help us. When we checked the van back in and he was there again. He told us he would not check in the van and to go find someone out side to do it. Pendleton's towing was absolutely the worst experience ever. I then received a phone call that my equipment was never returned when I had in fact returned it early. I would not use Pendleton's towing for anything uhaul ever. Questionable if I'll ever use uhaul again based off this experience. Especially with how much I paid. FuriousMaha A.

My trailer was not checked in when I arrived to pick it up so they almost gave me a different one. It turns out it was there they just failed to process it into their inventory. I then dropped mine off and got a call the next day saying I still needed to return my trailer which I obviously had and they again failed to process into their inventory.RICHARD L.
